I spent many years in Asia, frequently visited Thailand, and never got those one-dimensional, hot but uninteresting dried chili flakes dumped into food to make it "spicy." That happened yesterday, converted what should have been delicious to an endurance test. How DOES one communicate that the way it's done back home is the way we want it? Didn't even get to try the food. A woman with long bleach blond hair seated us and then seated another party of 4 right across from us. I made eye contact with her after I laid out menus on the edge of the table to signal we were ready when she was. Wasn't sure if anyone was helping her but everyone seemed to have already got their food and was eating. She walked up and turned her back on us and began taking the order of the family next to us when we had been there for 10 minutes at that point. We just felt disrespected, and in this 100° + weather all we wanted was to sit inside a cool building and enjoy some delicious pad Thai and pad see ew. Massamum Curry-EXCELLENT! I was in the mood for noodles but something told me to go for the curry. Trust the gut. So I got 4 out of 5 star for hotness I was impressed with spice blend with the peanuts and carrots. Some my like it more coconutty-but this was perfect for me. The bonus-yellow Yukon gold potatoes. Creamy, soft and firm. The kept their shape when cut with a soon so their flavor was not lost in the rice-Genesis. oh man.. I was really excited to try this place after reading all the reviews.. some of their appetizers like their papaya salad and Chicken stay was actually delicious... But... Their main dishes -- pad Thai , pad kee Mao (my ultimate test at any Thai restaurant) they failed me.. we ordered spicy and when the dishes came out, both dishes were colorless... Just looked plain and not appetizing at all. And taste was pretty bland as well.. we ended up taking all of our left overs to go because we only took about 2 bites.. My friend recommended this place, as it is her go to in the area. This was my first time ordering it, I got Mild Pad Thai with chicken. Usually when I order mild, it has a little bit of a zesty tang to it, but this was bland and practically had no taste. I felt like the chicken wasn't seasoned and the plate just had no flavor. I was disappointed because it had good reviews. I will try this place out again, as I've heard great things about them and don't wanna form a permanent opinion by just having one dish. If you do go there, I suggest to order medium spice with your meal, so then you can have some flavor in the noodles. read more

Came back a second time on Friday night, they were very busy, able to get in quickly and sit down and eat, food was very good but not as top notch as a few days ago, but still very good. I've been a regular here for 2 and a half years and most of the servers know me by now. I eat plant based so Thai food is a great option since there's always vegan options available. Their happy hour here is very affordable and they don't skimp you portion wise either. The happy hour has a $5 pad thai which is awesome, but you have to order a drink to eat off the happy hour menu. Very understandable though because you'd go out a business selling $5 pad thai. Their soups and curries are also great. My personal favorite is the Tom Ka soup and the Red Curry. The servers work together as a team great. They get a busy dinner rush some nights and being a server for 4 years myself I know when a place is understaffed. The servers work without a host, poor their own drinks and have no busser. Sometimes they're only 2-3 servers with a full house. Respect what they can do during these rushes and know that they're working their asses off. read more

Ordered here for the first and last time. We were excited to try a new place with good ratings Ordered beef pad kee mao, beef Thai fried rice and a tofu pad kee mao. Was really turned off by the ground beef they used instead of sliced beef. It felt very Hamburger-Helper-ish. The beef pad kee mao was too salty while the tofu pad kee mao was bland. The noodles in both were overcooked. Also, I ordered both pad kee mao as mild, expecting a little spiciness but there was no spice. Shouldn't that be an option of "no spice" vs mild? Not sure if they were having an off day or what but my family didn't like it enough to want to give it a try again in the future. Don't see why they have such high reviews. ‍ Looking through other reviews, I see many others had issues with their pad kee mao being overcooked and bland with zero spice when they ordered mild. All the poor reviews have the owner replying and insisting the experience isn't their normal but it sounds like it is. read more

I've been a regular customer of this specific place for years, placing at least one 3-4 person order per month. I never left a review before because the food has been OK, but not exceptional. And they had a habit of making mistakes on about one in three orders. That and they gave my take-out order to someone else, twice. Today is the last time I will go there. To be fair, three out of the four to-go meals ordered today were just fine. Mine, of course, was the exception. I ordered a full order of yellow curry chicken and a double order of rice. What did I get? A curry order half the usual size, a single order of rice, and a rice turd. What, you may ask, is a rice turd? Well, apparently it's how they fill out an order for two portions of rice. It's a wad of compressed rice, wrapped in plastic wrap, then covered in tin foil. It is so compressed that I can't even make out the individual grains of rice. If you drop $55 bucks on a to-go order for four, you expect something that looks like it was perhaps cooked on the same day. Beaverton area residents should consider Kaow Thai, about a mile away. They are a bit slower on prep time, but you get what you order and it doesn't look like last Thursday's fridge rejects. read more

