This is my favorite place to eat! Today I took takeout for lunch. I got Thai House lunch special teriyaki chicken bowl. It was the worst chicken I've ever had. It was chewy burnt. really it tasted like it had been reheated two or three times in the microwave. I do not recommend this ever. Been coming to this place for years but never again due to FOOD POISONING. My wife and I both got separate entrees, and the only thing we shared was the papaya salad. The salad smelled a bit off, but I know that Asian foods sometimes smell different due to fish sauces and such. That night we both felt unwell. The next day we both puked our guts out and what did we find? Half digest papaya salad. I can't say I'm ever coming to this restaurant again if they can't abide by standards to keep their salads from going bad. I'll also be reporting this restaurant to the health board. read more

And let's not forget the pad Thai with chicken, which is basically a comforting hug disguised as noodles. Pro tip: Pair either with a Thai iced tea, because life's too short to drink boring beverages. When I do get the chance to sit down and savor the experience (yes, it happens occasionally), the outdoor seating is my preference. I ordered a Thai tea, pad see ew chicken, and drunken noodles with chicken and Thai spicy. My drunken noodles were flavorful and had a good char-flavor. The Thai spicy was actually spicy and had me sweating, but it was soo good. Their spicy level isn't just adding more chili to the dish, but it also added flavor! Restaurant was clean and tidy. Fair prices with great portion sizes. Parking was small though. I would love to come back to try their other dishes and a Thai-inspired cocktail! Update: came back again and it did not disappoint!! Solid mango sticky rice. Rice was a little sweet for my taste but was not extremely gelatinous so that was a plus. Mangos were really sweet, tender, and fresh. Also got the Redlands noodles. They were decent. Wanted a little stronger soy flavor but it was great and serving sizes were great. read more

K so, we came here about 6 pm on a Friday or Saturday (can't remember) and almost left because parking is a nightmare...my husband dropped me off so I could see long the wait was while he circled. To my surprise , they told me the wait would be 10-15 minutes, tops. So we decided to stay and true to their word we were soon seated. We had the crab Rangoon's, yellow chicken curry, Tom Kha soup and drunken noodles. Washed down with a pitcher of 805. I'd love to sit at the bar next time but to be honest you can't go wrong anywhere. The service was outstanding and the food was fabulous. I placed a curbside order and called to request utensils and hot sauce. The woman who answered located my order and asked how many hot sauces I wanted. I said four. She replied, "Sorry, your order only gets two max." I don't understand why she even asked if she already knew the limit. In the end, I only received one hot sauce. She gave me what she wanted, not what I requested. The food was bland. I've had it before, but this time it tasted completely off. I ended up throwing it away. One of the first restaurants I ever tried in Redlands was the THAI HOUSE. Based upon how busy it was and the ample dining areas, I sensed you simply couldn't go wrong. But it was only okay. That was six years ago, three before I moved to Redlands. During that time I found better Thai spots. Yet I was recently driving by THAI HOUSE with my partner in crime and felt maybe we ordered wrong somehow. How could it possibly be this busy if it was just bland Thai food. We ordered 3 new dishes. Sadly, nothing had changed in six years. Everything was on the plate but nothing special happened, like following basic recipes instead of inspired cooking. Everyone in the place was eating their food with dull looks on their faces. Nobody was looking all 'yum' or trying each other's plates. I believe Redlands has a 'small town tradition' problem. If a place has been there a while -- then it must be good. "We go where everyone goes" instead of "Is there noticeably better Thai in town?" There is. THAI SPOON CAFE for more casual, MU for more formal dining. This is why Yelp exists. Critical foodies helping you find the food you should be eating. I forgot to say the drink menu is very reasonable and tasty. There's a Tiki Bar air about the offerings. And the service is excellent. But again, I know the difference between a waiter 'dropping off' your food vs. 'can't wait for you to try this' in their eyes. read more

Our waitress was wonderful. We were the only ones who were sitting outside and she didn't seem to mind. She was very attentive. The music was very loud and she turned it off upon our request. This place has been here awhile and it showed. The indoor seating was dated. The decor was on point with Thai theme. My mother in law got the lunch special of chicken fried noodles which came with soup and fried rice. I appreciate that they had lunch specials on weekends. I got the Khao Soi. I was very disappointed in this dish. I've had it before and the best is at Manaao in Tustin. This one was lacking in soup. The bowl was small for the price. I would not get it again. Someone gave me a gift card and told me told me this was the best Thai food is served here. Every time I drive by the parking lot is nearly full. I ordered the spicy eggplant (requested zero spice level because I'm a chicken), tempura vegetables, and a Thai iced tea with boba. The eggplant came with a side of rice. I've been coming here since college and it's always a must when I visit Redlands. I got the drunken noodles this time and they were absolutely delicious. I also had a Thai tea that was rich in tea flavor yet sweet. We got the order for pickup, and both the phone and in-person service were smooth and quick. First let me warn you to get there before or after the lunch crowd because their parking lot is tiny and if you get there during their peak hours you will be sitting in the parking lot waiting for someone to leave so you can get their parking spot. Annoying but the food makes up for it The front entrance is welcoming. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door and was seated immediately. I got there at 12 noon on the dot. Server came to our table soon after we were seated to take our drink order. We received our drinks (teas) quickly and our order was taken. I got the glass noodles. It comes with chicken and shrimp but I asked for shrimp only. My co-worker got the drunken noodles and we shared the eggplant. The food came out in a timely manner. It was still steamy when it was brought out. Meals are a generous amount for the price. Both my co-worker and I had leftovers. The meals were very flavorful, my shrimp was fresh and not overcooked. Noodles cooked perfectly and not stuck together. Eggplant came with a side of rice. Everything was delicious. The other thing I would note is that they do not have the condiments (like the chili sauce and chili's) on the table. You have to ask for chili sauce and if more than one person wants some sauce be sure to ask for how many you want because they will come to the table with only one lol. Like I said we didn't finish our meals so they brought us nice to-go containers with a bag. If you're in the area and like Thai food i recommend you giving this spot a try read more

Listen! I've got a whole addiction to the Basil Fried Rice here at Thai House! I only discovered this restaurant a month ago and I've been here three times. The first time I ordered the Drunken Noodles and Pineapple Fried Rice. But when I came back the second time with the hubby, it was the Basil Fried Rice that has me up at 3 am craving and dreaming of rice. I don't even like rice like that!!! I mean who dreams about rice? Me, I do... I think I need therapy or something at this point! But look, go down there and get you some Basil Fried Rice and Drunken Noodles and treat yourself to any of the meat entrees like Lemon Chicken or Mongolian Beef or my fav, the Garlic Pepper Shrimp.
