What a fantastic dinner! We ordered two different flavor wings - Tom Yum and Chili Garlic. Both were fantastic - the Chili Garlic were bursting in flavor and spice, not for the mild spiced crowd. The Tom Yum were amazing. We loved them both! We also ordered the Crab Rangoon, and wish we had ordered two of them! Delish! For entrees, we ordered spicy basil with shrimp and chicken fried rice. All was plenty of food for 3 people.... ordered online and picked up with ease with DELIGHTFUL service. If I could give 0 stars I would. My stomach did not feel good after eating some of their Pho soup with chicken. No one greeted us at the door when we walked in and we sat ourselves down at a table ourselves. The tables did not come with seasoning or sauces until after they brought your food, tables were also sticky. They don't have any cushions on any of the wooden benches or chairs either. We waited for our actual food we ordered and it came out after about 30-45 minutes. I took a bite of the chicken from the Pho soup; It smelled really good with ginger and some other spices, I was eager to take a bite. I was so disappointed when the chicken had no flavor to it, even though it's drenched in the soup that was super strong. After eating some of the rice noodles, my stomach started to not feel good and felt as if I finished doing 200 crunches, it was burning! I refused to eat any more of their colossal-sized serving of the soup. I still didn't feel good enough to drink some of my water or walk up to the register. After the people, I came with, paid, they met me outside as I was leaning against my car, holding my stomach, not feeling good. I don't know what was in that stuff, but it is not authentic or good food. The service was shallow and the place was practically empty (like 4 people, other than the 3 of us) while we were there, but yet it still took 30-45 minutes for us to get our food. I 100% do NOT recommend eating here. The only good thing I consumed, at the restaurant was the green candies they have at the register for when you're finished eating and paying for your food! read more

This place had ample seating with very nice and attentive staff. We ordered the green curry and pad khee mao. Green curry was very tasty! Pad khee mao was great as well with lots of vegetables, however I wish there were a little more noodles! They also advertise their wings as being the best in town--they were not the best I've ever had but still pretty good and flavorful, surprisingly spicy. I had the sweet taramind wings and crab Rangoon. The crab Rangoon is decent (nothing super special) but the sweet taramind wings were amazing!! Id try other wings here too, they were perfectly cooked but still had a crispy skin. The taramind sauce made the wings though. It really doesn't get much better than this. I try every Thai restaurant I can find when I visit or move to a new place. It's my favorite kind of food. Thai Me Up is truly the best I've had! And on top of that, it consistently tastes good and fresh. Often times Thai places vary day-to-day and change up chefs/recipes, but that just doesn't happen here. It's always amazing, the people are always kind and very quick, and the menu is just big enough to maintain the quality whilst offering many options. I couldn't be happier to have this in my town! Came in after the basketball tournament late with like 20 minutes till closing and they were more than gracious to let us stay. Sever was awesome and really helpful. Food was really good. This was the first time I've been disappointed in food at a place that had 4.5 stars on Yelp. They didn't ask for a spice level, which is unusual for Thai. I ordered Pad Thai with beef and Garlic Pepper Chicken. Both were flavorless, and the meat was very tough and dry. The Garlic Pepper Chicken was not spicy at all, and it's usually a spicy dish. They did have signs saying they have the best wings in town, so maybe that is why they have such high ratings. But if you're looking for a place with good Thai food, this isn't it. read more

