Not sure how you put zero stars. Ordered golden pompano fried with spicy sauce. Fish came steaming. Apparently it was just the sauce steaming. The fish was obviously previously cooked from the night before as the knife won't even cut through the skin. I called my waitress and informed her about the issue and I asked for a plate switch. When I selected scallops. One guy popped out and told me that I may not like it !!! I asked why and he coldly stated that I don't like the way they cook the seafood. I'm a big fan of Westwood Thai Cafe and even prefer it to Emporium right down the street. I haven't ever dined in, but have ordered takeout and delivery quite a few times and have not been disappointed. I have tried a few of the noodle dishes and a couple curries, and tom kha soup, all of which are packaged well, good portions, reasonably priced, and tasty. Wow! We were on our way back from the Getty center and decided to try this spot. Parking was a little tight, and it wasn't busy at 6pm, but we are so glad we stayed! The restaurant is small and clean, with quick waitstaff. The food was fantastic-- rich and savory, with a balanced spice/acidity in the soup. This cute thai place has a cozy vibe, definitely a place you should try in the area (Saffron and Rose is almost right next to it)! My friend and I came here wanting to try new thai places in the area and really enjoyed our meal here. The staff sat us down immediately. We both got the tom yum noodle soup, which has such a light but savory broth. It had so many things-- pork, chicken balls, wonton strips, shrimp, and of course, noodles. This dish was very comforting, with the spices in the broth making my nose run, variety within the meats/proteins, and satisfying noodles. It was genuinely so filling and the portion was great, we both had a hefty amount left over that we are excited to have as a second meal. It seems like a lot of people get takeout from here, so the inside was quite empty; would recommend sitting down here for a hearty meal! I want to come again to try the lunch combinations! Ordered Sweet and Sour with shrimp. Received Sweet and Sour with chicken and two pieces of shrimp. Refund declined by DoorDash, which may be in violation of CA's AB 578, but that's another story. Upon calling the restaurant directly, they referred me back to DoorDash. But it was the restaurant's, not DoorDash's, error. The restaurant offered to remake the dish, if I would pick it up, entirely defeating the purpose of ordering for delivery, not to mention completely interrupting my schedule for the day. Eventually, they agreed to remake the order and deliver it to me, so I do appreciate that. They told me to give them 30 minutes; it took over an hour. I highly doubt if the cook and the owner even tried tom yum before; if they have then they just did not spend any effort making the dish. It's a crime that a thai restaurant can make such sh1t Tom Yum. It tastes like watery, soy-sauce colour sweet soup. No spice or sour-ness. Do not go. The stuff that my friend ordered was also bad. Straight up not real Thai food. If so, very customised Thai food for sweet tooth. I should've returned that soup. My throat felt weird/burnt after eating that because of how sweet/salty it tasted. I ordered green curry chicken and it was the oddest shade of green - it reminded me of green sherbet. It looked as if the coconut milk had a few drops of green dye added. When I removed a piece of tough chicken from the sauce, there were traces of dark green that clung to the meat. The curry was pretty bland There were a few brown bits of lettuce at the bottom of my salad, which was a little strange since the actual leaves looked fine.
