The BEST Thai Food in Santa Monica!! Serving Authentic Thai Dishes for over 35 years! It's the perfect spot for lunch or dinner!! Check out their lunch specials Monday - Friday 11 - 3pm. Bold, vibrant and balanced flavors--a harmonious mix of sweet, sour, salty, and spicy, with a hint of bitterness and creamy notes. Intensely aromatic with a spicy kick. They all work together to make each dish come alive. Some of our favorite dishes of the night were the TOM KHA THAI SPICY COCONUT SOUP, SQUID SALAD, PANANG ROASTED CURRY, PAD SEE EW and CHOCOLATE TEMPTATION CAKE!! Thai Dishes Wilshire is at their new location in Santa Monica, with private rooms perfect for any celebration, work lunch or dinner! They also have a full bar with beer and wine. Great customer service from Rodrigo, Mayt and Aaor.

Was craving fried rice, got the yellow curry fried rice with shrimp and it was some of the most delicious fried rice I've had in my life. Big serving for sharing or leftovers. They really get into the holiday decor it seems like. Employees are so kind and polite, super attentive and I noticed they were really careful to not interrupt conversations.

Lunch specials and beer!

The lunch specials are an excellent value: generous portion sizes and very tasty. The flat noodle dishes have a wonderful smoky taste from stir frying and the curry dishes have a healthy kick of spice at "Medium". The servers were both attentive and checked in with us at regular intervals to make sure everything was good. The interior is cozy on a rainy LA day and offers enough privacy between tables to comfortably converse while the overall vibe is fairly lively. Will definitely be back!

A cozy Thai place in Santa Monica with good lunch deal. For the same price from the menu, if you order the lunch items in their lunch hours, they give you extra rice and a snack for free. As a Thai person, I think the dishes were delicious, but way too sweet. If the sweetness can be reduced 50-70%, it would be perfect for me. We tried a lot of dishes and had a Thai food feast here. What I think was good: crying tiger, fried rice, cashew. Somtum and curry were too sweet for me. They also have Thai beers: Singha and Chang, which you probably want to order to pair with the dishes. There was a small free parking lot at the back, which was very needed for the area. Service was very nice. Servers were happy to help.

Thai Dishes definitely satisfied my Thai food craving. The Pad See Ew here was heavenly (the best I've had), flavorful, tender beef, and perfectly cooked noodles. Unfortunately, the Pad Thai noodles lacked flavor and were overcooked. I think the food here can be a hit or miss but the portions are great and it's good food overall. I wouldn't go out of my way for it but if you're in the area, I'd check it out!

We went earlier this week for lunch. Hadn't been since they'd relocated. There is lots of meter parking in front and on the sides od the establishment. Behind the restaurant there is 2 handicap spots and limited regulat parking. The establishment was clean, offered plenty of seating and our server was really nice. We didn't have to wait long for food but it tasted fresh and delicious. We got a couple Thai teas that were also great just a bit too sweet for my preference so the waiter was kind enough to add a bit more tea to balance it.

I love tom kha gai, and it's one of my go-to dishes at Thai restaurants. My friend got takeout from here, and it was THE best one I've had so far. I got medium spicy to be on the safe side, and I can definitely go a level higher next time.

Thai Dishes Wilshire - Santa Monica Serving Santa Monica since 1981 This local gem has been dishing out Thai comfort classics for over four decades and it shows. The Chicken Satay is smoky and tender, with a peanut sauce that deserves its own spotlight. Chicken Kapow packs a fiery punch with basil and chili, while the Chicken Curry is rich, aromatic, and soul-warming. Don't skip dessert: the lemon tart is zesty and refreshing, and the chocolate cake adds a decadent finish. Vibe: No-frills, fast service, and flavors that speak louder than decor. Felix the Cat's Pick: Chicken Kapow--bold, spicy, and totally addictive.

Good food and menu full of Thai staples. Had all the classics: pad see ew, pad Thai, crying tiger, papaya salads tom kha. Very big shareable portions. So delicious. You can use the in store discount code "VIP" to get a Thai tea for free while dining in.

Welcome to @thaidisheswilshire the most amazing authentic Thai food filled with incredible people and even better dishes! Had to start off with my favorite Thai tea, I went during the day to enjoy all the super affordable lunch options yay! The pad thai and the pineapple fried rice was my favorite, don't forget mango sticky rice for dessert! Cheers to finding the best ambiance

Absolutely the worst 3 dishes from any restaurant! Over cooked , drenched in sauce on salad almost half a bowl, meat dry to the bone . Our pad Thai chicken was over done and noodles with no taste ! The service was good this place nothing worth it .,$77.00 throwing in the disposal. A shame since we live in the neighborhood. Never to waste money again on garbage food.

Came here for dinner with my kiddo. So glad we did! We started off with spicy fried wontons and Thai iced teas. So good! Then we got a bunch of dishes and left stuffed. Definitely bringing the rest of the family next time. I also like the cool decor and great service.

Ask the Community - Thai Dishes

Does the new location serve wine?

Yes, they have a bar and good selection of wine at this new location

Do they have cocktails?

I know for sure that the restaurant serves bottled beer. I'm pretty sure it does not serve cocktails. There is no bar area. Call the restaurant to get the definite answer.

What containers do they package takeout food in?

Recyclable plastic containers (at least for what I typically takeout).

It was my first time here, and I'm so glad I discovered this place! The seafood was incredibly fresh, and we honestly enjoyed every dish we ordered. The highlight for me was definitely the oysters -- they were so good that I had to order a second round . Another standout was the steamed mussels in white wine and garlic sauce. The mussels were huge, juicy, and packed with flavor. I was also very impressed by the miso black cod. It came with mushrooms in a rich miso sauce that paired perfectly with rice. Everything tasted comforting and well-balanced. Our server was also very thoughtful and friendly. He split the clam chowder into four smaller portions for our group, which made it much easier to share. One thing to note: the seafood market opens early, but the restaurant itself opens at 11 AM. And if you end up loving the fish from your meal, you can actually buy the same fresh marinated fish directly from the market to take home. Such a cool concept!

After this first experience, this place is about a solid three stars for me. I may come back again if in Santa Monica... I am still a bit under the weather and drove here because I wanted some kind of seafood soup. They offer three different kinds of soups which I appreciated! There is NE clam chowder, Manhattan clam chowder and a fish chowder. Since I dont always see fish chowder on the menu, I ordered a small bowl. I wanted a larger bowl and a place to sit down and eat it but the place was packed for lunch and I didnt feel like grabbing a spot at their bar as I needed to get back on the road, so just went with the small (and I am glad I did - read on to see why). They have a funny system here because you only order their menu items from a cashier in the back, but then take a number if you want fresh seafood. I wanted to try their Hawaiian style poke and cashier had me go and grab a number. I grabbed a number and it wasn't busy so I was served immediately. For a 1/4 lb of Hawaiian poke, it was about $9.50. Whats also strange is that I grabbed my soup (did not pay for it in the back), and my Hawaiian poke and then paid up front. Everything came close to $20. I sat in my car, (which thank goodness, this seafood market has its own parking lot, so that was greatly appreciated), and dug into my soup. Unfortunately, the soup was pretty bland and needed a bit more salt. But, I will say that the ingredients used in the fish chowder were all very fresh, and fish wasnt overcooked, but it needed to be seasoned more. Hawaiian poke was great, excellent taste. Overall, a so so experience, I would have liked better scenery to eat my food being I was very close to the beach and wished I had a more seasoned fish chowder. I could be convinced to come back and give it a second try, but I think I might prefer to visit Malibu Seafood which isnt too far from here and has great ocean views.
