The dishes I have tried were the BBQ Pork Ribs, Crispy Duck, and Seafood Soup. For the BBQ Pork Ribs, I got 3 pieces of 2 attached pork ribs over shrimp fried rice with a side of sauce. The ribs were tender but some parts were chewy, still very good. Definitely mix it with the sauce! The food is wonderful and reasonably priced. It is also the only Thai restaurant which serves my favorite dish, Nam Sod, a ground pork salad that is delicious. The chicken satay was a big portion, it was not bad at all, I've tried better. I also tried the Tom Kha, it was good. I like their Thai ice tea. They made it just right, refreshing! The place is also big, and has comfortable seats. Staff are fast in taking orders, and always checking on your table. I should have read the reviews before I ordered so I could have gone with S8. Anyway, had S4 and it was good! I haven't had duck for a long time and it was cooked well. The serving was huge so I took half of it home and the dish tasted even better the following day. Shrimp fried rice was okay, although expected more shrimps and more flavor. My mom's friend ordered pad thai and it was bomb, probably the star dish of the night. My complaint is more on the waitress who was at the reception. She'd answer phone calls and stop talking to you mid-sentence despite people waiting by the door (on a very cold night) and was just rude that you feel rushed as soon as you get in. read more

Had an impromptu get together at home for my birthday because Plan A was ruined due to weather. After trying to make last minute reservations for a group of 17 failed, I thought passing on the address and have the party show up at Thai BBQ, which after checking Yelp and seeing the delivery option, we decided to just have it delivered! The experience was great! After placing the order, the estimated time to delivery was pushed out an additional 30 mins, which I was very understanding of because it was a big 17 item order. Giving high marks not only for the great taste of everything from the S1, S2, S8, Pad Thai, and Drunken Noodles, but also for the accuracy and providing all the condiments as well! We received plenty of utensils, napkins, sauces, etc! We had plenty of leftovers and as always, Thai BBQ leftovers are the best. We have been going to this restaurant for years because the food usually is very good, occasionally it's been average. But what has consistently been the same is the poor service. This past Sunday was our last time going, it's ridiculous how there is hardly any service, you call out to your waitress because you need something and they just keep walking by. We were a large party of 15 on a Sunday afternoon and were seated pretty quickly upon arrival. Our side of the table ordered the crab appetizer, S-1 BBQ chicken, S-8 beef satay, chicken curry, chicken fried rice, four Thai iced teas, and a Thai iced coffee. There was plenty of food for the six of us with leftovers to take home. The bbq was juicy and cooked perfectly while the beef satay was well-flavored and generously portioned. The chicken curry was almost too spicy for the teens to enjoy so we took it home for late night parental eats. With tip and tax our portion of the bill was $86. Nice! Thai Original BBQ continues to provide great food, service, and an overall excellent dining experience, all of which explains their loyal following. Honestly love the food here, my family and I usually get the S1 which is their BBQ chicken and rice, its so good! However, the reason why I gave a 3 star rating was due to their customer service. I get that the restaurant gets REALLY busy, but when I tried to make a phone order, every time I tried ordering the lady who was working would pick up the phone, and hang up once I asked to order for take-out. This happened multiple times, and she would place me on hold but then hang up.. it really didn't make any sense. Luckily after calling 10 times... it was literally 10 times, I have the screenshots to prove it, I was able to talk with her and order. I thought I would have a better experience after this, however when I went to pick up the food, it just got worse. They now have 2 separate places to place an order (towards the front of the store) and to pick up/ pay for phone or take-out orders (towards the back of the store). However, this was very confusing because of unclear signs of where to go. The other customers picking up food were also confused on where to go but luckily we all our way towards the back of the store. My go-to" is usually either the S1 (Bbq chicken with shrimp fried rice) or S2 (spareribs with shrimp fried rice). This visit in particular was the S2 and it was awesome as per usual. The portion sizes are great and enough for 2, but I usually end up ordering a side of fried rice without shrimp to go. We also got drunken noodles which I have never tried before but glad we ordered it. I don't know if it was the mint or jalapeño but it had a fresh flavor to it. I would order again.