It appears that YELP did away with adding notes. I don't really want to rate this place seeing that we didn't eat...but damn...those prices?!? I realize you're isolated on the coast and protein can't be cheap out here and you're offering a cuisine that isn't common out here on the coast...but damn...those prices?!? Those are downtown Portland upscale restaurant prices. I'm not a cheap bastard and will gladly pay for quality when it's there but even I couldn't stomach $9 for 5 party wings. I just couldn't...throw in spring rolls for $5.50, $7.50 if you want shrimp...thai iced tea for $5...don't even get me started on the main courses. Furthermore, the fact that there were only two toppers (5 people total) and at least 6 employees who looked surprised when guests actually walked in the door @ 6:15 on a Saturday night...then you might consider letting a few employees go and dropping your prices. I don't like walking out of a restaurant without ordering but I had to do just that because seriously...I can't see myself paying those prices...maybe others will...hopefully...for your sake. I primarily want to warn people that the prices aren't what you would expect at any other Thai restaurant you've ever been in. I've never seen spring rolls and Thai iced tea at these prices. Hell...even at Fire on the Mountain or Pok Pok you won't find prices this high! At least Pok Pok will give you the whole wing! Since I can't post a 'note' I'm forced to leave a review, but I won't be so harsh as to leave one star...because I believe by this point, everyone realizes I didn't even eat here. It might help if the business posts 3 dollar signs so customers know this isn't just another Thai restaurant (especially given it's location at the end of a strip mall)...maybe next time I'm in the area, I'll feel like giving up my money for a chance at culinary greatness...but honestly...in the end, it's Thai Food and although I've never had 'terrible' Thai food...I've also never had 'exceptional' Thai food... Something I've just learned by accidental YELP search, the couple that runs this business started as a food cart under the same name in 2010...downtown Portland and moved to brick and mortar in 2014...it looks like they struggled with mediocrity (3 star average) and high prices (even in the Portland market) until they closed in late 2018. We love Thai food and this place didn't disappoint. The Tom Yum soup with chicken was excellent and you get enough to split. Plenty of chicken on board and really great flavor. We both ordered the Grilled Beef Salad. Again, we could have split one. The portions here are quite generous. Salad ingredients were very fresh and the the steak was not tender but not tough either. Spiciness was just right. Flavor was excellent. My wife ordered a Thai Iced Tea. Again...huge glass. You just get a lot of stuff here. We finished by sharing the sticky rice and mango. Rice was sweet and delicious offset by the sweetness of the mango and the tanginess of the citrus juice coating. I read an earlier review complaining of their prices. We didn't find them terribly over the top and again, you could save money by just splitting dishes. You won't leave hungry. As I mentioned in a previous review, Thursday night is karaoke night. Not our cup of tea. If it's yours, bop on in and find your inner Beyoncé. read more

Very excited to have this newcomer in the neighborhood. Right now, the rating should be 4.5 because the liquor license is pending, but I'm sure they will have that soon enough. We started with spring rolls and Tom Yum wings, the wings are delicious and I can't wait to come back and try one of the other varieties. The crispy springs rolls were fresh and perfectly cooked. Our entrees were khao soi and pad Thai both with beef. The khao soi was a rich curry with both cooked and crispy noodles with some interesting veggies and sliced beef. We both found the beef a bit tough, so next time, I'll try the chicken. Overall, service and food were really solid for a new restaurant. I suspect they will continue to improve and this might end up the best Thai on the northern Oregon coast read more

But, I digress, ... The food is amazing. Be aware they can bring the heat up to authentic Thai level so keep that in mind. The food was terrible & the customer service was worse. We were the only ones in the restaurant & that should have been a clue of what to expect. I sent the appetizer back because it was inedible. The waitress NEVER came back to our table after I asked that the appetizer be removed. Then the cook came out & said that appetizer was their best seller & basically chewed us out for not liking it. Had to walk up & ask for to go container for one dish we took with us. They never brought us a bill. We had to go find waitress to pay & they charged us for the inedible appetizer. This place serves some awesome Thai foods. I always complain about the fresh rolls in the states is the rice noodle inside the rolls. Noodles are cheap fillers and don't belong in the salad rolls in my opinion, and the rolls here don't have noodles. Tastes so fresh without noodles! Garlic wings were the second best wings I had in my dining experience. It's spicy, but you can tell all the flavors dancing in my mouth. Chili, garlic, scallions, carrots, vinegar and fish sauce. It was a delightful experience. I liked the place so much went back next day had ginger pork. Pork drenched in ginger sauce with hint of scallions was just perfect. My wife and I go down to cannon beach at least twice a year and I'm looking forward to my next visit. I may go down there for some great Thai home cooking meal. You guys rock read more

Ordered for pick-up yesterday early evening. Food was ready when we got there which was nice. Took our food home to veg out on the couch. The panang curry was great, delicious and full of flavor. The crab rangoon was was fried too long, and the crispy egg rolls seemed like that were out of a box. The sauce for both appetizer I believe you can buy at costco. Been here a bunch of times since they open mid December cause they are BOMB!!! I've been to Thailand and can say this place takes me right back. I'm determined to eat everything on the menu but so far I've enjoyed the fresh rolls, curry puff pies, tom kah soup (is fire!) Pad Kee mao is my current craving and their very traditional Khao soi is heavenly. Oh and the Thai Ice tea! Best I ever had and come is the most awesome glass. And last but not least by any means is the customer service the owners are so delightful and friendly.
