I went here with my bestie who lives around the corner! We ordered two Thai iced teas with yellow curry, and pad Thai with tofu combo that comes with rice and wontons + egg rolls. The portions are a decent size and the service is amazing! I also ordered take out - pepper chicken combo. Good deals!!!!

The chicken satay was good, but the peanut sauce was a bit disappointing. It was tasteless and wish it was thicker with a more "peanut" taste. On the other hand, the fried rice and pad see ew were tasty. The ratios of meat, rice/noodle, and veggie were perfect. It's very busy here with nonstop takeout orders. The staff are friendly and the food came out pretty quickly.

Thai Red Curry - Shrimp and BBQ Pork Ribs

We ordered red curry with shrimp, BBQ pork ribs, and Thai chicken fried rice to go. I requested the curry to be made spicy, but it still turned out quite sweet, and the fried rice was a bit bland. The flavors overall didn't feel very authentic, especially considering the price (around $70 with tip for takeout). On the positive side, the food was prepared quickly, and service was efficient. With some adjustments to flavor and seasoning, this place could be a lot better.

Pad that and Thai dumplings and a salad.

Amazing food, amazing quick service, nice hostess. A customer came in and she already knew what he wanted (she had remembered). Other than that the food is REALLY GOOD and the price is better during lunch hours (11-4).

What I Ordered: Lunch Menu Pad Thai ($12.95) Food: Westwood Thai Cafe was my favorite Thai spot as a UCLA student. The lunch menu is a great deal, and a good amount of food. You get to choose a main dish from a variety of options and it comes with rice and salad. It has a unique flavor profiles of sweet and hint of sour that you can find in many Thai dishes. Service: Friendly staff and service is usually quick! Ambiance: Indoor seating available! Parking can be a bit tough but you should be able to find spots in the back around the neighborhood.

Wow! We were on our way back from the Getty center and decided to try this spot. Parking was a little tight, and it wasn't busy at 6pm, but we are so glad we stayed! The restaurant is small and clean, with quick waitstaff. The food was fantastic-- rich and savory, with a balanced spice/acidity in the soup. We enjoyed both the Pad See Ew and Tom Yum, and would happily recommend both!

    Thai Style Noodle Soup

I've been ordering from Westwood Thai for several decades. Food has always been consistently delicious. I love the teriyaki chicken, ribs, and soups. Dine in isn't my thing so delivery is my fave.

Friendly service, small dining area. We stopped in during the storm. Soup was tasty, hot, & a great price at $11.50 for the whole pot! My spicy chicken with basil was simply okay. I've had much better elsewhere. My husband's spicy noodles were delicious. I had a bite. Great smoky flavor to the noodles. I'd return when in the area.

This cute thai place has a cozy vibe, definitely a place you should try in the area (Saffron and Rose is almost right next to it)! My friend and I came here wanting to try new thai places in the area and really enjoyed our meal here. The staff sat us down immediately. We both got the tom yum noodle soup, which has such a light but savory broth. It had so many things-- pork, chicken balls, wonton strips, shrimp, and of course, noodles. This dish was very comforting, with the spices in the broth making my nose run, variety within the meats/proteins, and satisfying noodles. It was genuinely so filling and the portion was great, we both had a hefty amount left over that we are excited to have as a second meal. It seems like a lot of people get takeout from here, so the inside was quite empty; would recommend sitting down here for a hearty meal! I want to come again to try the lunch combinations! Pros: Menu had lots of variety for very reasonable prices, and the portion (at least for the soup) was great. Cons: Cannot think of one!

I got there with my mother and was greeted by a very lovely gentleman named Clark. He told us we could sit wherever so we seated ourselves in the outside area. He came over right away with the menus and asked if we had been there before to which we responded had not. He went over the menu with us and answered any questions we had regarding the menu. He was very sociable and friendly. We chatted with him and put in an order for the Kiwi Chowder. I ordered a Modelo and my mother ordered a glass of orange blend wine. He came over with the drinks a while later and the Kiwi chowder and have us plenty of time to sit and enjoy the dish before we ordered our main courses. The kiwi chowder was delicious and came with little crackers. The clams and mussels were so tasty and the Ora King Salmon was a nice treat. After a while he came back and served me the Fisherman's Mixed Basket and my mother got the Fish tacos with fish of the day for them being Sword Fish. The fisherman's basket was amazing and paired perfectly with my beer. I had never had clams, mussels, snapper, and oysters all together and they were so good I wish I could have them more frequently. The place was very cute and sat quietly with good music playing. Not current music but music that really fit the place and set the vibe. I will be coming back here and if you ever go, there is no bad choice for the fish, the service is stupendous and I haven't gotten anything like it in forever, and if you meet Clark enjoy a friendly conversation with him.

