My fried rice was okay but it was really lacking flavor. My sister in law's pad Thai was pretty bland too. This is my favorite Thai place in San Antonio. Their Pad Thai is spot on and customer service is amazing. I order from here so much they know me by name at this point, and their number is saved in my phone. An average thai restaurant. Charged me a 1$ per egg for the extra egg fried rice that i ordered. I heard it would be an extra $. My bad. I asked to pop in 4 eggs each. Placed Yelp order and they never delivered. Called restaurant and the lady was very rude. She said, "we very busy". I told her, the least you could have done is cancel my order, instead of us waiting for dinner, which never arrived. She said for me to contact Yelp. Poor customer service! As far as Thai food goes on the NW side of town, this is one of my favorites! While the location and decor may not be the best, don't let that fool you... their food is actually really good. My hubby and I have come here several times. I usually get their Pad Thai or Pad Khing, which are both delicious. My hubby is also a big fan of their Masaman Curry. Their cheese rolls and bubble teas are also great! They also have really good lunch specials! I was feeling a little under the weather today and really craving some tom yum goong soup like I used to eat in Thailand to help me feel better. I have to say that it was the most authentic tom yum that I've had anywhere in the states to date. I lived in Thailand for 3 years so I know what good tom yum is. My husband and i came here craving great thai food. We used to go to this other place that we loved but it got shut down. However after today i would have to say this is my new favorite thai place. We started off with the combination platter, which was very good. My husband and i loved the spring rolls the best. They were fresh, chrunchy, and filled with flavor. Then for the actual meal we got Pad Thai combination beef and chicken with a hot level. Of 7. It was served with crumbled peanuts they weren't chunky or peanut powder ;) They gave us very fresh bean sprouts that were crisp and added a wonderful flavor to the pad thai. The Thai food here is fantastic! Their tom yum gai was the best. My girlfriend had the pineapple fried rice and said it was amazing as well. The only warning we have is that their definition of spicy is pretty warm. She asked for a four and it had her nose running. All in all, this place instantly became our favorite. They are doing Thai right at Thai Hot. The curries are fantastic, and their creativity with standard Thai dishes impressive. Have only eaten in once, but usually get ours to go. Try the sticky rice! Just plain sticky rice. Lot's of places only carry this for the cooks and employees. Takes 6-8 hours to prepare, so Thai places either have it, or they don't. read more

Great food! The Pad Khing was excellent! The Tom Yum soup (Wednesday's soup of the day) was really good - makes me want to make Thai Hot my Wednesday habit. I like to try new places and the reviews were good, so I went there with a friend. I was quite skeptical when I pulled up to an old strip center. Walking in didn't ease my mind, either. If you're looking for atmosphere, you won't find it here. However, it was very clean. If great food is what you want, though, this is the place for you! Plus, I ordered the Pad Khing lunch special which came with soup, an egg roll, and fried rice, and walked out only having paid $8.54 with tip! This place is one of those hit and miss joints that irks me because they are missing a 4 or 5 star rating by simply being lazy. My first gripe is that some days they do deliveries and some days they don't, it depends if they have a driver or not. If you are going to own a business and say you do delivery I expect you to honor your word. My second issue is when I did go in and dine inside the restaurant it took 20mins for a drink refill and the server was never at the front, I know I might sound needy but there was only myself and two other people there so it's not like they were getting slammed. The Thai food here is not my all-time favorite, but it is the best I've had in San Antonio. Delicious Massaman Curry! The Pad Thai is also very good, though it seems to be missing some of the flavor that I experience when I order from my favorite Thai places. My wife and I ordered pickup since we had gotten home late and did not want to cook. The food was ready quickly. We ordered the Pad See Ew, Green Curry, and a bowl of Egg Drop Soup. The food was still hot when it got to our apartment, and they kindly packed plastic-ware and napkins. The Pad See Ew had a good rich flavor, and the beef was cooked quite tender. The Green Curry was very sweet, and needed to be a bit spicier to balance that out. We ordered it medium, but would go hot next time. The jasmine rice that came with it was quite flavorful, and was a nice addition. The Egg Drop soup was quite different than others we had had before. The garlic elements were toned down and replaced with large tastes of cilantro. It was very herby and savory. Very delicious over all, we will be back! read more

My father and I had lunch here and we're both impressed with the service and cleanliness of the restaurant. The food was good but what made us take special notice was that the staff was attentive to our comfort. The room was too cold so they adjusted the temperature. The food came in a timely manner and the server checked on us from time to time making sure we were enjoying our meal. I was the first customer of the day, the credit/ debit card machine is not working something about the connection, so I had to grab some cash. Ordered the red curry with chicken and the Thai tea. The Thai tea is great, the curry not so much. The chicken taste awfully off for some reason, it's quite chewy, the rice is not even on a plate but a tiny little bowl, I actually ordered an extra rice, it's about $2.50ish, quite expensive for a small portion of rice if you ask me. Anyway, I didn't even finished my second rice and just used the curry sauce and not so much the meat. Afterwards my stomach feels weird like I'm gonna be sick weird, and it did made me sick. It was alright at best. I don't know how to say it better than that. They say the deliver, they dont...I asked for it spicy, it wasn't spicy...It was completely edible and not bad to eat but I did bring it home, add some more of my own ingredients to make it better.
