The Old Fashioned was prepared exactly right, especially with my request for lighter bitters since I do not enjoy it overly sweet. Many places miss that balance, but they nailed it here. The charcuterie board was easily one of the best I have had. The mozzarella and white cheddar were perfectly portioned, fresh, and rich. The green apple slices tasted incredibly fresh, like they had just been picked from the orchards of Apple Hill in California. The honeycomb was a first for me on a board and made the experience especially memorable. The artwork throughout the space also adds a unique character that I always appreciate in a restaurant. The prosciutto was a little tough but still had good flavor, while the Calabrese was spot on. Service was professional and attentive, with frequent check-ins throughout the evening. Both decent enough for what they were, the latter being helped by the fact it was only $3 a pint. For food, tried the newly opened Zaep Zaep Thai joint. Had the Thai Basil Combo Fried Rice and an order of Spring Rolls. Seriously good stuff! Unexpected quality for a food court! The chef (owner?) also came into the bar to check to see if our food was to our liking. Definitely a nice touch and I wish him much success. Olivia's Scratch Kitchen serving African cuisine was the only other option open. Was a tough decision and hopefully will be back soon to try their offerings! There was also a cupcake place (Kid Kakes) that seems to get great reviews, but with Oak St Pie Company just a few doors down... well... sorry Kid Kakes! At only 20 years old, the bartender did a great job serving us and was more genuinely personable than many who have done the similar job for years. We started with the hand rolls, the Masu Tartare and Toro Tartare and both were delicious. I personally loved the Masu more, but you really can't go wrong with either. We also ordered calamari, which arrived a bit later. It was okay, nothing spectacular, not as crispy as I hoped but the rest of the meal more than made up for it. For sushi, I had the Spicy Atlantic Salmon and the Kani Koi. I absolutely loved the Spicy Atlantic Salmon...it was definitely a favorite but my fiancé preferred the Kanikoi, so everyone wins. We also tried the Kamasu - Barracuda, which was just as delicious. Overall, everything was perfect, and I can't wait to come back to try more hand rolls and a few other dishes.

I base sushi restaurants off of these 1 simple rolls. It was good, but for the price... Prices- very high. The simple rolls were much higher than my normal sushi spot (almost 50% higher), & the rest of the menu was well over $20+ & up! I'm way too frugal to be a sushi connoisseur Service- it was great. Eric did a great job, very friendly, & kept my water filled up. The host was very friendly as well (forgot his name, had a cast on his hand), & as well as the woman who told me they no longer served the açaí bowls Environment- very upscale. Definitely would be a hopping place to go in the evenings. It's a dark restaurant, so it's got great ambience, but I could see it being a loud place as well for something that is as fancy as it is. You are able to enjoy the experience at your own pace. The food options are also savory & delicious. Some of my favorite small bites include the Pepperoni Pizza, Truffle Fries, Lobster Shooters and Potstickers. Not only is Social Oak beautiful & cozy on the inside but their Staff are extremely helpful, kind & attentive. (That's the one without the unbleached enriched white flour American products use.) The house red is Dark Horse cab. Jordan was my server. I loved her service, knowledge, and laid back professionalism. Her hair is gorgeous: long and black. She recognized me as soon as I walked in, despite being otherwise preoccupied. I appreciated that. While the inside is low-lighting, the ceilings are extremely high. There are several TVs tuned to sports. While there is a small patio out front along the street, the better one is the larger, covered patio (door found near the bar). There's a patio indoor/outdoor wooden Barton counter that is encompassed by the bar with raised windows on good weather days. There's plenty of tables on this back patio as well.
