All around negative experience. Food is 5/10 but the service is 1/10. Go to a different restaurant!Pad Thai

Wow. We live in SLC and were coming back up from Lindon; my 5 year old (who is obsessed with pad seeu) requested Thai food so we stopped here. Incredible. My best friend is Thai, so I have had much experience with both home-cooked Thai and restaurant Thai. We ordered pad seeu (crisp vegetables, not greasy), a glass noodle salad (very fresh, cold, and tasty), and the pho. I was hesitant to order pho at a thai place but the waiter assured me that the name was incorrect, and it was more of a tamarind-based noodle soup. It was awesome, sweet and spicy. The waiter was friendly and attentive. The ONLY drawback is that it's in Draper; we are often only down there if coming home on a sunday and of course they're closed then. Other than that, best Thai food I've had yet in the valley. read more

I will not pretend to know anything about Thai food. Besides the occasional dish at non-thai restaurants that claim to be Thai food, I had never eaten at an actual Thai restaurant. With that i \n mind, this was the Best Thai food i have ever had, and very far up there as far as food in general! I have not had sticky white rice that even comes close to how good their rice was, anywhere in the state! it was sticky, moist, consistent, and cooked the perfect amount! Curry is something i have had, on many occasions, and their's was exceptional! smooth, and with a lot of flavor and spice, and just the right amount of heat. I came here for lunch and was treated like a criminal and/or outcast. I was asked if I had a to-go order, and when I stated that I just wanted to have lunch, I was handed a menu. I looked at the menu, and informed them that I was ready to order. I said, "I guess I have to order takeout, since you seem as though you don't want me here," and the young kid said, "I wasn't sure what you wanted, ok. " After second thought, I decided not to spend my hard earned money at a place who made me feel like I was unwelcome. Apparently, the conversation the staff were having at the table was more important than a customer. Horrible horrible HORRIBLE customer service. This is one of my favorite places to get Thai. It's a small place, but the flavors are fantastic and the service is friendly and helpful. It is rarely busy (we have only had to wait once), and the food usually comes pretty fast. The Duck Curry and Pumpkin Curry are the best. And the spring rolls with extra peanut sauce! read more

I've loved this place in the past but when I tried to order half chicken half veggies they called me back to tell me their restaurant can't do this. I've ordered this way in the past because I don't love a lot of meat and it's never been a problem. The inability to be flexible is a reflection on the customer service and I'm not impressed. Will probably go to the many other delicious Thai restaurants that are more customer service based. read more

Ridiculous wait for the lunch special. We came with a group of friends for lunch. When we arrived we waited about 10 minutes to be seated. We all looked at the lunch special and everyone was ready to order. Our waitress didn't come by for over 20 minutes! As we ordered we asked how long our food would take. (One lady in our party had to leave within an hour.) Our waitress said our food would take around 20 minutes. We ordered, and waited and waited and waited. We waited over a half hour just to receive the soup that was part of the lunch special. The soup tasted good, but our bowls were only 1/2 full! The amount was less than 1/2 Cup! Then we waited another 30 minutes just for our food. The massaman curry was good, but the yellow curry was so extremely hot anyone who ate it couldn't eat it! We wanted to complain, but we couldn't get our waitresses attention....at all!!! To finish off the lousy experience, we waited over 45 minutes for the check and to pay!!!! We were even charged the WRONG amount!!! We waited OVER 2 HOURS to be seated, order, receive our food, and eat and pay! The food was good, not awesome, just good. The amount of food portions are horrible and way too small. The service was the worst I have had at any restaurant....EVER! We have eaten at Thai Land a few times. The service is always bad, always. The food is good, but the they skimp on portions and amounts. The amount you get for the price is so small!!! read more

Good food at a decent price. Once you've been in a few times, the owner will recognize you and often remembers what you order. I've even called in my meal 10 minutes out on the road for a grab and go and was well taken care of. Pad Siew and Pad Thai are good noodle dish choices. Portion size is actually quite good. Setting and ambience is good for business meetings or family gatherings, but not so much for a romantic dinner for two. The Thai House in Lehi would be better suited for a date than the Draper location. Food is the same at both locations. Parking at the Draper location is better than Lehi, since it has a larger (shared) private lot. The Lehi location can be tricky when it comes to parking on a busy night. Food comes out at about average time (7 to 10 minutes) and has always been served HOT. Good taste overall. Can be made spicier if requested. Will continue to dine here. read more

