My fiancé and I contracted the WORST case of food poisoning from here last year (October 2019) that we ever had. We each lost over ten pounds a piece. Two others that also ate takeout got food poisoning as well. All of us had meals with chicken in them, so I'm sure the chicken was culprit on that date. I reported it to the Grand Traverse Health Department. I'm not sure if anything was looked into, but thought people should be aware. I am just posting now because one of our friends just got food poisoning from eating here just a few days ago and unfortunately spiked my memory from last year. Excellent little Thai place! It also has some Vietnamese (pho) and Korean (bulgogi) dishes as well. I had the yellow curry rice with chicken and it was amazing. The place is clean but rather cheap looking. The food was average at best. The menu is a mix of Thai, Korean, Chinese and Vietnamese, all extremely Americanized. The food wasn't bad it was just too average. Our waitstaff person was attentive but if we asked questions that she did not know the answers to she did not have the intuition to go find out the answer. Best pineapple fried rice ever!! I'm not a fried rice fan but found myself eating off my companion's plate to the point of getting dirty looks. I had the massaman curry with veg and tofu. The curry was very tasty but the potatoes were over cooked and tofu was rubbery and chewy. I'll skip adding tofu next time; however, my companion enjoyed it so we traded tofu for bites of fried rice. (The tofu is the freeze dried/fried stuff that has a rubbery texture.) Looking forward to trying more of their menu. read more

I had the red curry with tofu. Fyi, the tofu is fried, noms. The vegetables that came in the curry were, I think, peas, green pepper, bamboo shoots and water chestnuts. I cannot remember onions, but probably they were there. I got brown rice, it was nice to be given the choice between white or brown, too. The sauce was more watery than I was used to, but had decent flavor. Fyi, on the weekends at lunch they only serve dinner portions. Not sure if that was just for takeaway or if it included dine-in. But, it was plenty of food, i had dinner and lunch the next day. I got cream cheese wontons too, because, fatty, lol. Nah, it's just hard to resist if they are on a menu. But, sadly underwhelming, I just ate the cream cheese pockets as the rest didn't taste too fresh or crispy, prolly from a warming tray versus "fresh" from the fryer, I get it from a business standpoint but it causes me boohoos. read more

We had the chicken peanut pad Thai stepped up a notch in the spice, some places just make it hot without flavor this was not the case you could taste the noodles, chicken and peanut sauce first then the heat came. My mom and I decided to try this place because we love Thai food and we were excited about a new Thai place closer to home (we usually drive to Grand Rapids for Thai food). The service was good, and there weren't many people so we were seated right away. We ordered right away and we're served not long after. I wasn't overly impressed by the portion size, it was quite small compared to every other Thai place. The food left me even less impressed. I had the peanut curry but didn't taste any peanut or any other flavours. I tried my moms spicy curry rice but it wasn't spicy at all (I usually can't handle anything too spicy), it was also lacking in flavour. Sadly we won't be going back, it definitely wasn't worth it. :( read more

We were seriously disappointed with this place. The vegetable egg drop soup was absolutely disgusting. It smelled like ammonia and had a terrible after taste. I just couldn't continue to eat it after about two bites. The pad thai was ok. Just ok. Nothing special. Both my mom and uncle were also disappointed with their meals. Some of the best pad Thai I've ever had. Their menu is well marked for gluten free options and there is plenty to choose from! I had the original pad Thai with chicken and my husband had the peanut curry with chicken. We ordered spicy and they delivered - our mouths were on fire. The portions are huge, dinner portions could be shared unless you want leftovers! We were much more impressed by this Thai restaurant than the other in town. I had the Penang Curry, which was excellent if you want a little bit of sweet to the meal. Service was also excellent as they were very attentive to our needs, including refilling of water. This was a great place in the before times, now? Well, went in expecting things to be a little more expensive and maybe even portions to be a little smaller - I do understand basic economics - but wracking up a fifty plus dollar bill for Green Curry (admittedly with beef) and a plate of Peanut Pad Thai (also with beef) four crab rangoons and two regular old hot teas, was just a little startling. The portions were very small (especially the pad thai) and we left satiated but not full enough to avoid a small meal a little later. These same dishes, when larger, were much cheaper. The food is excellent and the service is good, not much of an atmosphere since it was very quiet in there as no music played and there were just enough people to not be very loud. Overall, I hate to say this as it was once a favorite restaurant of mine, the dining experience was pretty bad and the bill was an eye opener. I hope that some kind of normalcy returns and you can get food like this for twelve bucks again, but I figure that's just a pipe dream. We decided to give this place a shot. We were kind of leery of ethnic restaurants in Traverse City, but so glad we came here. We ordered thai style lomein and beef pho. Hubby said his lomein was good and my son loved it too. The pho wasn't the most authentic that I ever had, but they used fresh ingredients and the broth tasted good. The beef for the pho could be sliced thinner, but all in all, it's pretty satisfying. 3.5* but I bumped up for the tasty chili oil that they provided. read more
