    Ground chicken basil

A friend and I dined in for dinner and everything was exceptional, I mean everything. Atmosphere, service, and food - 5 stars. I don't live in the area and I will definitely be making my way back here again. We got REAL lucky with our timing, within 10 mins of being seated there were customers coming in to dine in (all tables full and now people waiting) + a constant flow of carry out orders. This small and locally owned business seats about 25 people total. The restaurant is kept clean, bright and has windows throughout. You definitely feel at home here. I think this is a family owned and run business as well. For food I tried the yellow curry (mild) that comes with rice. OH MAH GAWD! By far my favorite Thai yellow curry I've had from anywhere. It was full of flavor with a slight kick. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the veggies took to the curry well. This dish comes with a side of rice and is portioned appropriately when compared to the price.

First time in this place and it was wonderful! Staff was so friendly and attentive. We decided to eat in. There is not a lot of seating, but the seating is comfortable. We tried the Tom Yum Soup, Panang Curry and the Ground Chicken Basil. All three were delicious. My favorite was the curry, it was simple comfort food. Very happy with our meal. They have some imported beer and a few selections of wine.

Amazing service and food. I have tried many green curry's, this one was the best. I love the veggies that they add and they give you lots of chicken. LOTS of flavor. He said his duck was the best duck he has ever tasted. They offer wine and beer, beer was good. So was the wine. Love the presentation! Very cute. It is a tiny place, but very cute. Not for large groups. I can't wait to come back and try more dishes. They have a lot of options. Place is very clean.

Our go to night at home date night place! We order Crab Rangoon's to start and our main course is Pad Thai. My wife gets the tofu, medium for spice selection. I get the chicken, medium as well. Both the crab rangoons and pad Thai are excellent. The chicken is very tender and never disappoints. Owners are very nice, and always greet me with a smile and call me by name. Closed Tuesday so plan accordingly.

Finally tried this relatively new Thai restaurant tucked away in a strip mall. Really, really good. The establishment is small but well appointed. New, comfortable chairs and tables. Heaters installed on the ceiling to keep diners warm on a cold, rainy night like last night are much appreciated. Our server, who is a family member who owns the restaurant, was efficient and very informative. I opted for the Thai basil chicken. You could tell it was made from scratch. Fresh veggies, tender chicken, and a succulent sauce/flavor really hit home. Added bonus I washed it down with a cold Singha beer. Oh, the obligatory order of egg rolls was hardly ordinary. Light crumpets that delighted my taste buds especially with their sweet, tangy sauce. Will be a repeat customer.

Veg basil fried rice with tofu

I placed an order to pick up. The lady taking order was helpful and suggested options for me. The space from inside is small. When we went for pick up, it took 10 min to make payment. The lady at reception gave us food and then started chatting with other guests. We have to search for the person to take our payment. The pop stickers were made out of chicken, and we ordered vegetarian. We called back, and the lady wanted to make this right. But we just needed a refund as it's not a great experience. She did the same, but I'm not sure if it works. We will come to know in 3-5 business days. The veg basil fried rice was good with tofu. But the noodles dish her recommendation was really sticky, and we think it has fish sauce. Even the sauce we got on side had a fishy smell.

Kao soi with crispy fried noodles on the side, and laab gai in salad form--so good!

I was happy to be the first customer here! The women who own and operate this new, much-welcome Thai establishment have done a wonderful job. The chef came out and spoke to me, and I learned she had a successful history with another Thai restaurant in the area. This one is tastefully designed with both Thai arts and modern decor. Being on the corner, it has bright, airy windows on two sides, and I could for sure imagine dining in. Today I did take-out and ordered the Kao Soi with beef which was tender and flavorful. But the Laab Gai was frankly addictive. You can eat it as a salad or add rice to go with--especially if you need something to balance its delightful spiciness. I can't wait to try more, and as a person with a Thai background who lives a couple minutes away, I couldn't be happier for this new addition!

This has become my new favorite Thai restaurant. The chicken pad Thai tastes very fresh, I always ask for a little more veggies though.

Love the decor, but it can get busy and a little noisy. Servers are nice, but at times get a little lost, as you might sit for a bit when you need something. Room for improvement. Occasionally sticky tables or wet chairs. Been twice where we needed things rewiped. Room for improvement. Food is always good and very fresh. Depending on what you order, can be a little higher priced, but still fair. Good value, Reservations are through Rezy and they have ePerks if you signup through their web store ($10 signup bonus + birthday rewards). May take a few days for email to arrive after processing. Absolutely one of our favorite places. This trip, ordered Spider and Rainbow Rolls, with my wife ordering Kung Pao Chicken Noodles. Our friends had the Mongolian Beef (one of favorites) and various other sushi rolls. Try the Pork Lo Mein which comes with shrimp or maybe a Sake flight. See you next time!

It's a cozy byob spot with a large menu offering a variety of Thai dishes. We had a big group of 10 people that my brother called ahead for and I have to say that I was pretty surprised they were able to accommodate us on a Friday night given how busy it was throughout our time there. The staff was on it all night so the service was very smooth from appetizers all the way to dessert. I was happy to be able to go with such a large group as we got to sample a bunch of things. For appetizers alone we shared orders of summer rolls, chicken satay, potstickers, money bags, gyo, cucumber salad and the lettuce wraps. For an entree I ordered the Koong Kra Tiem which came with big jumbo shrimp and was really savory. The steamed vegetables were a little bland but wiping up the extra sauce from the shrimp fixed that. Other notable dishes were the basil beef stir fry my dad got and the Green Fire chicken and Thai fried rice my brothers ordered. I really appreciate what Tusk offers in terms of food but what has made them stand out is their commitment to service and how kind they are. I'm sure my family and I will be looking forward to enjoying a meal from their restaurant again soon.

Review of Thai Village Restaurant…read more For context, my doctor's practice is nearby so I've passed by Thai Village Restaurant every few months whenever I have an appointment. I always wondered what the food was like but never had the time to check it out because I was usually rushing back to work. But recently, I had Friday off and scheduled my doctor's appointment around that. After the appointment, the weather was nice, and I was starving, so I decided to walk over around lunchtime and finally try it for myself. The place is a bit small on the inside, but it's kept very clean, which I appreciate. The service was also very fast. Even though it was lunchtime on Friday, there weren't a lot of people around, so I was seated almost immediately and a waitress came by to take my order shortly after. I ordered the Panang Curry with chicken (which also came with a side of rice), and a soda. The food came out pretty quickly too, and was steaming hot. I had thought initially since nobody was around, that maybe the food or service here might be bad. I was wrong. I've had a lot of Panang Curries in the past (it's my favorite Thai dish), so I knew what to expect taste-wise. But this was probably the best Panang Curry I've ever had, hands down. It made the other Panang Curries I've had from other Thai restaurants nearby seem bad in comparison. This Panang Curry was spicy (but not *too* spicy), savory, and it had the perfect ratio of sauce to vegetables to chicken. I also really appreciate that this restaurant didn't skimp out on the chicken; other nearby restaurants will throw in just a small handful of meat pieces and call it a day, which ruins the dish in my opinion. This was the ultimate Panang Curry, and probably the best one you'll find in the suburbs of Chicago. Aside from the food, the restaurant was clean, the service was fast, and the staff was nice. I'd highly recommend checking out this place for some good Thai food, or at least stopping by for a quick lunch.