The most awkward date night ever. Our waiter was basically a third wheel on our date - interrupting our conversation to ask questions, over-offering advice and judgement - it was so odd that I was giggling through the second half of the meal. Our food came out promptly. The pork buns were good - I'd say in the 90th percentile (and I've eaten a LOT of buns in my days..). The chicken skewers were bland and a bit tough, but the peanut sauce was tasty. My husband ordered the pad see ew (forgive my failure to spell Thai) and it was good - he chose to add Sriracha, I thought it had a good oyster-sauce flavor on it's own. He also ordered a soup with hard noodles on top and inhaled the thing. I ordered a seafood mix that, while seemingly well cooked and tasty, left me with an upset stomach for the rest of the evening. So far my favorite Thai food since moving to Draper a year ago. I occasionally try other places (for variety) and end up disappointed. Not the best overall atmosphere compared to others. It is basic. I love Thai food and this place a great. Don't be put off by the location. I've been going here since they opened. Good people and good food. We've hosted a couple of Thai exchanged students and they say it's some of the best they've had outside of Thailand. They even made us some dishes on request that were not on the menu. Fantastic curry + awesome service! I ordered the green curry for takeout and it was absolutely delicious. I am a bit bad with spice so I definitely had tears welling up while enjoying this meal, but I couldn't stop eating it! I had planned to leave some leftover for myself for the next day but couldn't stop thinking about how delicious it was and ended up reheating the last half later that night. The food was hot and ready when I got there and the staff was super helpful. Not to mention the portions were really generous for the price. Everyone should check this place out!!! read more

Masaman curry is very good. They are always so nice and we can share the dinner portions.

It took us some time to find the place (it's off of the freeway, next to the bank) but we were happy when we got there. We ordered pho and chicken green curry. The shrimp pho was definitely NOT pho. It should be renamed Thai soup with pho noodles. Pho is not just about the noodles, it also about the flavor of the soup: star anise, roasted onion, cinnamon in a clear broth that is cooked over hours, served with a plate of fresh basil, bean sprouts, lemon, pepper, and culantro. Thai Land's pho was a surprise deviation--sweet soup (seems like there was a lot of sugar in it), broth was not clear, and it did not come with a plate of veggies. Regardless, it was good once I got over the initial disappointment of it not being pho. Pros: 1. Good food: Soup was good, despite not being pho; green curry was delicious. The green curry was good--really liked how flavorful it was. We chose the spice level #3 which was pretty spicy and good. 2. clean 3. great service-the waitress was very courteous and nice Cons: 1. Pho was not pho--needs to be renamed. It came in a very large bowl but was only 1/2 full--for $8.99, portion was smaller than your typically $7.99 large pho bowl at pho restaurants. read more

Just had a lovely dinner here, some of the best Thai I have had. I got the Spring Rolls, Pad Kee-Mao (wide noodles with chili sauce) & Mango Sticky Rice. Been here three times. Recommendation from a friend. Always different. Different in that my daughters and I typically get the usual, red, green, massaman or Penang. One time my 15-year-old had green papaya salad. Super friendly, super all over the place. Always good, never great. Still better than Thai Siam or whatever it's called. The service here is great, everyone is super nice. The restaurant is very clean, when you walk to the bathroom you can see the spotless kitchen, and it's a nice surprise to see such clean bathrooms! The food itself is about average in price and somewhat small for the portions. I usually get the tofu Pad Thai here and it's delish. What keeps this at 4 stars for me, is the fact the seem to skimp of the veggies and peanuts, it's mostly noodles and little of anything else. The decor is simple and nice, modern too. Billy, the owner is very nice and loves kids. I'm pretty sure he doesn't forget a familiar face and you'll always be greeted with a smile by him! read more

The staff was nice, although very busy. They could probably use a little help during the evening rush. The spring rolls were the least Thai-like that I've had. I thought they seemed like a cross between a Chinese egg roll and a Thai spring roll. This theme continued into the entree where I thought the food was cut more like Chinese food yet served with a Thai sauce. My wife's drunken noodles were probably 1/3 the normal width for that dish. We made our own rice, and then discovered that even though we paid extra for seafood to be the protein in the curry, it was substituted for beef. My wife is allergic to beef which made it inedible.
