    46. Pad Kao Pod with tofu

I was in the mood for Thai but wanted to try something besides my usual Pad Se Ew or Pad Thai. I ordered the Pod Kai Pod (#46 on the menu) and it was SO good!! The customer service is great and the food was made fresh to order. Not to mention, the portion size was huge! So yummy and can't wait to come back to try something new.

It's limited parking right in front of restaurant, Food~Appetizers are delicious, piping hot, literally waited 5-7 mins to arrive fresh! Service-The waitress is absolute amazing funny and so very sweet. We asked for a pitcher of ice water she bought the pitcher w/ ice and no water. She says "anything else?!" We said yes the water! We laughed for a least 5 mins Main Course- Crab Fried Rice is absolutely amazing, flavorful, and piping hot once again! Ambience-Mom and Pops, plenty of seating, music playing softly in the background. I would highly recommend this restaurant!

I've ordered from this Thai restaurant four times. Their portions are large (28oz on the pad Thai container) but the prices kind of reflect that. Today I ordered the pad Thai. The pad Thai wasn't the best but it kept well- I came back and updated, it was holding up pretty well a day later. However, the toppings are sparse, it's just beansprouts and green onion with a single lime wedge no peanuts and no cilantro. The noodles are rubbery, the chicken tastes like it is both under and over cooked, the flavor of the pad Thai is giving tomato somehow although there isn't much sauce on this at all, yet it's greasy. It's actually pretty dry otherwise. I recommend not ordering their pad Thai but the lemongrass chicken is good and so is the peanut sauce curry which is why I am rating three stars.

I live in the area and have always wanted to get take out here. Excellent service at the take out window, very personable. There's always so much I want to order but seeing it was a solo night and my dog already ate, I went with curry chicken and veggie pad Thai noodles. #53 #20 respectively Creamy yellow sauce and plenty of scrumptious pad noodles. I use the white rice to buffer the yellow sauce so it doesn't migrate into the noodles. It's a must for taste bud divisions. You really need to try this spot out. I'll be back. Cheers.

Love their Noodle Soup (#32 I think) It's like if yellow curry had a Pho soup baby with noodles instead of rice. Really good. :)

Easily the best Thai BBQ I've had! Each part of the meal pairs perfectly well with each other and…read moreis packed with immense flavor. Khao Moo Dang Pi-Set (5/5): Upgrading to the Pi-Set is worth the extra $3, which comes with all the standard options plus extra eggs, juicy dumplings, tender yu choy, and a side of bone broth. The five-spice pork is super tender and tastes very similar to char siu. The pork belly had a great crunch and was perfectly salty, which contrasted well with the sweet Chinese sausage. The dumplings are really juicy and justify the upgrade on its own, in addition to complementing the side of bone broth. Everything ties together when coated in their signature Khao Moo Dang sauce, which rounds out the rich meats with the perfect amount of sweetness. Logistics Tip: Takeout packaging holds up well, keeping the crispy pork belly from getting soggy on the ride home while ensuring the broth stays piping hot. Upgrading to the Pi-Set version further improves an already generous meal into an expansive dish that can easily satisfy a huge appetite.

How do I know about this restaurant?…read more For a very brief period of time, I decided to DoorDash... on a bicycle. It was very brief, due to the fact that Portland's hills are... well, I'm in a good shape, but I won't be in the Tour De France. A side benefit is that I learned where a lot of good food in Portland resides: Thai Peacock and Little Peacock made up a fair amount of my orders. How much do I like Thai? So much that I learned to make it myself, and I make a better than average Pad See Ew/Kee Mao... So when it came time for a lunch break, well, I couldn't wait to order from Thai Peacock. I got the Pad Ka Phrao (there was not an option for super hot / Thai hot... my one complaint about their system... more on that in a minute)... and started walking. It was easy to pick up, well labeled, and hot when I arrived. The reusable bowl (for the paper bag crowd who are taking notes.. this is Portland ya know)... was full of delicious meat and vegetables. The rice was packed separately, along with the single serving of added sriracha. The serving was more than generous, and good in its preparation. There are some caveats here: Thai Peacock does not make their dishes in the same way that many other Thai restaurants do... they do it with minimal ingredients, hoping you'll add on vegetables. It gets annoying when you're looking at ordering pad se ew, and you might otherwise get a similar dish for $7-$10 cheaper. The lack of an ability to add additional heat is also unwelcome. However, I understand that each Thai restaurant has its own way of making a specific dish. The generous portions make the bare bones dish a good value, if not the best representation of the dish I've had. This would be 5* for a group meal (no shortage of options, and consistent service), and 4* based on comparison to other Thai dishes at similar price points I've had. 5* here based on what most people would likely say. An extremely reliable restaurant with tasty food and generous portions deserves it.
