This isn't the Pho you are looking for... We made a quick stop and ate here during one of our excursions to Seaside. The place has a divey feel to it. After reading all the bad reviews of the place we still decided to risk it and try it out. You Live Only Once/ YOLO right? The place is located right off of Broadway in beautiful Downtown Seaside. It is basically right near the little mall they have there. There is street side parking and also a parking lot in the back of the building with plenty of spaces. The tables/ seating are joined with the other smaller restaurants that share the building with Saigon Deli. There is also a bathroom around the back that is accessible. After placing our order we found a table and waited for our food. The pho had noodles, meatballs and meat. The broth was OK tasting, but there was not a whole lot of meat or other ingredients included (tripe, brisket etcetera). It did come with sprout, basil and lemon wedges as garnishes. The meat did not taste all that fresh and it looked like it was just thrown into the bowl with the broth instead of nicely spread out. With the cost of a bowl of Pho being around $10 there, I was not impressed with the Pho that we paid for. I wouldn't recommend the Pho here at all. The other dishes did look good from looking at the pictures. But, I would not order the Pho here again. While it is the only place around Seaside that serves pho you are not going to be happy with what is served.

I was in the mood for asian food I found this place on yelp and decided to check it out. I ordered a Chicken Pho soup and Iced Coffee and to go Vietnamese Sandwich for later. The Pho soup was really good! It definitely hit the spot and very tasty. It had fresh vegetables on the side to add to your soup bean sprouts, mint leaves, Cilantro and peppers. The coffee was great too!! I had my sandwich later on that day and I wish I ordered two!! It was very yummy. I will definitely come back here. I got the beef sandwich and it was very very tasty. Definitely check this place out!!

The girl at the counter didn't know what it means to smile to her customers. Unpleasant and short in her response. The food was not fresh due to low turnover inventory, but it makes sense when you don't think customer service matters- at least the vegetables were fresh, since they can't keep old vegetables. And, nothing came out hot, everything was luke warm. They closed the bathrooms, claiming it wasn't working and did not offered us another location. They spoke in Vietnamese regarding us not ordering anything yet, not sure if that's why they chained off the bathroom and not let us used it. They opened the chain when there were more customers. I hate to imagine if we were the only ones there, do we get to use the bathroom even if we were paid customers. They didn't realize that Oregon's A‑2 occupancy rules required at least ONE functional bathroom. I took video. There is no incentive to give customer service since they add 20% for service fees for group over 6 (or 5)..let this sink in a bit. Whether or not they provide service, they get 20% regardless. Our bill total was $375. If you come here expecting anything, don't! the meats tasted like freezer burn due to low turnover and the service doesn't exist. I came from a family that had a restaurant, we know that the customers are the backbone of a successful business, good food + good services = loyalist. We didn't leave because we had a large group to coordinate and we didn't want our 95yo mom to be hungry. We drove four hours to OR for a family get together to celebrate her birthday. Zero stars!

Over the years, I've brought friends and family here, talking it up enough that they're willing to make the journey with me. I always recommend the tofu vermicelli bowl. The fact that my tofu-skeptical father sang its praises after I made him try it is a testament to its flavor. I still think of it as the gold standard of tofu. I was recently in the area for the first time in 5 or 6 years and decided to go back to Vivi's with my mom. It was the first thing that popped into both of our minds-a real jinks moment. I was nervous that it wouldn't live up to our memory. Vivi's had moved around the corner from their old location-a cute, cozy little cafe-but their new restaurant is more spacious, hopefully to accommodate the flocks of diners that their food merits. I got the tofu vermicelli, which was exactly as I remembered, equally flavorful and generous in portion size for $15. My mom got the papaya salad for $5.50. I previously thought I didn't like papaya-I was mistaken. It was a unique and refreshing dish that I would 100% go back for. Vivi's food tastes fresh and nourishing and at the same time satisfying and rich. We were short on time and were prepared to have to take it to go, but our food was out in 10 minutes. I don't usually write reviews, but after so many great experiences over the years it felt long overdue. A small business that has maintained their quality at reasonable prices over the years deserves to be recognized with a recommendation. Give Vivi's a try!

Bonus points for being in walking distance of Next Level Pinball Museum. Meal came out quick with warning its very spicy (It wasn't that spicy but it had a decent kick compared to the usual dish I've had in the Portland Area!) Staff are friendly, soup was genuinely one of the best I've had in years, the Limade was also a killer and I recommend getting it to pair along with. All-in-all, was a fantastic place to contribute to my late birthday outing.