Unfortunately, the food isn't anything special. Decent portion sizes, but that doesn't matter much when nothing is very tasty. Really wanted this place to work out, staff are friendly, but the food was a huge letdown.

I mean it was not something we could or would want to eat. We trashed it all the minute we got home--we did not want to be rude so we had them pack what was left, which was most of it and tossed it. The prices are very high for what you get and the food is just a greasy mess. We had high hopes for this place. Oh, and I got sick and had to drive to work/pleasure the next day so that was fun. Parking: They have an adjacent paid parking lot though metered street parking is cheaper since they unfortunately don't validate. Ambiance: Really gorgeous inside, with high arced wooden beam ceilings, natural light through skylights, romantic dim lighting, candles, lots of potted trees for greenery, and velvet seating to add elegance. Even the plates are worth admiring. They have a nice patio with heat lamps for cooler evenings as well. I absolutely love the vibes for date night. I have eaten here four times now and have a reservation ready for my fifth. The menu changes EVERY WEEK and the fact that the ingredients are so seasonal, and the chef really seems to takes pride and passion in creating different dishes so often, keeps me coming back each time. They have done specials from Sunday Night $35 7-course omakase to 50% off Neighborhood Patio nights to $65 for two 4-course date nights and the quality is so worth it. I even came by for an art class hosted on the patio since they hold multiple community events, including sports watch parties. The best yellowtail I've had (including eating in Japan and various sushi spots in LA, OC, SF, and NY) was surprisingly here, at a place I was honestly hesitant to even order sushi from. It's the first time I actually really could taste the flavor as it's more subtle than tuna, salmon, or albacore but they somehow made it incredibly memorable from the freshness. Definitely order the hamachi with pomegranate. I loved the flavor with the ponzu and that it wasn't just the basic jalapeño combo. There was a Singaporean crab garlic butter noodle dish they made once that was incredible though sadly seemed to be on the menu that time only. This was my absolute favorite entree they've offered so far. The gem lettuces Caesar salad is amazing although unfortunately, both times I've ordered it without cheese, they forgot. The boquerones (anchovies) are a gem (ha) that really adds to the salad and I love the texture from the herb crust. Their signature shrimp toast has a good crunch from the sesame seeds and distinct pieces of shrimp rather than mush inside and the ikura on top adds another good layer of flavor. The vegetable curry was rich, flavorful, and savory witbout being too heavy with perfectly cooked potatoes that didn't just hide in the sauce in a way that actually didn't make me miss the meat. The short rib curry had such tender meat and the roti made in house was actually a major highlight for me as it was so flaky, hot, crispy and had an amazing garlic flavor. The chocolate pot de creme had a good orange zest flavor to add to the chocolate and wasn't too rich or heavy though the texture was thicker. The calamari had super crispy batter so didn't associate it as much with a lighter tempura one but the lemons in it and the roasted garlic marinara sauce it came with were so good and added a lot of depth. The butter curry prawns has SUCH well cooked shrimp - flavor was amazing. Miso salmon was good though crispy skin side up would have been better personally. I liked the olive oil flavor in the vinaigrette and the lemon with veggies on the side as well. The tres leches was surprisingly light for a cake and very moist so I enjoyed a lot and the caramel ice cream wasn't overly sweet. The lychee vodka drink is my favorite (came with a drink pairing they offered with Sunday omakase) and the imperial gold yuzu cocktail is better for those who like a stronger drink. The grilled asparagus was cooked to a tenderness with great flavor from the crispy onions on top that have somehow made it among my top favorite dishes here, despite it just being a small side vegetable dish but I didn't like asparagus until this! I would definitely recommend coming here for dinner over brunch personally, as those have been my most memorable bites. Definitely order the yellowtail sashimi, shrimp toast, gem lettuces Caesar salad! Hoping the garlic butter crab noodles, grilled asparagus with crispy onions, and housemade roti reappear on the dinner menu!
