Ordered online and paid with paypal which is linked to my CC. Showed up to the restaurant and there was no food. They said they had problems with their system and they were not getting their online orders for the past 2 days. We asked for a refund. They said they didn't know how to refund us and we had to dispute the charge with either the CC company or paypal. So you left your site up for days knowing it didn't work and still accepted orders and now you claim you have no way of refunding people...? You guys are lucky I don't report you to the BBB. I ordered for delivery through Uber eat. My order arrived on time the foods still hot we ordered 2 items. One spicy chicken wings and Pad Thai , the chickens wings did not clean properly and they were not in the good shape at all. We were not even wanna try them. The next one was Pad Thai with pork , tasteless and pork was over cooked and very hard . We ended up with threw all the foods away ! I hesitate to write this review because the team at Thai One On was incredibly attentive when we walked in and served us well the entire time. My party and I ordered Thai tea, yellow curry, red curry, and brown rice. It tasted phenomenal, but for some reason we felt ill afterwards. I'm not certain if it was the tea or the curry, but we haven't been back since for fear of getting sick. Lovely place though! read more

If you're feeling especially adventurous & it's available, order the chef's menu & find yourself constantly surprised & marveling over each course they send your way--so special you generally can't even find the creations on the regular menu. Just sit back, relax & prepare to be blown away. John Adams & Chef Quindere have the sushi speakeasy running like a well-oiled machine within an already terrific Thai restaurant. This is a hidden gem in this part of Carlsbad. I saw an ad for this place in either FB or IG and drew me and my husband for a dinner date night at "TOO" Sushi, as it was advertised. Just to clarify, it is a Thai restaurant, that serves sushi and sake. The sushi menu is small, but their rolls are not bad at all. I'm usually skeptical of sushi being served or mixed with other non-Japanese dishes, but this place did it right. Not only was the roll we had, more than decent, but our Thai noodle dishes tasted close to authentic (and yes, I'm picky on how both my sushi and Thai dishes are made, so this is saying something about this place). Overall, our dinner experience was great, as our server was very attentive. The restaurant is a little small inside, but they do have a wine and sushi bar, as well as ample patio seating outside. The only reason why I'm giving it one less star, is for the one TV monitor that played Christian infomercials during our whole dinner. Nothing against religion, but it was awkward while at dinner. There were two other TVs playing NCAA basketball so eventually we ignored the infomercial TV. And, maybe they'll expand their sushi menu one day. But overall, 4-stars for TOO! read more

The food is always fantastic. I placed an order to-go which included won ton soup with vegetables and it was tasty and exactly what I expected. The green curry with eggplant, bamboo shoots and peppers was excellent. I love their glass noodles with vegetables which I order every time! The only suggestion is that they wrap the soup to-go container in plastic when preparing their to-go orders. When I got home I lifted the paper bag containing the food, which was sitting on the front seat of my car, and since the soup leaked in the paper bag the food fell through the broken bag. Ok so I have been here many times, even post pandemic, but something happened tonight that was frustrating enough to write a Yelp post about it. I placed an order for pickup via Grubhub for a single order of tofu pad thai and was told to pick it up between 7:10 and 7:20. I walk in at 7:10 and there were about 5 other people waiting on orders. There were 2 bags sitting by the bartender/greeter and I thought one might be mine. But, I didn't want to overstep, so I told them my name and that I placed an order on Grubhub. She told me she would be with in a bit. The manager proceeds to come tell all of us waiting for orders to wait outside and they would call our names when they were ready (I don't have issues with that at all, I actually appreciate the thought of staying safe). Anyways, I stood there for 10 more minutes (it's 7:20 at this point) waiting for my food. Finally, the manager comes out and asks me my order information again. Go figure, one of the bags that was by the bartender/greeter at the front was my order. It was ready to be picked up at 7:10PM. In addition to that frustration, as I was waiting for my food, I watched the man making the sushi (mask pulled down and not covering his face at all) taking nibbles of some food as he was making the sushi. No gloves and fingers going from mouth directly to food. Incredibly negligent in my opinion considering this time we are living in. I gave them 2 stars because my tofu pad thai was still delicious (even warm considering it sat for 10 minutes before I got to pick it up). But, I can't guarantee I'll be ordering from them again in the near future. read more

I've been getting Thai One On takeout for a couple of years and love their food. I've tried a few different dishes and they are all very good. I'm writing this review because of how great their service is. Last night I ordered through Door Dash. Door Dash brought me the wrong order. I called the restaurant and they let me know they would talk with Door Dash to figure it out. Of course, Door Dash basically said "screw you we cant help". The manager of Thai One On called me back about 15 mins later and asked for my address. She then delivered my order herself. These people are so great and I will continue to be a regular customer for a long time! read more

We just had (more like trashed) the worst thai food I've ever had. I ordered larb, chicken sate, and two kinds of soup. The sate was more like big chunks of dog chews on a stick, tough overcooked chicken, the vegetable soup consisted of a bunch of raw vegetables in a muddy looking broth, the larb tasted like boiled minced leftover chicken. The worst part is shortly after having a few bites of the larb my house guest got sick to her stomach which makes us wonder if it had bacterial contamination and now praying that I don't get sick in the middle of the night. DO NOT EAT HERE. Our family had gone here a couple times before but it's has progressively gone down hill. During COVID-19 the manager was sitting at the bar where the food it put out WITHOUT A MASK. Meanwhile the Owner was talking to him, and not only did he not say anything, but he was cursing and using fowl language in front of customers. In terms of the food, they skimp you on portions and don't quality check the food. We got rice to go and they only filled up the boxes HALFWAY. Further, we got the beef skewers appetizer and they literally gave us charred beef skewers that were COMPLETELY RAW! It didn't even look like the cook had put the skewers on the grill for more than 30 seconds. Finally, the food was flavorless and the to go container was only filled 3/4 of the way. We enjoy the drunken noodle and pad Thai and order them regularly here. The masaman curry with mock duck is nice too. The veggie spring rolls are crispy but bland. BUT: we decided to try the thaI beef salad this time (which we enjoy elsewhere). the beef was very tough, the tomatoes were overripe, and instead of being lime infused, the dish was too salty. The food was great, however what I was truly blown away by was care and thoughtfulness that went into packing the order for delivery. All of the hot items were packaged tightly together so they stayed hot through the delivery process. The cold items were packed in their own bag with the ice cream at the bottom packed on ice in a waterproof bag. No other restaurant has done that. The ice cream did not melt at all. read more

I was really impressed with the food here. They use really fresh ingredients, generous portions and the food is consistently good. I had the green curry with vegetables and the spicy eggplant. The vegetarian fresh spring rolls are delicious. They take extra care for vegetarians to ensure that all ingredients and sauces are vegetarian. That can be tricky at Thai restaurants.
