I use to drive a long way to get good Thai food then found Thai Fresh in my own neighborhood. It's wonderful ! Authentic, so flavorful and as their name says FRESH ! The Green Curry was heaven (like I use to eat in Hawaii where I first got my love of Thai food). It's spicy (I'm sure they'll adjust to your heat level) lots of veggies ( I had tofu but you can also have chicken, shrimp ect.. . The Fresh Rolls were perfect with the right pairing of veggies (plus mint! Yum!) I had the shrimp and Tofu rolls.....smoked salmon rolls are next. Good Food Friendly people. This type of hole-in-the-wall is my kind of place. All of there dishes are tasty, ingredients fresh and top quality. The curry's are the creamiest I have tasted. They don't have a deep fryer so no crispy spring rolls only fresh ones. The spicy scale is the Thai scale it took some adjustment to find the right amount of heat. Great place for take away food. That is the reason for only 4 stars. They had two small tables for outside seating only. There is no place to sit but get the food to go and enjoy with your family at home. read more

Eh....it's a really really small spot. Enough space for one person to order inside while everyone else waits in a line formed outside. It's so small I wondered where their refrigeration was located. Can you say... "Me love you long time Thai Fresh!" This is a wonderful hole in the wall that's a little hard to find next to Rubio's. The lady there Kay is so sweet and nice... She made us feel so welcome as if we were visiting our Auntie. The space is basically a really small kitchen where she is able to make my fav spicyliscious food. She said she changes the menu daily (closed Sat). There are no tables inside so takeout is your better option, but there are a couple of tables outside if you can't wait to get home LOL. The Pad Thai was amazing, a little on the sweet side but the noodles were delish and had a nice kick. The Pork Larb (I asked her to make it spicy) was my fav and was a good sized portion and I wanted to drink the spicy lime dressing! Both of the soups, Tom Khar and Tom Yum were flavorful as well. The fresh spring rolls were huge and looked more like a burrito and will fill you up as well. Finally for dessert, the sticky rice with mango was great. Well I hope you guys would refrain from raising your prices too frequently! Yes food is good, admittedly. In fact my family must be one of the first "likers" of your store when it first opened, and the first to give great reviews on Yelp in order "to spread" good news by word-of-mouth. Obviously you already have good amount of patrons, and that's great! We're happy, too! However, it seems each time we visit, prices are raised up. To think that yours is not a restaurant, a small place and mostly food to-go, you already are saving tons of overhead expenses. Meanwhile we, as customers, also endure the LONG WAIT of your food prep, maybe okay, but at least please look after your customers, too... By being considerate and not (much) thinking about rapid price-increases. A give-and-take process. Will appreciate. Thank you! read more

Saw this place when heading to Costco one day and knew I had to give it a try. Couldn't decide on what to get (it all looks so good) so I ordered the larb, chicken rolls, and of course, sticky rice w/mango. Luckily, I called in ahead of time so my order was ready once I got there. A really sweet lady met me once I entered. Total was under $20 but once I got home, I realized it was totally worth it. I inhaled the larb (minced pieces of chicken mixed with lime, cilantro, and spices) but next time I may stick to mild cause the medium had me chugging water. Still, it was dee-lish! My daughter and I shared the mango sticky rice and we murdered the poor thing. The spring rolls are jumungous so I had to save those for later. Needless to say, they tasted as good as they looked! Plus, they throw in peanut sauce and sweet chili sauce for some added flavor. Can't way to drag my poor husband here to try everything else on the menu. read more

This place is very small but the food is amazing!! We have tried the chicken pad Thai, chicken panage curry, drunken noodles and yellow chicken curry and everything was so good. This little place packs a BIG PUNCH! First, it's just order pick up and you can tell when you walk in. Literally what happens in back kitchens will be revealed. I was with my sister and she said it reminded her of New York mom and pop shops. Only a couple tables and chairs outside. Now the food: best Thai iced tea I've ever had! And I love Thai tea, so I order it every chance I get. I found myself saying "It tastes so fresh" multiple times. Guess they named their place perfectly! We had the pad see ew with beef and chicken spring rolls. Again, very fresh and flavorful without feeling greasy. I'd say top two pad see ew ever! Not always compelled to Yelp review but this place definitely gets my 5 star vote. I'll be returning and happy to try the rest of the menu! read more

I had the Pad Thai - it was okay. Based on my one visit I'd say the place might be overrated.

I'm not sure why this place has such good reviews...the service was awful: the lady was rude/short when answering our questions about the menu (and was unable to answer questions such as whether or not some dishes were made with fish paste, common in thai cooking but dependent upon the cook), she kind of scared us lol we were glad the only seating is outside. The food wasn't terrible but it was mediocre at best, lacking in flavor and it seemed like there was little though that went to the ingredients (my tom kah (a coconut based soup) tasted watered down with unprepared chunks of tofu tossed in and a single random whole cherry tomato; my friends dish just looked like a pile of slop). They don't actually have water cups for dining in, just the cups that you use to swish mouthwash in at the dentist. Thanks but I'll stick with Lai Thai. read more

Though I know there may be better as a whole Thai dining experience, I give Thai Fresh 5 Starts bc it's as good as it gets (and then some!) for a drop in/take out Thai food place. They never disappoint! It's not super quick...but then it won't taste like fast food! And it's right there by Costco, so we never seem to leave Costco w/o looking at each other and saying, "Thai Fresh?" I love it, my kids love it, my husband (who loves to doubt...) loves it! The best Thai food in the Chula Vista area. My mother who is Thai and can cook pretty good Thai food, loves this place. The crab fried rice and mango curry are some of my favorites. Oh M Gina, Thai Fresh is so good! Their curries are delicious. I think it's the perfect serving size. They have jumbo spring rolls too. Try the veggie green curry.
