Stopped here on a work trip; loved! As soon as we pulled in the parking lot, I could see the place was packed. Good sign. Walked in and it smelled amazing:). Even though it was crowded we only had to wait about three minutes to be seated. I ordered the tofu pad Thai and asked for added veggies. My request was accommodated perfectly! My dish arrived with broccoli, carrots, red and green bell peppers, and I wasn't even charged extra! My friends enjoyed seafood pho, fried rice, and chicken wings. All delish! We shared the fried banana and coconut ice cream dessert. Exquisite!! The service was wonderful! The bathroom was clean! A new fave in Redding! Will def be back!!! read more

Delicious food served quickly. Menu has something for everyone. My younger kids like the sweet and sour chicken. My teen the boba tea and all the meat options. I enjoy trying a new meal each time. Wow! Rarely do I give a Thai restaurant 5 stars. This one deserves it! Salad dressing was unique, and quite good. Beef Larb was different, but outstanding. Ginger beef had a lot of fresh ginger strings in it and was wonderful. Curry was absolutely perfect. Next time I drive down I5, I'll make sure I stop in Redding for lunch at Thai Hut. Delicious. I've never seen this place without a crowd, which shows it is a great local spot. It would be a 5-Star review if there was more seating. I understand they can't do much to fix that, but it does affect the experience. We've driven by to eat and went elsewhere because they were full. If it wasn't raining and cold, we would have been fine waiting outside. Overall the food was excellent, and I highly recommend stopping by if you haven't. read more

Did not disappoint! These stars are well deserved. Flavor, service, and spice! Had Yor Chuin appetizer, beef Laab, red curry W/ seafood, spicy basil fried rice w/ tofu. Two we ordered spicy, and it WAS spicy, but did not take away from great flavors in each dish. Plenty to take home. Lots of take out going none stop. I ordered the Panang Curry special to go. On weekends they only do dinner special prices so it was $8.99 instead of $7.99, which is understandable. The special came with a salad, curry, rice, and two rolls. The salad was great with a honey mustard dressing! The veggie rolls were good, and the curry was amazing! The special came with a great amount of food. I definitely would've paid more! The customer service at this place is also wonderful! read more

I came here when I visited my sister and it was pretty good! I had a pad thai and it was very good as well as their thai iced tea. The duck is also great! I got take out, which took a little longer than we would have liked, but the food was worth it! read more

5 were it not closed on weekends. No one beats this Thai food. Drunken noodles are the bomb and so is the basil fish (back of the menu) large serving enough for two. Its all good here. read more

We recently ate here and it was amazing! We got two orders of Pad Thai and an order of Fried Calamari which comes with Fried Veggies. Food was fresh and flavorful. Enjoyed from start to finish. They were packed at lunch but the staff remained cool and courteous! All the food from the kitchen had to come by me and it all looked fantastic! Chicken satay was one of the best I have had- the chicken still moist, a bit carmelized on the outside and good peanut sauce. Pad Thai was flavorful with a hint of spice that I kept picking at long after I was full. Massaman curry with sticky rice was the entree and was equally delicious. Am going to be very happy again tomorrow with these leftovers! read more

My wife and I had an early dinner/late lunch here today and it was the first time ever at a restaurant that I have been compelled to speak with the staff and let them know how awesome and delicious it was. They invited me back to the kitchen to say hi and meet the chefs, which I did, and let them know how great everything was and how much we enjoyed our meal. My wife had pad thai and I had the yellow curry dinner. We split the appetizer of fresh rolls and everything was so flavorful, fresh, delicious and beautiful. For my first time here I have to say I was quite happy with my dining experience. My go to place for Thai in Redding is Champa Gardens but my wife suggested Thai Hut. I had the lunch special Garlic & Chili Catfish. They offer mild, spicy and very spicy. I ordered very spicy. The plate came with a side of rice. There was a plentiful batch of piping hot battered cat fish in a garlic sauce with tons of red chili's. It was outstanding. The fish was fresh and done just right. The sauce was typical Thai garlic sauce with a sweetness to it that was really nice. Great for sopping with rice. It was nice and spicy - I worked up a good sweat and got my sinuses cleared up nicely. It was plenty hot but if you like spicy I would say it was just right. The place is small and crowded. There is outside seating depending on weather. The service was friendly but slow. Other than that it was really good. I will have to try a few more dishes before I do a comparison with Champa, but my first impression is quite favorable!! read more

Simply great food and staff! We were driving across the country and relied on Yelp to find us some Thai and we were not disappointed! We unknowingly came in right before they closed and they insisted we stay and eat, even invited more guest who showed up after us. We started with the chicken satay and wonton soup, which thankfully the waitress us told us to get the small and not the large, both were delicious. I had the Chicken Salad and my fella had the pineapple shrimp curry. My salad was great, the honey mustard sauce and chicken were extremely tasty. He said his curry was delicious and it must have been as he didn't leave anything in the bowl. If we're ever in Redding again, we're there! read more

Best Thai Restaurant ever! My husband and I are vacationing to Redding, California, and this place was just a couple miles from the hotel. My husband and I really love Thai food so we have gone to many Thai restaurants. In my opinion, Thai Hut is seriously the best Thai restaurant I have been to! My husband got his usual Pad Thai, which was a much bigger portion than we were expecting especially considering the low price. He loved it, and he definitely had leftovers to bring back to the hotel. I was surprised and excited that they had Pho since that's usually a Vietnamese dish, so I ordered a small Beef Pho...there was nothing small about that bowl of soup! It was huge and so delicious. It had beef brisket, rare beef, and meatballs in it. It was so good! Also, I loved that they had real chopsticks not just the disposable ones. Also, my husband and I decided to get Thai tea, which we love, because not only was it a great price compared to many places I've been, but they also had optional refills for only an extra $1! I've never been to any Thai restaurant that offered any option for refill on the Thai tea, and it tasted great by the way. The service was awesome as well. The girl was very sweet and attentive. The restaurant is very clean, which I appreciate for sure. If I lived here, I would definitely be here often!! It was definitely the best Thai/Vietnamese food I've ever had! read more

Red curry was superb. A dynamic variety of fresh veggies in an abundance of curry. Drunken noodle was rich, and full of subtlety (that's my go to dish when eating Thai). Our servers were very attentive and on it (and they didn't have that weird thai waitress thing when they ask you in loooooong drawn out queeeestions if you waaaaaant aaaanytiiiiiing eeeeeeeelse?). The ladies that helped us were relaxed and genuine. They came to our table three times after we had received our food to see how we were doing. Awesome. We asked them if they could bring to our table some fresh cut thai chilis in some fish sauce. It was complimentary (as it should be) and on our table in less that a minute. The folks next to us were eating Pho. I've never seen Pho at a thai place before. I asked them if it was good and they said they come here for the pho exclusively. I will be trying the pho next time. The room is very small. I think it sits like 20 people. It feels like Thailand. Overall, we will definitely be returning here when we come back to Redding (every six months or so). read more

Driving thru Redding and wanted something light on my stomach, so usually Pho hits the spot. And to find Pho at a Thai place was unusual, but glad we tried it. The Special Pho was spot on, the broth wasn't salty, but very tasty. All the meats & seafood tasted fresh and they slice their beef & fish balls so you can grab it fast with rice noodles. My wife had the dinner special Pad Pak with chicken, she enjoyed her food, but she's easy to please. I have to say that she did finish her food, so that does say.alot! I have been going to Thai Hut for many years now and every time the food is incredible. My partner and I either get their chicken pho (but I've heard that their other pho flavors are to die for) or the green curry dinner also with chicken.
