You know those masseuse that do the standard massage and overcharge? Well there is nothing standard about this masseuse! Her massage style is VERY unique in an amazing way. She massaged every single part of my body, that I'd allow of course, from my pinky toe to my eyebrow. Stretched me in ways I didn't even know I could. This place is a hidden gem. TAYLOR customizes your massage based on what your needs are, heads up, if you don't get massages regularly, this experience will be a bit painful, but you must welcome this pain. Let me start by saying that I have probably had over a hundred massages over the years, so I tend to have a high bar. The 60 min massage I just had with Taylor was probably one of the best I have ever had. The combination of deep tissue and intense stretches was incredible. Taylor really knows her stuff. I like strong pressure and I can tell you that she worked out some very stubborn knots in my upper back. She keeps you informed of what she is doing and seems to intuitively know just how far to push your body. The environment was very clean, nice and easy to find. As I just moved to the S Loop, this is going to be my go to place going forward. read more

Taylor is a miracle worker. I workout a lot and have a tendency not to stretch as much as I need to. I use to add pilates and yoga to my workout but over the last year I have just been gravitating to weights every time. I only go to get a massage when I'm extremely stressed or really tight so my muscles are overly tight. Going in I new there would be rough patches, but I had no idea how many knocks I had in just about ever part of my body. Like I tough guy I tried to hold it in and just breath. Taylor told me it was just us so feel free to scream as loud as I want. I let her know I deserve the pain for not stretching and getting massages more often. I feel a lot better and can still feel the major muscles that were tight. I really appreciate Taylor's work and feel like she needs a massage after working on me. When it is all over just think of the crying as tears of joy. It's just like working out with a trainer, you may hate doing it but you will love the results. This is an overdue review since I have been to Thai Lotus twice. My first time was at their Broadway location with my husband back in winter. Entering the Broadway location and making your way up the stairs was kind of sketchy.. I prefer this location much better as far as cleanliness and being more inviting. For this session, I booked a 2 hour massage for myself. Yes, 2 hours!! So worth it! They also provide you with loose clothing to change into. Since this occurred about a month ago with COVID, I never felt unsafe. My masseuse was also a male (didn't get a chance to get his name) and never did I feel uncomfortable during my massage. I was informed that I did not have to wear a mask on for the duration of the session, but my masseuse did keep his on. You are asked on any specific or problem areas you may want your masseuse to focus on; so be honest. You are also asked during the massage if the pressure is too little or too much. Metered parking is plentiful in the area. I was able to find parking right in front of the building. Overall, the 2 hours is absolutely worth every penny! Get ready to be stretched and flexed in ways you did not know was possible! You will leave feeling like you are walking on clouds! read more

Came back for another massage, and got a different therapist, and unfortunately had a much worse experience. So, sadly, can't really recommend this place if the experience will be so variable. I basically felt like I wasn't getting massaged at all (despite feedback) and felt some pain on joints due to incorrect angles and pressure. Also noticed that the therapist may have just been smoking and seemed a little inexpert in how to do techniques. But at least they were nice. read more