We came here for lunch on a friday. When we arrived we were greeted and sat quickly. We got the khao sauy and the hot and sour noodle soup. Definitely not a Thai restaurant that makes their stuff spicy so if you're looking for spicy thai food this would not be the place to go. But their hot and sour soup was super flavorful. It was super sour just the way I like it, the only thing was that it wasn't spicy even though it said it's suppose to be in a spicy broth. They do have spice on the side you can ask for though I loved the pickled jalapenos. The khao sauy came out looking amazing. The broth was super creamy and it was super flavorful as well. Our meal was super quick and the restaurant filled up all the way by the time we left but our service was great. This is my first order from Thai Noodle and I can honestly say it will not be my last. Normally I like to focus on the positive so, per my norm, let's start with what they got right. 1. Easy online ordering and payment for takeout. 2. Loved that they sent me a text message letting me know when my order would be ready. 3. I absolutely LOVE spicy food and their regular spicy gave me the same lovely burn I only find when ordering extra extra spicy at most places. These people are not afraid of heat and I appreciate that. Spicy pineapple fried rice. 4. When picking up my order the employees were wearing masks or face shields and observing social distancing. 5. They threw in a surprise order of salad rolls free of charge. And let's be honest who doesn't enjoy a free food item, right? And to top it off they were delightful. The texture of the crunchy vegetables offset by the noodles and rice paper wrapper combined with the flavor was spot on. 6. Followed my special instructions to perfection. Extra sauce and no peas. Never found a Thai place that will honor the no peas request in fried rice. 7. For $16 there was enough food for 2 dinners and 1 lunch tomorrow. Now the not so great. 1. The fried tofu was pretty standard. Not epic but nothing to rave about. The sauce was its saving grace. 2. The menu is not mobile phone friendly. Very small and when enlarged it was a bit frustrating to have to scroll up, down, left, right. Not a deal breaker for me just an observation. Don't be fooled with the fact that there's a weird etc in it's name, thai noodle is actually a super yummy thai place! I've gone here a few times now, and I have been consistently pleased with their food. I always order a large tum yum gum with chicken to share with my boyfriend. It comes out in this donut shaped bowl with fire in the center--very cool looking, however for practical reasons its difficult to serve soup out of. The first two times I ordered this soup it was super flavorful, however there were many little pieces of inedible herbs and such which made the soup a bit "dangerous" to eat. However, during my most recent visit, the soup seemed to be substantially less flavorful but there were no inedible pieces. Perhaps they changed the recipe to take those things out? If you come during happy hour, all appetizers are half off! For their apps I have tried the chicken satay and calamari, both were yummy. The calamari comes with a delicious sweet and sour sauce, and the satay comes with peanut sauce. You get five skewers for the chicken satay even when it is half off! For entrees I have tried the pad see ew with beef--I think it is only okay, but my boyfriend absolutely loves it. Their yellow curry is really good, as is there many different stir-fries. Service if fine, but I often have to prompt my server to refill my drinks (which is a pet peeve of mine). read more

I seem to always forget about this place, maybe because it's tucked away from the main traffic in the Cedar Hills shopping area? Well, be that as it may, this is where to go when you need a Thai fix (on the west side, that is)! The Green Curry with chicken was my main dish for lunch. I munched on some salad rolls as a nice starter to my meal. The curry was sensational. It was cooked with coconut milk, roasted eggplant, and bell pepper. Sad to say, I wish there were leftovers but I licked my plate clean and finished the entire meal. The plum-peanut sauce, served with the salad rolls, was equally delicious - make sure you get this. What I loved more than anything was that it took no time for me to get my food. Service was fast and very friendly. They have outdoor seating, which is a treat on a day like this! I came here three times with my boyfriend because I really liked their Boat Noodle Soup and my boyfriend liked their Thai Fried Rice. The servers were never attentive to begin with and always acted like they were doing something extra when we asked for no green onions or for a certain protein to be removed. Food was ok but Horrible service!!! We were there during happy hour around 4ish not very busy at all. First of all we're waiting around 10-15 min for someone to take our order, they skip us and taking ordered for other party first because they knowing each other. Finally a guy stop by and take our order with his angry face. I got my noodle soup and it was just warm not hot at all (should have sent back for a microwave) my boyfriend waited for at least 15 min to get his dish and I'm almost finish. And it's happened the same thing with table next to us. This is very unprofessional, the guy that took our orders very rude he's slammed food on a table, never said what he is serving us and he never check back on us, seem like he's very unhappy to work there. My roommate and I are on a mission to try every Thai food restaurant we can. I am new to Thai Food and totally obsessed. This restaurant unfortunately did not impress me that much. I ordered the red curry chicken, calamari, and coconut shrimp. The coconut shrimp was amazing the calamari had no taste whatsoever but it was cooked perfectly and the red curry chicken was lacking in the chicken I don't know if they forgot to put it in or they just put a minimal amount in but overall unfortunately I just was not impressed.
