We ordered the Deluxe Dinner for Two, and we were honestly impressed with how much food was included for the price. It came with wonton soup, crab puffs, beef skewers, fried shrimp, Mongolian beef, honey spicy shrimp and chicken, and fried rice. Everything was hot, fresh, and packaged well for takeout. The Mongolian beef was tender and flavorful, the honey spicy shrimp and chicken had a delicious sweet-and-spicy kick, and all of the appetizers were crispy and tasty. The portions were generous--we had plenty left over for another meal! Even though we ordered takeout, the food was ready on time, and the staff was friendly and efficient when we picked it up. The food is amazing. Best Chinese food in Gilbert Arizona. The service is very attentive and on point. The attention to detail is also very nice and the remodel is extremely well decorated and clean. The shrimp fried rice, kung pao tofu, walnut shrimp were are all extremely delicious. They have the best Egg-fu young in town. My father had always told me this place was the best and I finally tried it, I definitely agree! They don't cook with MSG so everything is clean tasting and leaves you with a lot of great energy. This restaurant has a poor idea of what spring rolls are (they should be all vegetables no meat). They are loaded with multiple meats. Also, when you order their meals, they say they are served with steam rice but then they charge you extra for what they already serve with it. We didn't get anything extra with it but was charged extra for what it already came with. See attached pictures. Also, if they perceive you as fat, they will sit you at a table. Thinking that you can't fit in a booth, and then when you do asked to sit in the booth and you fit they start saying really bad things about you in their language. My most recent trip to Dragon Wok was excellent. Went in and placed an order to go, lady at the front was super nice and helpful. It only took about 10 minutes to get the food and it was absolutely delicious. The breading on the orange chicken was amazing and the shrimp fried rice was very flavorful! I ended up getting three meals out of this order which is outstanding. I see reviews that say the customer service is not great but from my experience those couldn't more wrong. read more

Such a beautiful place. We were seated promptly by the owner Sam a really nice guy who told us a bit of his story the place was packed so service was a bit slow but it was okay. The potstickers were delicious. We went big fans of the egg rolls (some liked them some didn't, I think it was the chicken that turned my husband off) The lo mein was delicious The walnut shrimp was great The egg fu young was wonderful. We were looking for a Chinese restaurant with good ambience and good food where we could take our friends for their anniversary. My wife stopped by Dragon Wok, took a look, and chatted briefly with the owner. As it happened our dinner had to be rescheduled, so we went on our own, and it was terrific! We had hot and sour soup and walnut shrimp, two of our favorite dishes. We have high standards for both of those, and our expectations were met or even exceeded. The food quality is excellent, the place is comfortable, open, and has a low noise level. Table conversations can be held in normal voices! (I'm sure that is helped by the decor. It includes hanging umbrellas which absorb rather than reflect sound.) The service was great, and the owner stopped by all the tables to check in on the guests. He chatted with us for several minutes, which we definitely enjoyed. This is a "fine dining" restaurant, and everything from the cloth napkins to the quality of the food to the pricing speaks to that. It was worth every penny. When we can get that anniversary dinner rearranged, we won't need to explore. We'll go right back to Dragon Wok! read more

Went to Dragon Wok with my father on New Year's Eve at his request. The place was clean and the staff was very good. However, you will not get what you pay for here. Everything is extremely overpriced. I hate it when restaurants are so cheep with items for customers, then totally overcharging them at the same time. Not cool. First you will notice that almost NOTHING is under $10. Just the drinks. And even the drinks almost come to $5 a pop. Even plain hot tea. A Chinese cheep staple. I got one hot pot of water and ONE (1) measly teabag. Other places shove 3 to 4 bags or more in a giant pot. Not here. You get ONE (1) cheep generic tea bag in your huge pot of water. $5. I had to wait for my one tea bag to seep to make tea for so long the water got cold. Husband got a Diet Pepsi in a medium sized glass. Next my husband and I ordered 3 total appetizers, one soup and one entree. I got the crab puffs. It said CRAB puffs. What I got were FOUR (4), just four small, bland, tasteless cream cheese blocks (no crab, imitation crab nor crab flavoring - not even green onions or anything else added) wrapped in small wonton wrappings and deep fried. $11. Most other places give you double that for a few bucks less. Not here. My poor husband got the variety appetizer set (5 whole items) for $15. All items were really tiny and flavorless. Except the skewered beef. The two bites of that super paper thin slice were good. My $10 Hot and Sour soup came in a small bowl. It was pretty good. It had two shrimp in it which was a surprise. I had to order it without the peas and carrots. But then I found out they add peas and carrots to EVERYTHING else. My 4 little lettuce wraps for a whooping $18 had peas and carrots. A LOT of them. They use them as a filler. Once I picked most of it out I only had enough filling for two lettuce cups. So they pad the dishes with cheep filler as much as they could. Other family members got other dishes and they were full of peas and carrots. Not the sesame chicken my husband ordered. No peas and carrots in that one. However, the breeding outdid the chicken pieces. Heavily breaded. About ten oversized breaded pieces for around $20. Flavors were standard at best. It was more bread than chicken. Nothing to overcharge like this. To sum up, for two drinks, three appetizers of minimal quantity, one soup and one entree, plus tip, we dropped a little over $100. Flavors were ok to standard, if you were lucky enough to get any flavors. Our usual place we like to go to has much better quality of food, normal quantities and real hot tea for half that price. If you want to spend a lot of your money for minimum value go here. Send the owner's kids to collage or pay for trips to the casinos or help him get a vacation house. If not skip it and go somewhere else. read more
