Thai food in this town is this place. They have the best pho in town and do not disappoint on anything I've had and I've had quite a few different meals here. The nam kaow is to die for. Ask for their special hot pepper sauce to dunk sticky rice in and drizzle on the amazing dishes. Friendly service and bomb Thai teas sooooo good. read more

We stopped by Thai Hut for lunch on the way to Oregon. The service was pretty slow, but that may have been attributable to larger than usual crowds for the eclipse. I had the drunken noodles and thought it was quite salty. The medium spice was also extremely mild, and the chili oil that we got to make it up was not very chili'd. read more

Bookmarked this for our trip to Shasta. The drunken noodles were ok, eggplant good but thai fried rice disappointed us. Not a bad joint, the servers even let us eat our own gluten free brought from home stuff. We sat outside which was pleasant even in the hot afternoon. Overall pretty ok place. read more

Thai Hut is the BEST 5 star Thai food restaurant in Redding. If you get a chance, I would highly recommend checking this place out. It's a very compact restaurant, but I've never had to wait for a seat. They have indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor seating is usually available depending on what the weather is like. The service is friendly and quick. The waitresses never hesitate to assist their guests. I enjoy being greeted the moment I step one foot in the door. They always make me feel welcome and I really appreciate it. The food is beyond delicious. My top three dishes to order are the Beef Combo Pho, Beef Larb, and Beef Basil Bamboo. As you can see, I'm very fond of beef. The Pho broth tastes so wonderful and soothing. Thai Hut makes it perfectly perfect! The Beef Larb is the best Larb I've had in town. Larb is pretty much a ground or shredded meat salad that can be eaten warm or cold with cucumbers or lettuce. It's made with a meat of your choice mixed with all the wonderful, tasty herbs. The best part about Larb is the taste of lemon grass, mint, and cilantro. You know you are eating well-made Larb when you can smell it from two doors down. Huge props to Thai Hut for making it so tasty. Finally, to the Basil Bamboo. I'm a huge fan of Basil and Bamboo. I love this dish! It has very a strong bamboo flavor which makes it so tasty and so unforgettable. I love spooning some of the broth you find at the bottom of the dish over my rice. I can eat this all day. Bamboo just never gets old! Thai Hut really knows how to perfect all their dishes. Whoever that created the menu did a fantastic job judging by the presentation and taste of the food. This place has the best Pho Noodle in America, I'm convinced. I've deemed myself as a Pho connoisseur in a sense and did not have high expectations when I first came to Thai Hut however they exceed my expectations more and more every time I go on my lunch break. The staff are pleasant and warm and the atmosphere is small but very homey feeling. My only critique is it is so damn busy on the lunch hour, I rarely have time to eat there now and they don't take reservations. I absolutely LOVE this restaurant!! The staff is very friendly and on top of their game. The food is fresh and fabulous every time I've gone there, which is a lot since it's right down the street from my employment. The spicy Yum Won Sen is by far my favorite, especially now that it's getting to be summertime. You will not be disappointed!
