I've had massages all over the world, including Thailand. This massage was the first time in 2 months and I was looking forward to my 90 minute massage. Unfortunately it was one of my worst ones! The store next door was playing loud music when they finally turned it down, an obnoxious lady kept talking and laughing as if they were playing with each other! The masseuse, Leo, enabled her by engaging in the conversation until I finally had to shush them. They continued to whisper loud even after. Leo turned the massage music louder. I asked for a deep tissue and asked 4x to make the pressure harder. Most of massage, I felt like I was paying her to tickle me instead of getting a professional massage for $70. I cut it short by 20 min just to get out if there! I eventually went to my professional massage place in Alhambra just to feel relaxed. What a waste of time and money!! read more

Incredibly unprofessional experience. The massage was ok but the therapist talked for much of the time. She complained about how she didn't like to do this work anymore and then told me a long story about how another customer gave her a bad tip (and told me the amount). This is my go to spot for massage now, which is why I hesitate to write this review. They've made themselves available to my husband and I with little advance notice. Then they hurt you. If you need it. I need to be hurt and the hurting I got from Tony yesterday will leave me sore for days. And I love it. He got business taken care of. He found counter-trigger points that nobody has ever hit before. My body gets like a pain matrix, and he just knew. My guess is a whole lot of education on more than just massage?? The girl I talked to when I made an appointment was very friendly and she said someone available. When I got here I had high hopes based on reviews and prior Thai massages. Well I don't know if there was a specific masseuse I shoulda requested for but the lady I had was no bueno. I liked that she asked if I had aches or pains but did she work on those areas? Nah.. She first started walking on me, fine, but I say about 60 percent of the time she'd just walk on me for more pressure I suppose. When it was time for the oil when I'd sense she found a hard knot she'd work it for a second and just move on, never focusing on a certain points. To top it off she'd say in the middle of the massage your back is tight.. Right? Well... I am laying here..? Michael? came in and tried to start the massage without asking if i had any pain. I came in cause my shoulder/arm was sore and stiff. So i had to stop and tell him that. The massage was not very good and ultimately he didnt put any focus on that should or arm. Kim is amazing! I have searched high and wide for places that give a great massage in this area and have had no luck. My back is usually screwed from physical activity and sitting in an office chair on most days. She never fails in taking her time and actually working on the spots on my back that need the most attention. This is my new favorite massage place. Made a same day appointment for my birthday and they were very accommodating. Upon arriving, I was a little apprehensive since it was his tiny store in the corner and it was very dark when I entered. However, I was greeted by the masseuse who was very nice and friendly. I went for the Combo thai with oil. The massage was perfect! She also kept making sure I was okay every time I tensed up, which I appreciated. Lilan & Jenny were very professional & were able to smooth out all the lumps & bumps after a 4hr drive from Las Vegas. They even wipe you down with warm towels to clean the oil off after massaging. First of all, the parking lot is tiny, only one parking is assigned to this place. I initially asked for a one hour massage and wanted to book Kim as everyone suggested. I was told Kim stopped working there. So I specifically requested to get someone with strong hands. However, the girl assigned to me was not. When asked to be switched to another person, I was told all other workers were booked even though there were no customers at that time. I then asked to change to 30 mins session. My friend, visiting from out of town for the weekend, requested a Sunday girl's day of mani pedi's and massage when she got into town. We found Thai Friendly Massage on Yelp morning of, made reservations for that afternoon and hours later were signed up for 2 90 minute massages plus body scrubs for less than $100. My friend got a "rough" deep tissue and said it was amazing. Mine was "light" (but still a little rough!) and my masseuse was careful to avoid a fresh tattoo during the scrub. Not the swankiest of places by any stretch, no aromatherapy, etc. but pretty clean. I wouldn't have minded a little more pampering, but I felt great afterwards nonetheless. There are plenty of shops like this in LA. This was one of the worst I've visited so far. Massage was a gentle rub and scalp scratching without any sort of technique. Room was not soundproof so you can hear street noise and people talking. What toped it all off was their enforced tip policy, which makes it not a "gratuity" anymore. This pace is close to my house so I thought I'd try it. It's clean and quiet but not too fancy. I had a male masseuse with very strong hands. He seemed to be focusing on pressure points and when he would find a spot of tension would stay there for a while. There were times when it was a bit painful but afterwards I felt great. Be prepared though for the massage to include pressure points on your stomach and groin muscles (not in the happy ending sense but in the omg ouch this area has never been stretched before sense). This is my go to place . This place is a block away from my apartment . I've gotten one bad massage recently of probably 50 . After I had complained about the massage and how upset I was that I just spent $36 for a horrible massage ( I was really upset and said some things I probably shouldn't have ) the manager fixed the problem immediately and gave me and extra half an hour massage to make up for the bad massage I had the visit before .
