This Thai restaurant is very authentic. One of the easiest way to tell is that they play Thai techno music in the background. Beef boat noodles were good, with a variety of toppings; the beef balls were very bouncy. It was slightly spicy. The portion of noodles itself was small though. Guay jab was the better of the 2 dishes (though both were good). The crispy fried pork was very tasty. The soup had a good herbal taste & was a touch salty. The noodles were a bit off though: not the flat broad sheets but normal rice noodles. Black diamond boba Thai iced tea used jelly (not boba). The tea was good but it was not mixed properly & there was too much ice.

I enjoy eating Thai food a lot and I found this place after I finished a chiro session and wanted to treat myself. I was seated immediately as there was no one in the store. I ordered pad kee mao and waited for my food and while I waited, I noticed that the waiter kind of stiffened because another customer came in. I could tell the customer was also new to this restaurant (like I was) and I felt like the waiter was really rude to the customer. He was giving the customer attitude when it was unnecessary, he was standing there just staring at the customer while he was deciding to order. When the food came, it looked really good but I found it a bit too oily from me (from looking at how glossy the noodles were). While I was almost finished with my meal, the waiter just decided to leave???? Like he just walked out of the store without telling the customers anything. I didn't know what to do but there was someone by the cash dealing with something and so I walked up to him and paid for my food. Definitely an odd experience & I do not think I'd return.

Really enjoyed the flavorful food and the wonderful service! Got the curry pad Thai noodles and beef panang curry! Very delicious!! The quantity is genero and very filling.

Love their noodles. I ordered 2 types of noodles Pad See Ew and Pad Thai very very Delicious. The papaya salad I was not a big fan of it was to sweet and not enough salty in it. The spring rolls were so fresh and crispy very delicious. Overall I would recommend trying their noodles and spring rolls

Chicken and Shrimp Curry Pad Thai (takeout).

Wide range of options for both food and drinks (e.g., they have many kinds of teas including Thai iced tea). Tasty food.

Came here for lunch and tried the thom Kua soup and tofu veggie fresh spring rolls. Enjoyed both of them and the people are also nice. Prices are decent. I'll have to come back and try their pad Thai.

Curry puff. These are $6.00!!! So damn expensive! Not worth having to pay $2 each for just 3 small pieces..

Real tasty, some dishes are ridiculously high priced but other than that it was yummy. Wish I had known about this place before, now I'm moving away.

Thai Noodle Guay Tiew Thai 62 Vaughan Road Toronto, ON 416-652-0200 Once called Taste of Thai House, the space at 62 Vaughan Road at the intersection of Vaughan Road and St. Clair Avenue West, is now Thai Noodle. From the on-line reviews on-line, the renovations occurred early in November of 2013 when it was still Taste of Thai House. So some questions arise... Is the new Thai Noodle owned by the same owners of Thai House? Is this Thai Noodle Guay Tiew Thai related to the one of the same name that closed recently on Baldwin in Kensington Market? The Urban Foodie does not have a concrete answer but decided to check out the new Thai Noodle. One of the dishes that were ordered was the Home Style Pad Thai ($11.99). It is on the sweet side but not as sweet as the Pad Thai offered at the often lauded Sukho Thai. It comes with the standard Pad Thai ingredients such as peanuts, been sprouts, tofu and green onions. On top were two jumbo shrimp. Tiny dried shrimp, not a usual ingredient, were a welcome addition scattered throughout. The salty dried shrimp cut through the sweetness. The Pad Thai was small in quantity Beef Khao Soi ($11.99) was also ordered. Northern Thai Khao Soi is a dish that contains fried and boiled egg noodles in a curry-like sauce containing coconut milk. This particular preparation also had red onions and pickled mustard greens. Artistically speaking, the fried noodles could have been stacked higher. The friend noodles were also way too salty. The curry was rich however and infused the tender beef pieces with flavour. Some of the beef pieces had a gelatinous, cartilage layer which just made the beef even better (if you like that kind of thing). It was surprising that the Chicken Panaeng Curry ($10.99) did not come with any rice. But it was definitely the best dish of the night. The curry was rich and thick. It was aromatic with excellent peanut flavour. The Jasmine rice ($1.99) that was ordered was creatively served in a star shaped format. While there were hits and misses, a trip to Thai Noodle can be warranted for a casual night out.

The restaurant has a lot of smaller tables, making it feel cozy, and the service was super friendly. I ordered the dry boat noodles with egg noodles and they were so good. The side of broth was absolutely amazing and honestly one of the best parts of the meal. Rich, flavorful, and so comforting. I kept alternating between bites of noodles and sips of broth. There was chili oil on the table, and I definitely got a little carried away. It was seriously spicy, but somehow I couldn't stop eating. My mouth was on fire, but every bite made me want another. Even after leaving, I kept thinking about those noodles. I also liked that there are several noodle options to choose from depending on what texture you're craving. Between the delicious food, great broth, and kind service, this is definitely a spot I'd come back to again.

I went during the summer, and there was no air conditioning so it was pretty hot inside. However, the food was amazing. For the beef noodles, the meat was tender. The soup is rich and authentic, with the perfect balance of spice; however the portion was a bit small. I also tried the fried dumplings, it's flavorful, but the skin was a bit thick. The Thai tea was average, a little bit too sweet for me. Overall, I still like this restaurant, and will definitely come back again.

The tapioca dumplings are unlike anything I've tasted before. They serve it with a side of lettuce, mint and peanuts. I liked the dumplings better without the sides they served! The lettuce and other add ons dim the flavors of the dumplings. So I prefer just eating the dumplings straight on. The Messemen curry was so flavorful and the beef was so tender! I'm a big fan. If you're a fan of Thai curries then you'll definitely like this! The Mango purple sticky rice dessert was also really tasty! It had a tasty coconut sorbet and it all went really well together. Unfortunately, the day took an unexpected turn when I had to go to the hospital, and for a while I thought I wouldn't make it at all. As a testament to both the kindness of my friends and the exceptional staff at Lao Lao, they were able to accommodate us even though I arrived nearly two hours late on a busy Saturday evening. Originally, our table was only reserved until 8:00 p.m.--the exact time I finally arrived. Thankfully, with the help of our incredible server, Savanna N., everything worked out. Her professionalism, warmth, and willingness to help truly made the evening possible. More than anything, I hoped the wait would be worthwhile for my friends, who were visiting for the first time. I'm happy to say they absolutely loved it--especially the outstanding hospitality and customer service. A huge thank you to Savanna and the entire team for making us feel so welcome. As for the food, every dish was delicious. Nothing disappointed. The papaya salad was such a hit that we ordered it twice. The Beef Massaman Curry, Crispy Lao Spiced Chips, Banana Leaf Steamed Fish, and the seasonal Vermicelli Noodle in Chicken Coconut Red Curry were all exceptional. Although it had been about a year since my last visit, I was delighted to see that Lao Lao remains consistently excellent in its food, quality, and service. Bravo!

The only issue I had which made me knock off a star is that the glass and silverware had an odd scent, like the smell your glasses have if there's food stuck in your dishwasher filter -- if you know that scent you know what I mean. Just smelled funky and honestly the smell was ruining the taste (smell and taste are so closely linked) so I drank out of my own water bottle I had brought and grabbed a plastic fork to eat with which did solve the issue but still...less than ideal
