This place is so good! First time here tonight. We took a chance on some of our favorites and we were not disappointed. Chicken Satay-delicious, the peanut sauce and cucumber salad are very tasty. I go to this place probably five times a month. So, a couple weeks ago I go and I get HORRIBLE service. Some folks they know are there and they are all catering to them. No big problem but it was bad service, so I didn't leave my normal 30% tip. Next week I go eat there and the waitress comes over and tells me "last week you didn't leave me a tip, make sure you leave tip this time." Talk about uncomfortable. Came here on a Saturday night with a large group and it was pretty quiet, so there wasn't any wait for a table. I ordered the pad see ew and the waiter didn't ask me about my preferred spice level (wasn't mentioned on the menu either), and the dish was pretty spicy. The noodles were a pretty good balance of sweet and salty, though, and had a decent balance of beef and veggies. I wasn't too impressed by the shrimp spring rolls, which only had a few small pieces of shrimp and was overpowered by the glass noodles and lettuce. They stopped serving the free shrimp crackers that they used to have, which was a bummer. read more

We visited here for dinner and the food was decent. There were hardly anyone on a Saturday evening and we were seated immediately. The corn patties were quite tasty and the honey chili sauce went along with that very well. The ginger tofu dish was OK but it could have had more flavor. The mango with sticky rice needed a bit more sweet (and the mangoes were mediocre, so that didnt help much). Overall, not a bad place for a quick bite or a casual sit down meal. My daughter and I went to Thai Pan for lunch on a weekend. The food is delicious. The Panang curry was good. The Tom Yum was delicious. The Thai Pan Creation was as tasty as it looks. It is a bit sweeter to our taste, but we know that Thai food is generally sweeter than what we cook at home. We could not finish everything so we boxed the rest. I haven't been to the location, but my husband and I made a phone order for pickup on a day we were too lazy to make lunch. Most lunch specials are $7.50, which is awesome. My go to noodle is Pad Thai, and his go to is Pad See Ew. The pad thai was pretty good and wouldn't mind getting again, but not my ultimate favorite in the Allen area. However, the Pad See Ew was excellent, probably the best we've had in Allen. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the flavor was simple and savory. Even though Pad See Ew isn't my go to, I would order this again for myself. In addition, we got the Thai Tea which was delicious as well. Overall, we enjoyed Thai Pan, especially for their lunch specials. I look forward to trying more dishes. Enjoy! read more

really wanted to give this place more than 3 stars but the food speaks for itself. ordered a pad kee mao and a basil fried rice to go and both were lacking in flavor and just tasted like old grease. chicken was chewy and dry and also had no flavor. fried rice didn't come with egg (but then i recall alot of thai restaurants always asking if egg is ok....egg is always better heh). they put mushrooms in their pad kee mao which is an interesting new twist for me but i wouldn't say it added much to the dish. prices are competitive for the portion size however and service is so so so nice. as i was waiting to pick up the food i could tell that those that come here are regulars and love the place. hoping that what i ate today was just a bad batch of food and maybe i'll give this place another shot because it's so close to us. read more

I really like this place. I also really like that it had great service and it is BYOB. The service is as good as it gets for a casual ethnic dining establishment. This place is very good. In general I do not find Thai food in Dallas compares to the NW (Portland/Seattle), California or NYC. It does best Atlanta though. I really like their noodles, pad Thai, Kee Mao, and See Ew. All very good. Last time I had the soup it was not as good as before, but in general it is very good too. Have had the green curry and the Penang and both were quite good, with the green being more authentic. As Carlos C wrote-The seafood melody mix was "okay", I will not order again. I would totally agree that is was mediocre, and overpriced for what it is. Still, that said, it is my only qualm. Lunch saves $1 on each entree. After years of having this place practically right under my nose, I finally decided to check it out and took my adult stepdaughter and stepson along. It's decorated nicely inside, belying its strip mall exterior. Looking over the menu, the Thai standards were all there. I ordered beef red curry, my stepdaugher got pad kee mow and the stepson got green curry with shrimp. My dish was very good, with a rich sauce. It was maybe a tad light on beef, but it was tender and flavorful. The pad kee mow noodles were a nice al dente and the veggies were still crisp. I only sampled the sauce from the green curry, but it was quite good as well. Prices were moderate and the service was adequate, although water refills were a little slow. The food here is reasonable priced and although I've had better Thai food, the food here tastes pretty good. I've had the pad Thai with beef and shrimp. The beef was dry but the shrimp is big and they give you about 4 of them. My girlfriend got the green curry and she thought it tastes ok but was amazed by the Tom Yum Gai. Overall we've had a fulfilling meal and the main reason why this place gets 5 stars is their service. The decor is nice and has a more upscale feeling when compared to most Thai places, definitely not a hole in the wall. My go to dish, pad kee mow, had good flavor but the noodles were a bit soft for my taste and I was surprised at the choice of some more western vegetables (not really a bad thing, just different). Other dishes (including a slightly watery yellow curry) were also good, though most seemed to be less spicy than what was expected. There was some miscommunication on our order and hence we were served Chicken Satay along with the Satay combo that we ordered, didn't make a fuss and accepted it.. This place was recommended so we stopped by for carry out. Their dining area is open at 50% capacity, maybe less. The gentleman that assisted me was nice and cordial. My order was ready when picked up and it was still warm when we arrived home. It wasn't what we expected. I'm with the others that it was a bit greasy but it was good. We ordered chicken lard na and chicken pad thai and a kids chicken teriyaki. The kids meal was a pretty big portion. Lunch portions are not available on weekends (we came for Saturday lunch). They didn't ask what spice level for the lard na but I asked for level 2 out of 4 on the pad thai and it had a bit of a kick. We also grabbed sweet rice with mangos and that was delicious. read more

You can't go wrong with Pad Thai, coconut soup, or any of the curry dishes. I always order pick up and the employees greet you so friendly and recognize you when you come in. I ordered the Tom Kha noodle soup mild with chicken breast I should of ask for extra meat I swear it was only like 5 pieces inside the soup. The broth was amazing itself had a great flavor.