So we looked up online and also messaged some friends of ours for some recommendations and Thai Lotus Bodywork is recommended by several people. We booked an appointment since; this place only accepts customers strictly by appointment.  The moment we entered the place, we knew why they recommended it to us. The place is so relaxing, the interior design itself is almost enough for us to feel relaxed, they have a very elegant and comforting tea room and they have free Wi-Fi, but that's not what we came for of course. This place specializes in different types of massage like deep tissue massage, sports massage yoga stretching, and many more. The people who work here are welcoming; the vibes they give are not like one of those that make you feel awkward, I remember encountering some. And they know what their job is. I have chronic neck, shoulder, and upper back issues and was overdue for a massage. I did a quick Yelp search and found Thai Lotus. They were quick with responding and making an appointment was seamless. I was greeted at the door by Miron. He was professional and made sure to address my problem areas. He made sure the amount of pressure was tolerable/enough and I thoroughly enjoyed the stretching portion of the massage; I didn't realize how sore I was and it was the cherry on top. Thanks to my inlaws my wife and I had a free day to hang out. She wanted to get a couples massage so she did all of her research and found Thai Lotus. Let me be clear my wife and left in agreement that this was the best massage each of us had ever experienced. We left feeling amazing. The ladies did not introduce themselves so I don't have names and I don't want to describe them using physical features. But they were both great at what they do. So now I'm going to explain the three stars. During the massage there seemed be an ongoing spat between the ladies. The young lady working on me seemed to become irritated about the placement of the oil by the lady working with my wife. So there was a period during the massage where their open dialog became a distraction. It only lasted a brief period of time but it was definitely noticed. I was so surprised at the lack of professionalism, given how well everything else went. The spat continued even after the massage concluded. After we paid, tipped the ladies and exchanged pleasantries we heard a loud door slam and very loud arguing. Im certain there were others in the facility being serviced and this series actions would have undoubtedly disturbed their sessions. I will definitely give them another try because the massage was great. I promise if I wasn't married I would have asked that woman to marry me just for the massage . I came here for my birthday and received a fantastic Thai massage in a professional atmosphere. I keep thinking back on it and wishing I could go again, which is always a sign of a great experience. I did the couples massage with my boyfriend and it was performed in a clean, relaxing room and didn't feel awkward at all. They give you comfy clothes to change into and wear during the massage, which I appreciated. By the end of the massage, I felt stretched out and relaxed, just like I wanted. The building is a little intimidating but it's easy to figure out where to go and once you're inside, it's smooth sailing. Calm, relaxing, professional, great massage! I scheduled on the evening of 7/5, subsequently receiving a confirmation emaIl for my 2pm appointment for 7/7. An email was sent to me @ 7:34pm on 7/6, requesting my appointment confirmation, however there were no instructions for the preferred confirmation method. Neither was there a hyperlink to confirm, also note that there were no other warning of confirmation time deadline. I arrived at 2pm my appointment on 7/7 & was advised of there being no appointment. The lady working texted someone, while I waited for clarification. I immediately received a call, & was rudely told that I did not have an appointment, because I had not confirmed! My appointment had been given away to an Asian gentleman, who'd arrived shortly after 2. I wasn't offered any alternate accommodating times. The gentleman on the phone was very rude and quite frankly, its my belief that they were not interested in serving someone such as myself. I am not in the business of convincing any establishment to take my money! As I understand, we both have a right to refuse undesirables!! read more

Great experience and it was easy to setup an appointment through yelp. However, if you never had a Thai massage before you should read up on it first. You are given clothes to wear and it's invasive. So you'll feel the massage therapist on the table with their knees into your back. I enjoyed the pressure because I was having back pain. Just let your therapist know if you want a regular massage or thai massage and also if you have a gender preference because your upper legs and butt do get massaged. read more

Went for a massage a few weeks ago. Because of my job, I'm constantly having neck/shoulder/back pain. I get massages once every 1-2 months, usually at places like Massage Envy or Heavenly but thought I'd try this place out since just down the street...and WOW. This was by far one of the best, if not THE best massage I've ever had. Different from others in that they give you different clothes to put on. They do the usual Swedish/deep tissue style massaging but also do a variety of stretches that feel amaaaazing. I walked out of there feeling like a new person. It wasn't the most "relaxing" massage per se but that wasn't really my goal. I can't wait to go back. Both Valentina and Miron are amazing. They offer couples massage rooms as well. read more

If I could give 6 stars, I would! First time getting Thai-style bodywork done, and it was a bit daunting but holy crap was it worth it. Ivan was great about checking in throughout the session and reminding me to take deeper breaths, and I felt more than comfortable letting him know whenever something was too intense. I went in feeling stiff and like my back was "stuck". Coming out, its incredible how I'm even *breathing* easier--feels like my chest has expanded. I was amazed by how Ivan knew exactly where my sore/tight spots were and incorporated different movements until those spots finally released their tension. Appreciated the slow but firm movements and just what an excellent experience it was overall. It was also very reasonably priced, and I was lucky enough to get into a same-day appointment. I have found the antidote to work-at-home body aches, and it's a massage at Thai Lotus. I had no idea what to expect, and discovered it was EXACTLY what I needed. The combination of massage and stretching opened up all the places that are normally hunched over a computer, and my body felt so much freer when I left. The room was homey and comfortably warm. This is my new "go to" spa for serious body health treatments. Located upstairs on the second floor. The waiting area is no frills, but quiet and comfortable. Take off your shoes; you'll be offered tea or a cold drink as you relax before your session. I chose to do a little meditation as my wife and I prepared for a 90 minute full couples treatment. Once in the massage room, I was given a pair of black baggy shorts that tie on and I laid down on a very large comfortable massage table. I'm 6'5 and it was the best fitting table I've been on. The massage by Nina was unlike anything I've had before. The combination of heat, stretching and deep massage was perfect. I'm currently a stage 4 cancer battler and this is now part of my survival remedy to eliminate inflammation and increase blood flow and healing. The 90 minutes went by very quickly. At 58 yrs old, I was a bit hesitant to try something this different, but the amazing feeling in my body that has lasted for several days is proof of how effective Thai massage is for your health.
