The lunch special included a main entrée, a side of rice (steamed or fried) and a side of either Egg Drop Soup or salad. I ordered Pad Thai Chicken with Fried Rice and Egg Drop Soup. So yeah, it was enough lunch for today AND tomorrow, and a great price! The server was helpful and attentive: refilled my soda before I thought to ask, and brought me a take-home container with my bill. When ordering, I was asked what spice level I wanted: 1 through 5. I went with 2 and it was perfect for me because I like some flavor but not all the heat! Now that I know this great little Thai restaurant is there, I'll be going back. Thai house is great. We got it to go on Fathers Day and it was a great choice. It is a different flavor profile then what we are used to, but it was still very delicious. The portions are huge and the staff is very friendly. The egg rolls were out of this world. There seem to be many Thai restaurants popping up everywhere, but they are not created equally. This place is worth checking out. Also, be patient. It is hard to find good help and some of these owner operated restraints may take longer than normal. This spot was very small and quaint. I ordered the larb which was pretty decent, I went with medium spice but I could've definitely gone way spicier because it wasn't spicy at all to me. It was also a lot of red onion and not as much meat. I would definitely give it another chance and try some of the classic noodle dishes. read more

The food itself was decent. I believe it was good for the price point. My only frustration is that I was in the restaurant for almost two hours before receiving my food. I came in a party of five and it was a busier night. Everyone at my table received their food (a little bit of a wait, but to be expected) and mine never did. Once we were able to grab our waiter's attention, he quickly resolved the issue and I was offered a Thai iced tea as an apology. Loved it and it was a huge portion but it was a very rich dish with the coconut milk. That's not bad at all just be aware. We will def be back!! I'm on a quest to find the best Thai food in East Valley... this is not it. I got an order of pad Thai and Penang curry for take out, to shelter down and socially distance myself during these crazy COVID-19 times. As for the Penang curry, it was actually really good. I'd give it 4/5. The portion was really good sized and it had really good flavor. If it were just for the Penang, I'd come back for sure. But then I got around to the pad Thai and things quickly took a turn for the worse... I actually hate to admit this, because I pride myself in not being a wasteful person, but I straight up threw it into the garbage can, where it belonged. It was without question the worst pad Thai I've ever had. It tasted like actual dog food. But I actually question whether a dog would even eat that. I took about 5 bites, hoping that with every bite it would come around on me, but it certainly did not. Imagine a pad thai, minus the flavor, then leave it out in a car for 4 days. I live 20 minutes away so I tried calling in my order in hopes of it being ready when I got there. Called 3 times and no answer so I took the risk of them being possibly closed. I arrive and and they were open. I go inside and waited 10 minutes to be helped, mind you the phone rang about 4 times. I finally get helped and was told it would be 15 minutes which sucked because if they would have answered I wouldn't have had to wait. Not one time did they answer the phone. Thai House is to Mesa as Curry Zen is to Las Vegas for us - our default eatery! We come here when we need a break from meal prep and home cooking. Portions are huge and leftovers always last us at least 2 more meals so you could say we really get a bang for our buck. We first discovered this restaurant while apartment hunting in the area during the summer of last year and were enamored by the place's simple, hole-in-the-wall feel. There's just something about low-key, friendly neighborhood restaurants that don't feel the need to glamorize their space. What DO we get from that? Most of the time, it means they're authentic and serve good food. Boom, that's Thai House. Since we moved here last summer, we have frequented the restaurant a lot and along the way, gotten to know their servers better. They are always pleasant and make an effort to build rapport with their customers - so much so that by now, we could come in and they'll have an idea about what we plan to order! Probably the most important part of this review for many - the food. We absolutely love it! Our usual orders are Gang-ka-ree (yellow thai curry with carrots, onions and potatoes) and Spicy Eggplant, each of which cost less than $10, come in large portions and consistently make our taste buds happy. Customers can choose the meat they want added in (including tofu) and their preferred spice levels. We usually stick to level 1 and it comes with just the right amount of kick! The orders come with rice and we always leave with leftovers. Other favorites are Mus-sa-mun (a milder, if less yellow, variant to Gang-ka-ree with added peanuts that goes well with chicken), Sweet and sour chicken and Chicken satay. Over the last couple of months, this location has undergone some remodeling and renovation, coming out of it now with way more space and hopefully, more tables and chairs to accommodate their growing clientele. We see ourselves coming back here for as long as we live in Arizona and it definitely helps that they're open later (9pm) for those long work/school days! read more

I loved this place until... I have ordered and eaten there for a couple of years now. They have ALWAYS been great with my food allergies until tonight. I am highly allergic to bell pepper and I ordered my usual, pad won sen to go. I told them no bell pepper in original phone call, then called back to make sure. I came home and was eating it when I started feeling ill. I checked the meal and it had bell pepper! I called the restaurant and who ever answered said that they had already cooked it and they pulled the bell pepper out for my order. Who puts bell pepper in Pad wan sen? At first we loved this place. The older lady would worked there was fantastic but over the past year the food quality has gone down significantly while there prices have significantly gone up. We ordered tonight as we usually do and we ordered what I ALWAYS get because of my food allergies. I know that over the past few years this is a safe dish for me to eat at Thai House. I pick up the meals take it home and it is covered in bell pepper. I checked the menu and bell pepper is not even listed as part of the ingredients for the dish.
