We wanted to try a new Thai place and so we picked Thai Hut. We just got takeout to go. It is a quaint little restaurant. Pretty small but cute. Staff seems friendly. We weren't overly impressed with the food though. We got fried rice with chicken and fried egg rolls. The rice was over cooked and too soft. The flavor was good but not amazing. The fried egg rolls were over cooked as well and were pretty blackened. Flavor wasn't too bad but did seem to have a bit of curry in it which surprised us. Overall it okay. read more

Wife and I came here while we were staying in Redding for the weekend of Aug 1st.. Found the favorable reviews on Yelp. Very nice place, super fast and friendly service. Very nice to see. The staff was several young girls, who ALL seemed very attentive, they all ended up helping out on what seemed like every table. Kind of a team effort so it seemed. Food was very good. We had; Drunken noodles, Pad Thai, Calamari, Basil fried rice. We ordered way too much food, portions are large. However, was nice to sample many different items. Calamri was especially good, probably the best we have tasted. We love to try new Thai places, and Thai Hut is a thumbs up from us! We shall return! read more

I'm from SF, so this is definitely as good as it gets up this way! Great food and great service. I ordered their Thai iced tea, house fried rice, jelly noodles with pork and shrimp and calamari. Everything was great but the calamari was mostly vegetables and not the kind of calamari from the Bay Area. That was my biggest disappointment. But everything else made up for it. The prices are very reasonable considering the high quality of the food. My only disappoint was that the name is a little misleading. Food was good but very slow or inefficient kitchen. We ordered the large beef combo pho, Thai green curry with chicken, and chicken and eggplant dinner combo. After a half hour or so of waiting, the pho and green curry combo were served and we were in starvation mode after snow day that we started eating. Our pal who was yet to be served with his chicken and eggplant sat and waited additional 20 minutes while we went ahead and ate. The waitress was nice about it and independently checked on our pals food so it seemed like an inefficient and slow kitchen that was the culprit. Unfortunate that the food was decent but honestly not worth it since we couldn't enjoy our food together and waited so long to eat. Hopefully they figure the kitchen out and improve. read more

I have never had such bad Thai food. We always order the same dishes when we go to Thai restaurant. Phad see wee and a dish of veggies with brown rice. This is easily one of my favorite restaurants. I have tried many different things here and some of my favorites are: pad thai, chicken pho, and pad se eww. I am a bit of a picky eater but the staff is amazing and always willing to accommodate me in switching up my order to make it just how I like it. Their prices are extremely reasonable and the restaurant is very clean. It is a small location and sometimes there is a short wait to be seated, but trust me when I tell you it is 100% worth it. read more

Great food! Lunch is almost always full, prepare to wait. Waiting not only includes for a table but for your order too. A half hour is not uncommon, but I must say it is worth the wait. The Pho soup is absolutely fantastic. As you see from other reviews the Pad Thai is the best in Redding. It's a bit frustrating to get the server's attention just to refill your drink. They seem so busy they do not look you in the eye while running to tables in and outside. One server takes soup to a table and just behind the server runs another with chop sticks and a spoon. Maybe once they figure out how to handle a crowd the service will get better. At least the food is fantastic. Patience is best at this place, manga! read more
