FAVORITE THAI IVE EVER HAD AND IVE HAD A LOT OF THAI. The staff is sooo friendly and easy going if you want substitutions for ingredients. They are quick when they aren't busy!! SERIOUSLY BEST THAI EVER. I recommend the "special peanut sauce" with your food! I order the fresh Thai rolls and it comes with it. We're from out of town and checked Yelp to find a good Thai restaurant - this one had 5 stars so it seemed like a safe bet. Our favorite food is Thai - favorite dishes are Green Curry and Cashew Chicken, which is what we ordered here. The menu said the curry was spicy (perfect) - so I didn't specify a spicy level. Unfortunately, it had no spice at all. You get a choice of meat in your curry, I asked for it without meat and I was charged $2 extra for vegetables, I just wanted the vegetables it came with... And it was chock full of mushrooms, yuck. Haven't had mushrooms in any Thai dish before. The cashew chicken lacked flavor. The food was fresh and the server was quite pleasant but we were sadly disappointed in the flavor of our food. Maybe their other dishes knock it out of the park, but not these two. First time here at The Thai Hut because of RRR. Must say the won ton soup was fantastic and we also had noodles with veggies and peanut sauce. We split them both and it was great and fresh. We will come back. Prices were very good $17.00 for everything. read more

I have eaten here twice and although good, don't see how they could get a 5-star review. It must me friends and family of the owner giving them such a high rating. Their Tom Ka Gai soup must contain tamarind powder as it has an orange hue and odd taste. I didn't care for it much. Their beef pho contains brisket and meatballs, but the meatballs look gelatinous and unappetizing so I had to pick them out. I suspect their vegetable egg rolls come frozen and are not handmade which is what one would expect from a 5-star establishment. Good, but not great. read more

This place is pretty good. Chicken wings were fab and had a good kick of spice. Yellow curry was decent and spiciness was in the low end of the range at medium...which was adequate for me. Pho was good as well. The staff are really friendly and I can see returning soon. I find many Thai restaurants in Redding to have flavorless and mild food. Thai Hut is my go-to for takeout. They serve authentic, fresh food that is always delicious! The drunken noodles never disappoint, the spring rolls are amazing and the pineapple curry is one of my favorites! I've had just about everything on the menu and haven't had anything I didn't like. The owners clearly take a lot of pride in the food they serve and the service is always fast, friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. We had the pad Thai and pineapple shrimp curry. Both were extremely delicious and obviously freshly cooked. The ambiance is more of a casual lunch place, but I'll take it to have that curry again. It was a perfect combo of slightly sweet and slightly spicy. Yum yum! read more

This place is very busy. The service is good. The menu is big. We ordered mango Thai fried rice，a bowl of pho, a cup of Thai tea. All taste very good. The portion is plenty. They don't open during the weekend though. They have two bathrooms, very clean. I would want to come back again! read more

Happiness!! We recently moved from central Redding to South Redding, making this place closer to us. Thus, we've now eaten there about 10 times! (Mostly take-out) Our usual order is a curry and a drunken noodle or pad thai. It is excellent! Flavorful, distinctive, and good quality. Moreover, we are vegan and gluten free; and they are always easily accommodating. We've found that most of the other Thai restaurants in Redding struggle to adapt dishes to be vegan or they simply will not. Additionally, this place feels good. It's hopeful, light-hearted, and pleasant. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Make your way to Thai Hut and enjoy!!! read more

I was doing the Laundry across the street and I have been to the Classic Hollywood "Chao Prya" which is in the shadow of the Capital records building, Best Thai Food made for the Stars. I Went in to buy a Thai Coffee and they had 2 people ordering and still walking in. Their was NO Order, the Waitress Ignored me serving other people and not me. With Lousy Service I was then told they could reheat me some Thai Coffee { at over $5.00.) That was it... I said No and left. I was surprised this has to be the Smallest Thai Place I ever saw. Came here following the owners hoping for the same experience I have always had and found it once again! Thai Huts service was fast and friendly. Though the restaurant is quite small the food packs plenty of flavor. They have really good lunch specials for 7$ that come with a salad, egg roll and rice. My husband and I are from the Bay Area but drove up this way today to go hiking. On our way home I turned to yelp for a good place to eat and saw that Thai Hut had good reviews and decided to try them out. Let me start by saying the service was amazing. We ordered the beef pho, chicken laab, and beef pad see ew. All three had tons of flavor and came out quick and hot. If I lived up here I would become a regular. What a great little restaurant! Great flavors! I really like how they actually make spicy food. It's actually really really spicy, because I was dieing haha but it was so good. The waiters are very friendly. I order beef pho small and a dinner special of spicy chicken curry which came with a salad, egg rolls, and rice. The Thai tea was really good too. My wife ordered the chicken pad thai, which was also very tasty. It's very hard nowadays to find good Thai food, that has owners that are willing to be brave enough to actually play with flavors and make it actually spicy. Best Pho in Redding!! I have had the shrimp pho at least a dozen times and it's always consistently on point!

The food its was decent. The place needs help with its operations. The first time I placed an order I arrived to pick it up to be told that one of my dishes they were out of. You need to keep the person taking orders on top of what items you do and do not have. You should never let some place an order for something you do not have. Stopped in with my staff while in town for a conference. The lunch menu and lunch specials were a good portion. The flavors were good. They had quick service and very friendly. I had the green curry with chicken...spicy! It was great. The gravy was excellent, I highly recommend trying this if you like Thai food. read more
