Back again for one of our favorite Thai restaurants. We were the only ones eating here for lunch on a Saturday. We tried an assortment of dishes - pad thai (yum), drunken noodle (good, but not as good as in past years), and khao soi (grandpa loved it). I definitely should've, because it would've influenced the way I ordered! Yellow Curry serves up their food authentically and this means the spice is SPICIN'. I went with a three star (which is my normal) and it was borderline too much. I was able to eat a good amount of it, but at the expense of my lips and taste buds. That said, it was still really delicious and the noodles of my pad thai had great flavor! Meat was also delicious and decent cuts. I'm glad that the other Thai place nearby was closed because we had some of the best and most flavorful Thai food we've had in a long time! We began w/ their soft rolls (spring rolls), which were delicious and then had the Pad Thai country w/ an amazing peanut sauce as well as the pineapple rice w/ chicken. I've never liked a restaurant and dining experience less. I picked this place out of the handful of Thai places in Seaside and that was a mistake because, on all levels, this place was awful. I felt uncomfortable in the restaurant with the slightly musty smell and the muggy, humid air. The bathroom had the paper towels on the tank of the toilet and was wasn't very clean. The worst part was the service and quantity of food for the price. I ordered the yellow curry with the 'vegetable' option. I asked if green peas could be added because I saw another curry dish on the menu that had them. Server said 'No, we don't have them.' I said 'that's ok" but then when the $15 curry came, it was the smallest curry bowl I've ever seen seen at a thai restaurant in my life, and had a broccoli piece spotted brown spoiled. There were only 3 pieces of potatoes and the flavor was just ok for a restaurant named 'Yellow Curry.' Again the portion was pathetic. The salad rolls were ok and the sauce was good except there was one tablespoon of it for 4 pieces of roll. I could have used some hot sauce but they didn't check on me the entire time and I was the only one there! $30 for ice tea, rolls and veggie curry. I didn't want to leave a tip but she presented me with the electronic device and I just wanted to get out of there so I picked one of the selections. The service, cleanliness and value for your money is severely lacking. I should have gone across the street to Thai Thai Fusion. This is such a cozy little place to eat some banging Thai food! The restaurant seats maybe 8 tables total (but you can call ahead and make a reservation). We instantly knew the food was going to be great when we saw a giant bag of Thai basil sitting out. We tried the Pad Thai (spicy), Yellow Curry, and the Garlic Supreme Stir Fry (spicy). We highly recommend the yellow curry -- yum! The food also came out super quick. You almost feel like you are in a bowl of curry with the sunshine yellow walls and the cute little cheugy decor sprinkled around. This vibe is perfect for a cold Pacific Northwest Day. The customer service was non-existent (I think that there was only one person working there), otherwise this place would be five stars! Yes for FOOD DIVERSITY. If you get tired of the chowder and fish and chips you should come here and eat some Thai food. We ordered the Spicy Basil Fried Rice and the Pad Sii-Ew (noodles). I was pleasantly surprised that both dishes were full of umami flavor. The Basil rice was packed with mushrooms, onions, bell peppers, basil and tofu (you choose your protein) with a nice kick from the spice. The Pad Sii-Ew was also nicely presented in the to-go box. Visited MLK day because our first choice Thai restaurant wasn't open. Unfortunately, the experience wasn't great. The restaurant itself was freezing cold- waitress had set up portable heater by the table but we were still cold. Ordered coconut shrimp appetizer. 5 shrimp for $10 seemed a bit expensive considering these looked suspiciously like the Costco version. At first I was a little worried, trying the only Thai restaurant in town where there doesn't seem to be a demand for Thai food from the tourists or locals. Not to worry, it was actually great. I was staying in the hotel right next door, so that made it an easy decision to give Yellow Curry a try. I went for lunch which starts at 11am. The place sure is bright and sunny with all the large glass windows. Yellow does seem to be the color theme inside. There's specials posted on chalk boards, so check that out. Browsing the menu, I see all the usual Thai suspects, colored curried, Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles (Pad Kee Mao), various stir fries of basil and chilies and coconut soup. One item that I saw, that I'd never seen before, was this dish called Pad Thai Country. It was described as regular Pad Thai, but with the meat cooked separate and served on top with a peanut sauce. That sounded interesting, and I'd never had Pad Thai served like that, so that's what I had. The lunch portion was just $11, sort of average these days for Thai lunches. The service was fine from the native English speaking server. The kitchen I could see getting backed up if the place was crowded, like on holiday weekends, as I think the kitchen is on the smaller side. The food doesn't suffer though, my dish came out in a reasonable amount of time. The presentation was very pretty hot out of the wok, and tasted really good too. I actually haven't had Pad Thai in a long time, but this version was done very well with the right flavors coming thru and with the addition of the provided lime juice, made this perfect. I did like the grilled chicken slices served with peanut sauce on top, it was sort of like getting two dishes in one. The portion wasn't huge, but good for a single person lunch. Portions do seem to be getting smaller at Thai restaurants these days, not like when they were as big as Chinese joints serving a big full plate of noodles. I'd return here again, especially if I was staying at the hotel right next door. I didn't have to drive anywhere while visiting Seaside! Cute little place right beside our hotel. We were delighted to see them open on Christmas Day since we were traveling from across the country. The food was authentic and perfectly spiced. The Red Curry shrimp had a smooth texture, perfectly cooked veggies, and tasty rice. The only complaint I have is the person size was smaller than expected, but was surprisingly what I needed. The server was pleasant and the food came out quickly. This is a must try spot if you enjoy Thai food. read more

This place is an amazing tasting restaurant! I come here once per year via the Seaside Volleyball tournament and it's a tradition to go here before bracket play. The last that owns this is a a chef from Thailand and has amazing dishes there. This time I got the Rom Kha soup with shrimp which Is her specialty.... It's amazing! The 3 people in my group also raves about there food as well- the salmon - which is a nice NW twist on Thai food.... I recommend any time you visit Seaside go here for dinner!
