A humble little space in a strip mall with just a couple of tables and you know this is going to be good. We ordered lunch specials, which are very reasonably priced. I got General Tso's chicken, which came with choice of soup (hot & sour, thank you) choice of rice (fried, thank you). My wife got the veggie Lo Mein. Service was prompt. Everything was delicious. Absolutely delicious. Portions were large enough to make two light meals for each of us. The only ding against was that the women's restroom smelled like dirty diapers, so that was unpleasant and kind of made us wonder what else wasn't so clean. The food was surprisingly good for a restaurant located in a strip center. There was no ambiance, didn't appear very clean and the bathroom was not maintained. However, it looks like most of their business is take out so it works. We had the combination noodle dish, braised beef noodle soup and two kinds of chicken wings. Arguably the best food spot in Tallahassee to me behind the Huntsman. The prices of the food is not bad at all considering how much you get. I typically got 2-3 meals out of whatever I ordered. I even ordered catering once for my work place and everyone loved it. Walking in, there's not many tables as this place is more of a to-go restaurant. The lady at the counter is very sweet and will answer any questions you have. You can order with her, online, or at the kiosk they have next to the counter. Excellent service! Very friendly and accommodating. My daughter and I ordered off the lunch menu. The price was decent, the serving size was generous for a lunch. Their dishes are very saucy. I prefer it a little lighter but my daughter loved it. She ordered shrimp and broccoli with Hunan sauce. The shrimp were beautiful! Nice and big and plump. Wanted a lot of Chinese cuisine for my cheat day. Decided to try some new and routine dishes here. Everything was pretty delicious. The service was good and prompt for my pick up order. The ambiance is what you would expect but slightly seems like the dining area is just unfinished based on the amount of customers who want to sit down and eat at the restaurant. This is my favorite Chinese spot in Tallahassee. Their Szechuan wings are the best, and I get them every time with fried rice or lo mein. I've been here twice and I can safely say that it is among the best Chinese food that I have had in town. I ordered the krab Rangoon. The wonton was chewy, but I imagine it would have been better if it was hot out of the grease. The filling was good with, I'm guessing, crunchy green onion inside. I ordered the beef with scallions and the shrimp with scallions. The sauce was a savory one with hints of sweetness. I liked the beef more because it was still tender. Food: The food was good. I got the orange chicken with white rice and it was very flavorful and spicy. I really enjoyed the spicy aspect. One thing that could've been better was the food plate choice--I like to combine my rice with the chicken and it was hard to do that with the divider. Service: Service was great! Amazing food, especially if you like Szechuan food. And great value, too, considering how it's hard to get anything decent under $20 these days. (I had so many sub-par dishes at chain and locally owned restaurants in Tallahassee and I just don't eat out for dinner any more except here. Oh and occasionally driving to Zaan in Thomasville. Today I had a horrible Thai take out from a place that used to be Ok, and that prompted me to write a good review for this place. Their menu doesn't offer some basic things (dumplings, wontons) and a few of my favorite Szechuan items (couples's beef, chili oil wontons..), but their dry pot and hot and spicy pot are probably some of the bests I have tried in this country. And the Szechuan chicken wings are so addictive! I also like their "scallion style" dishes. Mapo tofu has great flavor and texture..& the eggplant with garlic sauce is the best in town. (Their lomein and fried rice are ok, comparatively speaking.. ). I don't usually order fried chicken dishes at Chinese restaurants, but the orange chicken that my friend got was also delicious. I really hope they'll keep their food quality without sacrificing the flavors..& hopefully they'll get more people working in the kitchen so that they can expand the menu and serve with real plates again! * It can take a while to take out (sometimes over an hour), but I don't mind it as I can plan accordingly. * There are seats, but recently they stopped serving done-in customers. Needed a bit more pieces of pork to go with all the noodles. Didn't care for the hot n sour soup - strange aftertaste to me. 3rd entree was beef with garlic sauce. It was spicy but really flavorful.
