I will definitely return to Thai Nigiri. We ordered Shrimp in a Blanket, Tom Yum Soup and an Alaska Roll for a late night snack whilst walking downtown one night. Shrimp in a Blanket is a springroll-type rendition of Pigs in a Blanket and might be fun for the kids in your group. I ordered the Tom Yum soup and found the ingredients to be proportionate with fresh chicken and vegetables complimenting a strong lemongrass scent. I would make this a must-have recommendation for anyone in your group who likes spicy food. Finally, an order of the Alaska Roll: masterfully done. A tightly wrapped sushi with evenly sliced bites that stand up straight will impress even the seasoned sushi fan. The salmon was of a good cut, still cold to the bite and the slice of lemon really brightened up an old favorite. Service was delightful and ready to provide chopsticks but management should heed this note: If it weren't for the masterful sushi chef, I would have voted 3/5 because the waitress was out for a smoke break whilst we were waiting for our credit card to be picked up. read more

we come here fairly often for lunch and dinner. sushi is decent though there are better places for that even in this small town but pricing is fair. thai is good, starters are yummy, service is good. quality seems consistent. nothing to wow here but reliable place for good food. Avoid. Gloppy, flavorless sauce on the Pad Thai and Rama. Little if any meat on the items--and we ordered chicken & beef. My buddy felt queasy during the night after eating here. A whiff of air from the kitchen smelled like old fish. read more

The dinner was very expensive for the amount of food. It was not as good as last year and we all left slightly hungry. Not as fresh as it could be. I do not like paying over $20 for two small sushi rolls, two bites of appetizers and nothing else. read more

This place is AMAZING! I've only had the Thai food, but I used to live in Seattle, so I have high standards for Thai food! The Ginger Delight is fantastic. In my opinion this is the best Thai place in Sandpoint- I just hardly ever go because they close for several hours between lunch and dinner (which is when I can go). My only other complaint is that they do not serve fresh (non-fried) spring rolls. However, everything I have ever ordered here is wonderful and made with quality ingredients. Great atmosphere too. I usually don't pay attention to negative ads unless they dominate the reviews. However, I highly recommend anyone reading these reviews to pay attention to the Negative Ones. We read the positive reviews and tried them for our Pre-Valentines Day Dinner. In short, the worst service we have ever experienced at a restaurant!! We walked in and it said please wait to be seated. We stood there 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Then once seated, we sat another 25 minutes with no acknowledgment what so ever. No water. No request for drinks. No are you ready to order. Nothing. I watched them walk by our table multiple times. I watched them sit behind the register counter all gabbing. I watched the owner pull waitresses aside to talk to them. We just sat there. We were ready to leave when finally a waitress came over but not ours. She said your waitress is very busy, I will take your order. Our waitress was just standing behind the counter. We placed order - Appetiser, 2 sushi roll, Thai Noodle Dish and Iced Teas. The appetizer was good but way overpriced for what you received. Then we received the Thai Noodle Dish, before the Sushi Rolls, which was odd. It was good. The waitress never came by the table to refill our Iced Teas or water. We had to flag her down. Then she came over and asked if we wanted anything else or the check. I replied YEAH our Sushi?? She looked puzzled. Then said I'm sorry they must have missed that. We almost said forget it but were still hungry. Once we received they were average. Nothing special. Then she brought check, never asked again if we wanted anything else or dessert. Not that we would have. Never in my life have I never left a tip. This was a first. It was a ridiculous experience and ruined our Valentine's Day Dinner. Avoid!! Much better options. If you want Sushi, go to Syringa in Coeur D Alene. Best in the entire area bar none. Although friendly, very neglectful service. We were seated immediately but took 20 minutes for server to take our order. Did not ask us about a beverage and did not bring us water. Asked for water about 30 minutes later from another server passing by but he did not return. About 50 minutes after ordering we got our rolls (good) and Thai rice (meh), but no miso soup and no appie (came with rice order as lunch specials) or our edamame order. We asked for our water again and did get that finally. And asked about the edamame, which she then went to get. When ringing our bill I asked about the miso soup and then was told they had been out for a bit, and out of bowls too, so we were "lost". But not sure why no one could stop by and let us know despite sitting next to kitchen doors with an empty table for almost an hour? She did then comp our edamame, so yes, nice. But ignoring a table for an hour is just bad form. read more
