When I arrived I couldn't find parking so I called to let them know why I would be running late and the owner moved his car parked in front of the building to give me a spot, which I thought was super dope. The pricing was great. I did 90min for 90 dollars. My only nit picky feedback would be that it was pretty chilly in there. Just got done with my massage. This is my second time here and the first time, my experience was great. This second time around I got James as my therapist. When I first got there the lady at the desk asked what kind of massage I wanted and I said Swedish. She then followed that up with "where would you want him to focus?" I said, full body, I need everything. We then laughed about it and she said okay, you're very tense. Now it's time for the massage to start, he starts off great focusing on my back. As time passes I realize he is still focusing on my back... He also didn't even get close to my glutes or IT band until I stopped him and said, " you know you can also do my glutes and legs." He spoke English so I know the there wasn't any language barrier. He is also young, around my age so I'm not sure if he felt insecure or intimidated but once he got done with doing my legs. He says "massage is done" This entire time I was faced down. Didn't turn me around, didn't do my arms, neck, head, etc. Please don't ask where we would want our therapist to focus if it's not going to be respected. When repeatedly mentioning that it hurts, the missus did not change her approach. As for location, that is something that they should change. The area is very dirty and smelled of urine and feces. Came to Ancient Thai Massage for date night. We got a 90 minute couples massage on Groupon and had an appointment for 4:30pm on a Sunday afternoon. The first thing they do is ask if you need to use the restroom and then confirm the massage that you booked (whether it's a Thai, Swedish, or combo). Then, they'll lead you into a room with 2 massage tables and leave you to undress. For the Swedish massage and combo, you'll need to take everything off except your underwear (top undergarments also need to be taken off for females) and you can hide under the bed sheet that they provide for you. The massage is really relaxing and fun! Some parts were painful, they will literally stand on your back (but ask you if that's ok before doing so). There's hot stones, massage oil, and they do your back for about 75% of the time and your front for about 25%. The majority of your body will be covered during your massage, they'll lift up the bedsheet wherever they're massaging so you'll have maximum coverage. Everyone is super sweet and friendly. There's only 1 bathroom and it's large but dark. The workers here don't speak great english- so keep that in mind and be patient. After your massage, they'll give you water and hard candy. There was plenty of street parking when we went. There's also a 10% off yelp check in deal. A lot of the reviews say that it's overbooked or noisy, but luckily we came when they weren't very busy so it was actually pretty quiet during our massage. read more

We bought a couples massage ticket through Groupon, we made a reservation using phone call, gave them all the coupon number and everything. So they KNEW about our Groupon-ticket. You dont make customers pay extra money for the mistakes that the businesses have made. Secondly, we insisted that this is not fair, and that we will request a full refund. The receptionist tells us to take that up with Groupon saying they have nothing to do with this. So we asked for her name to include their info for our request claim. SHE DELIBERATELY SHAKES HER HEAD AND SAYS SHE WONT GIVE US HER NAME!! Then she calls the OWNER, (his name is JOSE) and we had a phone call with him. Lo and behold, the Owner, Jose, tries to talk us into just paying a few extra dollars and just get the service. He kept saying they wont make money off of it and that Groupon usually make mistakes with their prices. That means they already had MULTIPLE SITUATIONS LIKE THIS before and still didnt do anything about it!! Seriously?! NOT TO MENTION THE COCKROACHES I SAW AT THE RECEPTION COUNTER. I wanted to take pics or video of them crawling around in the back shelf by the wall behind the receotionist but couldnt since she was sitting right there. Dont ever waste your time and money here guys. This is absolutely disgusting and dirty way of marketing. They jack down prices on Groupon and make people pay extra money when they arrive. I went back to show this to the store manager , prior to his arrival the lady receptionist confirmed that eucalyptus should not be applied on face and then the manager arrived ( he introduced his self as Jose) and instead of to be cooperative and helpful to try and find a remedy for their mistake he tells me he's not a doctor and he told me to go to see a dermatologist and this had nothing to do with him or his business!!!!!! Called to make an appt for 7:30pm and the lady requested that I view my Groupon voucher to provide her with the code. She said that way if I don't show up I lose it. She was afraid that I might cancel and they will lose customer. She wouldn't give me an appt if I won't provide it so I had to stop what I was working on to get her the voucher code. Appt confirmed. I arrived at 7:20pm to check in and the guy said the system crashed and he couldn't find me. He started saying that he can offer me a later time or I can schedule for another day. So lame! I drove about 30 minutes here. I ain't going to drive back here again to let the same thing happen again. I guess I get why she was so adamant on getting the code. That way she can check how much I paid for it. I got this way back so it was a lot cheaper compared to the price now. I only paid like $30 or $35 for it because I got a discount. I am pretty sure that they gave my spot away because a customer was not using Groupon. I think you get my point. If they were really sorry and if their system really did crashed, they would have offered like an extra 30 minutes or whatever. All they said was come back another time. Even if they offered a free 30 minutes, I wouldn't have taken it. However, it will show some kind of sincere apology. Anyway, this is bad customer service. Not the right way to treat your customer. This was my first time getting a massage and I loved it. I went with a friend and we got the couples massage. I'm not sure how much it is, but since a friend referred us we got a different price. Our friend told us he paid $90 for a couples and I guess it was more because they said they will honor it and we just pay $95. I can't remember the girl I got but she was very friendly. I read some guys comment were he said it feels like they are pawing your back. It's true. They do that a lot but I honestly thought it felt great. The beds are clean and they put a little flower on the end. Gives it a little touch. The lights are low and they play some very relaxing music. They give you time to take off your clothes and get on the bed. The massage was good. Although sometimes I felt like she was going too hard, not too often, but she just said to let her know when it was too hard. Seriously one of the best massages I've ever had and ive had a good amount in my lifetime. I got the combo massage for two which included the Swedish traditional massage and then a Thai massage where they stretched me out and put me in all different positions. I love it! Walked out feel amazing. I usually had back and neck pain due to my profession and I left without any pain. Went for a couples massage and while my partner had a great massage with his masseuse, all I got was rubbed down by oil. There was no aromatherapy as advertised. The oil even made me break out the next day and I am not acne prone. When my masseuse walked in, she didn't ask me what I wanted. Just said hi. When she started, I asked my masseuse to massage harder and she looked confused and waited for the other masseuse to translate. As an ESL person myself, I felt for her but it did make it impossible for me to ask for what I wanted and just left me feeling irritated and tense the entire massage. Usually these massages are quite and chill but they chatted the entire time, like my partner's masseuse was talking mine through the process. So I'm pretty sure I got a trainee. If that's the case, I think the entire experience was even more of a ripoff and that should have been disclosed. Every time she reached a knot or a kink, she just stopped working on it. I felt like she was winging it the whole time and just rubbing my skin, rather than actually massaging the muscles. I just moved to the area and I was hoping to find a place I can go to regularly. My person massaged me over the blanket for about 30 minutes and then I had to ask her to use some oil or lotion to massage me. I found myself wanting to come in early so I called and asked if I could come in at 1:30 instead of 2. She said no problem. I am a professional driver so I drive for 8 hours a day. You have pains in parts of your body you didn't know exist start to hurt. I did the one hour combo massage with Nancy. She was absolutely incredible!
