This is my favorite restaurant in Redding! The food is fresh, the service amazing, and the environment great. The staff are super friendly and helpful if you are new to the Thai menu, or a seasoned veteran. My favorite dishes are the beef pho, sweet and sour chicken wings, house fried rice, red curry and vegetable shrimp tempura. Seating is limited and you might have to wait, but it is definitely worth it. Come support this local business and enjoy your meal! read more

Best drunken noodles (pad kee mao) in town! But beware the Thai spicy level when they ask you how spicy you want. My husband loves spicy stuff (he's from Taiwan) and he was sweating and crying. Of course he ate it all anyway because it's still so good, but maybe don't go for Thai spicy unless you're really brave! read more

My wife and I really like Thai Hut. It's smallish and fills up for lunch and dinner but if you time it right and get a table the food is excellent. Service is typically pretty quick and tables open regularly if you get there and they are full. On good weather days they also have patio seating. I had the pad thai during this visit, and my mom had an eggplant dish. I didn't try hers but she said it was very good. As I said this is one of my go to spots. read more

We tried this place and was disappointed especially after all the reviews. On a road trip North so we got our food today: drunken noddle with beef and pineapple mango fried rice. My husband (who is not Asian and I don't feel have the refined distinction) saying it doesn't taste like Thai. The drunken noddle flavors reminded him of ramen and the fried rice with curry smelled like hot dogs. :( May theyneeds more basil. I have to agreed with him that the food was pretty generic Asian and have no distinct Thai flavor. Also I had to ask for plastic utensils and was only given one small plastic fork and small plastic spoon. This wouldn't have normally bothered me if we weren't travel. Not sure I will come back and try this place again even if I was in the area. Maybe they were having an off day since it's NYE but definitely not as good as I thought it would be after all the raves reviews. This is the first time I ever given a two stars. read more

If you think your coming to get some good food your wrong, first off the service sucks and took me literally 50min to get my noodle soup. I came in at 6:30 and didn't get my food until 7:21 and the girl who came and serviced me had this bitch face like I caused it to come out late. Smh and then when I got the noodle soup it was warm not even hot and it taste horrible. Took 2 bites and left. Would honestly not recommend this place. This is my absolute favorite Thai restaurant in town. They always use tons of fresh vegetables which are cooked perfectly. I'm a vegetarian so I can't vouch for the meat dishes, but I can't imagine they are anything less than delicious. The customer service is excellent too. Even if it's been a while, they always remember me & my usual order. If there is a little longer wait, they tell you up front to make sure that's okay. I always go with the cashew nut with tofu, but I've also enjoyed the drunken noodles & basil fried rice. I came on a business trip and we happened to pass by Redding, after looking up suggestions for good places to eat we stumbled upon the Thai Hut. As we walked into the establishment you can smell the exotic aromas of the thai food being prepared. Right away I knew this place was going to be good! I had ordered a Calamari appetizer and the Spicy Panang Curry. Calamari can be very hard to cook, but these guys did it right! It was flavorful and not rubbery. I was impressed. But this is kind of where my single complaint lies, there is not enough help in the dining room. There was two wonderful waitresses but the place was packed and they were all over the place. Because of this there was a few things they missed, such as dining utensils. So I ate the calamari by hand, which was worth it. They did end up bringing utensils after we were able to flag a waitress down. Eventually the curry came out. Now this was the star of the night! I could taste the creaminess of the coconut milk as well as the tanginess of the lemongrass. The beef was cooked on point and the vegetables complimented the exotic flavors. Would I go here again? YES One thing I would suggest is more waiter helpi or even a busboy. To help distribute the load because it did take a little time to get us taken care of. I ate at the Thai Hit on Friday, 3/22/19 and was amazed by how good the food was and how great the service was. I went there at lunch and apparently I wasn't the only person wanting great Thai food. The place was packed and I had to wait quite a while to get a table. The waitresses did a great job getting everything done as quick as they could though. After getting seated, I ordered and the food was brought out quickly. I had a lunch special and it included a small salad, rice, egg roll and the main course. The food was awesome. I ordered it medium and was sure glad that I didn't get it spicy. Their medium had me sweating. Had a delicious lunch there today. First I must say that their customer service if phenomenal. Those ladies work their tails off to ensure every table is being serviced all the time. It was lunch hour so obviously they were very busy but they didn't skip a beat. The food was amazing, just the right spice for us and plenty of it. The best part was we inquired about why they are closed on Sundays? Their answer was they all are family, the chef is one of the sisters and she has kids!!! I thought that was awesome. Super slow service. Called in an order and was told to show up 10-15 mins later and when I came in @15ish-20 mins later, food was not ready. Had to wait an additional 15 minutes. Food came out and wasn't very hot, it was bland. Very disappointed. I've heard that their service was slow but didn't realize how slow. Thai Hut. Hands down: the best Thai food in Redding in my opinion! I recommend their yellow curry: it is absolutely scrumptious. Their prices are about a dollar more than Champa Garden, but their portion sizes are bigger which makes up for the increase in $$$. Called in an order to go on our way back from the lake the other day. I got the red curry with sticky rice and my boyfriend had the drunken noodles. My curry was definitely packed with some heat! Which I enjoyed considering a lot of places lack in spice or flavoring. There was nothing wrong with the drunken noodles--too many mushrooms for his taste but it was good overall. When you're on a road trip it's really hard to find good food on the fly, and boy are we so grateful for Yelp and Thai Hut. My wife being half Thai, impressing her is not easy, but this place had some really delicious and authentic food. The price was reasonable and we ate more than we should have trying to extend the delicious flavor happening in our mouths. We stopped here on a holiday (4th of July) because all the Thai places in Chico were closed. I'm so glad that we did! Although they were very busy & there was line, we were seated quite quickly as there was only two of us. The service was great & everyone was friendly. The pan-fried chicken wings were perfectly seasoned & finger-licking delicious! My chicken laab was mouth watering, spicy & so tasty. My sweetie 's drunken noodles with chicken was very good too.
