Tried this place out as our local Thai go to recently closed. The atmosphere was very nice but the food was less than impressive. First the Pad Thai had way too much tofu, the beef dish had very fatty beef that was chewy and was not enjoyed. The service was ok but not a fan. read more

Ordered takeout for a late lunch on Monday. Originally was going to order two Thai Salads, but was told a salad came with a main course, which was very nice of the woman answering the phone. After placing my order, I was told it would be 10 minutes. Upon entering, the restaurant was pretty empty, but it was 2:15, and I was greeted by a very nice woman at the register, who I assume also took my order. She was very nice and helpful! I ordered the Pad Cashew with Chicken and Pad Thai with Chicken. The meal (lunch) came to a total of $17.12, which is reasonable. The portions are about medium sized, but they are lunch. As for the meal itself, the Pad Cashew was delicious! It was nice and flavorful, with plenty of chicken and vegetables, with a scoop of jasmine rice which mixed very well with the leftover sauce. The Pad Thai was pretty bland, maybe next time I should ask for it to be spicier. The portion was large, and I was able to have it for a couple of leftover meals. I come here often with a few friends. My friends always order the same thing, soup (tom cra gai) and tea. They love the place and Thai Kitchen is always consistant. I try different things and this time (Wednesday, for lunch), ordered the pad tou kak. It was really good. I usually order a lunch special which comes with their great spring rolls and a salad. You would not expect to get outstanding Thai food from a restaurant that is located in the western fringes of Morris county. Unlike most restaurants based in a strip mall/ retail complex, Thai Kitchen has both the food and the ambiance for a really enjoyable meal. The food is outstanding and everything. After trying almost everything on the menu I cannot seriously complain about anything. So that I do not appear to be a 16 year old school girl gushing about Justin Beiber, I tried to list some negatives but really cannot think of anything that I would really ask them to change. The only small critisism I have is for the salmon- after trying their boar I had very high expectations which the salmon could not deliver on. read more

I did not enjoy the food here at all. The dumpling appetizer was like a wad of rubber filled with mystery meat. The main dish was very bland and soupy. It missed the mark completely. The management was also unfriendly and unwelcoming. The only thing that made the experience tolerable was the wait staff. Save your money and your stomach...I would not recommend. read more

very good a little hard to find if you are not from this area its in the streets of chester shopping plaza and its tucked towards the back of the plaza. ambiance was good, it wasn't quiet but you didnt have to shout to be heard at your own table so a very comfortable noise level. had the duck noodles which was a large portion so very fulfilling and it was delicious we also had pra raam and pad thai and everyone enjoyed their meals. pra raam was very good at a level 3 spicy it was perfect just enough for flavor but not spicy where you can't enjoy your food. service was quick and portion sizes satisfying. read more

Boyfriend and I go there at least 3 times a month because of the quality of the food and high level of good service. Service is excellent and staff is very very nice (Ploy, Nan, Oscar/Mgr.). Food is excellent and atmosphere is classy and romantic. BYOB so don't forget to bring your wine. Make reservations, as on weekends starting at 6pm it gets very busy. Even if you don't like spicy food (like myself) there are plenty of Entree's on the menu to satisfy "anyone'" palate. read more

I have been here a number of times. The food is good, service attentive and friendly. We love that upon our request they make the food REALLY spicy, not NJ spicy -- you just have to ask for it. The reason I am giving 4 stars is not really their fault. For some reason, it seems to attract (?) families with out-of-control kids with parents who do nothing about them. The Thai Kitchen has been there for almost 5 years and we never knew it was there. Word of mouth turned us on to it and we finally tried it . Sure glad we did. It is a little hidden gem at the end of the shopping center. We had the Summer Rolls which were out of this world. Fresh, crisp and refreshing. The Pad Kra Tiem ( w/ chicken) also was very good. I know I have to kick it up a few notices to get things more spicy since I love spicy foods. The service was great. We need to return sooner than later. read more

We've had dinner here before; the food is pretty good and service is top notch. However, when we stopped in at 2:30 pm on Sunday, the server said they were closed, even though their hours run until 3 pm, and there were customers eating in the restaurant. Very disappointed to make a trip for nothing. If you close at 2:30, post your hours at 2:30. It will be a while before we try this place again. read more

My daughter & I had a terrible meal tonight! I ordered Pra Raam, which is chicken in a peanut sauce over 'green vegetables'. Peanut sauce consisted of crushed peanuts in starch with 3 small pieces of broccoli, scallions & a couple of red bell peppers. My daughter had Pad See Ew with what was suppose to be beef but I think was beef liver! Gross, she actually got sick when we came home. Sorry to say we will not go back for a long time. We are locals & have been coming to this restaurant for a long time & think they need to change up the menu a bit. Living in a small town it's hard to find new places to try, about a year ago my boyfriend and I came here for the first time; and we were instantly hooked! It's been our go to spot every Friday night. First off the staff and service is impeccable, everyone is extremely friendly and they always do a great job no matter how busy it gets. Secondly the food is delicious, we normally order the same thing everytime; but have branched out and tried other things on the menu. For appetizers the fried dumplings are a definite, they're fried but not heavy, there is just enough crispness. My boyfriend normally get the Pad Tou Pao, with either chicken and shrimp or beef. It's a blend of mushrooms, peppers and onions in a spicy lite sauce. I normally get either the yellow curry or the Pad Tou Kak, both are scrumptious and lite. The best part besides the food and service would have to be the atmosphere! It's beautifully decorated, and a perfect place for date night. All in all this place deserves 5 stars, and we will continue to keep coming back! read more
