I just learned about this restaurant and that it had only been open for 5 months or so. I wish someone would have told me sooner because I have been looking for great Asian food for a while, specifically fried rice. This restaurant has amazing food, great staff, fast service, and it is definitely a nice sit down restaurant for a date. I did take out last night for the chicken with papaya salad, spicy eggplant, and crispy spring rolls. I think this restaurant has huge potential but it was just ok for me. The spring rolls only had cabbage, carrot and noodles which means flavor- wise, it was on par with the bland cheap rolls you get with Chinese take out. They need to add some mushrooms and taro for this to be worth $7. They were crispy so they get props for that especially with take out. The roasted chicken was seasoned really well and the sauce was divine but the chicken was pretty dry/overcooked. The tamarind sauce it came with was excellent. The spicy eggplant with tofu was ok. I asked for medium heat and there was almost none so the flavor profile was just ok. The shining star of the meal was the papaya salad, which was on point and what I remember from my travel to Thailand. I asked for medium and it was hot! That's ok with me and I know it's hard to control because fresh chili varies in heat. Five stars here! I'm definitely going to try them again. Probably the curries and soups. read more

Thai cuisine is number one on my list and Thai Meric checked all the boxes for me. New restaurant alert located in Frederick, MD off of West Patrick Street on exit 13B. Our experience here deserves a five-star rating. First of, the decor of this newly opened business was simple but elegant. The customer service was exceptional! The owner Pimpisa and Oat take pride in their restaurant and you taste nothing but love in their dishes. For starters, I ordered the Curry Puff Pastry, Calamari, Chicken Satay, and Fire Cracker Shrimp. Penang Chicken and Pad Thai are my must haves for the main entrees and it did not disappoint. The flavors were perfect and the portions were massive. Lastly for dessert, I sampled the Pandan Toast with Kaya jam (green jam made out of pandan), Homemade Coconut Coffee Ice Cream, and Crispy Banana. I can't forget about the Thai Iced Tea, one of the best Thai Iced Tea I have ever had. The food was ridiculously delicious that I came back to get takeout for dinner. First at this establishment. We were welcomed the minute we walk in. Very nice decor - modern. Looks small from the outside, but it's a very large area. My husband ordered the kaprow krub w duck and wonton soup. It was very tasty and filling. It was served with white rice. Beware of the spice level. Medium level was pretty hot. I ordered the basil fried rice w tofu. This was also very tasty. The rice was mixed with red/green peppers, some greens and garlic. I will say the rice was a teeny bit oily. I did go pretty safe with my Pad Thai order, but the shrimp were MEGA and cooked beautifully! And while the portions are large, I was basically licking my plate clean! Had a few fried apps that I split with my friend who LOVES Thai food and tamarind flavor. Iced Thai coffee was perfectly balanced bitter spice cut with sweet and creamy. It came in a fancy, cute clear mug. The interior is very tasteful, though it looks like the bar has an unfinished quality to it. Tables were spread out and not overcrowded. Also, the menu online doesn't match the menu you get in the restaurant where there are more options. The descriptions were great though and now I am craving to go back there! read more

We were not happy with the slow service. Food was average and edible but if you were hungry for REAL Thai taste, look somewhere else. It was a slow Saturday night around 6 PM, but the service was so slow. There were few staff working and it was difficult for us to get their attention for service. For example, get additional water, deserts, utensil, and final check out. Food was ok and nothing to glorify about the taste either. All was overpriced especially for the Fredrick county, where this restaurant is located. Given the slow service, location, and average food, they automatic added 20% tip for party of more than six. We did not meet that requirements. That was a terrible way of running a business. We informed them that we did not agree to the process of automatically adding the tip. They agreed and removed the tip, however, we added to only the appropriate amount of tip they deserved. read more

Met up with some pals and wanted to try a new restaurant but not your typical ones in town! Found this highly recommended place online and from A LOT of word to mouth and WOW! I ordered the Kapow Krob (third pic) with the crispy pork belly! Holy Pig, i've been thinking about this since i had it, the sauce/ flavor that the heart shaped white rice soaked in YUM! Please check this place out their bar is still in the works but just the comfy ambience and the extremely friendly staff was enough. I called to see if there was anyway they could cancel my order, but it was too late. My order was packed and ready to be picked up. I explained to the restaurant the reason I couldn't make it. The next day I received an email saying they had canceled my order and refunded my card. The email was so sweet and polite. I am so appreciative of how wonderful and understanding they were.
