Thai Paradise just open with new ownership! Their food was so good! I recommend to try Pad Thai, Pad Kaprow and garlic pepper calamari! (That's what I got) they all taste like home in Thailand with fresh ingredients. I don't get a lot of Thai food around Ohio, only some place that I go and Thai Paradise (in Athens) is one of those places. If last time you were here you love the food, come back! It's better than before! If last time you were here you didn't like it that much, come back, it will be better FOR SURE! If you never been here before, give it a try and you will love it! The menu might be different a little bit, but only good stuff!

I really enjoyed my meal from Thai Paradise while in Athens. We got the garlic calamari, chicken pad thai and a shrimp drunken noodle dish. We got it to go and the portions were generous. Really enjoyed the flavors and added spice they let you choose from. Probably the best thing we ate while in Athens.

Ordered the Pho with no noodles, extra veggies for a super healthy meal!

Delicious food! Ask for extra veggies to make everything especially fresh! Beautiful decor! They no longer put MSG in the food so I'm so happy to update my review! Outstanding service!!

Well-cooked green bottle fly honorably served The owner said its normal and will not give any apology. Take your chance if you insist on going.

We love Thai food, and were pleasantly surprised to find this gem in Athens instead of in Columbus. We typically will drop in here almost every time we come to visit our OU Bobcat. The place is classically decorated, providing a pleasant ambiance. Service is good for the most part, except when they are at peak dining hours. We loved everything we tried so far. If you like spicy seafood, give their Yum Talay a try. The panang curry is so creamy good and is our go-to choice.

Tangy beef. That was my lasting feeling upon leaving. Admittedly the portion sizes are very good. However, the food just didn't deliver overall. The garlic pepper calamari were delicious...until you got sick of how sweet (or sometimes salty) some bites could be. Some bites had that perfect sweet, crunchy, and spicy surprise, but only some, and frankly not enough. My friend ordered the Himmapan Chicken with extra spice. It was a little too salty for her and she gave it just a 3 out of 5. I had the Drunken Noodle, which is my go to when I enjoy Thai, and this paled in comparison to previous delights. The flavors were somewhat there but the noodles weren't properly cut and a bit too chewy. The beef was tangy, which was my biggest disappointment. I informed my server and she responded with basically a noncommittal shrug and "never heard that before". That was off putting, especially when my friend tried the beef and agreed that the taste is off. There was no offering for something different or appreciation that I wasn't satisfied with my meal. So I was left with a bad taste in my mouth from the beef and meh customer service. Highly doubt I'll be back.

Love this place. Quick take out. Reasonable prices. Himmapan chicken spice level 3 is delicious. We also like the curries.

Perhaps if you are interested in dining in some of these things remain although the abandonment of sticky rice a few years back was the start of me opting for making Thai at home or seeking it out when I traveled. But last week's experience trying to get carryout is what prompts me to write this review now. For the second time, I could not get anyone to answer the phone when trying to order takeaway. Both times I frustratingly went to order in person and wait. The first time "the ringer was off" and they quickly got my order in. Last week, the answer was "when we are busy in the restaurant, we don't answer the phone." And putting in an order for take out now would likely take 30-40 minutes. So I opted for something else that day and share so others don't have to experience the frustration (and amazement) at a restaurant just not answering the phone when they are busy. I understand food ingredients are more expensive, service sector staffing is difficult and perhaps they were just a chef down that day. But at least make up an excuse, don't just share in the most cynical of ways, we just ignore phone orders when it gets busy.

Large private parking lot and the building appears to have been an old "Hut" style building with the chimney and brick front. The doors are definitely from a different era. Upon entry notice the place was fairly dark and I dare say dingy. The aged greasy carpet. The old Asian decor. Just screamed run. Then the hostess came up and was very friendly but a bit countercultural by rural southern standards. She knew her stuff though and was an absolute awesome waitress. Not sure I saw anyone else working out front. She seated you took your order and brought you your food she seemed to know the locals. Then the roll's appeared! Wow awesome surprise. And they tasted good so huge win. So I deducted a star for cleanliness but this place food wise and service wise is five star. Sorry I had a pix of the very nice rolls but deleted them as I thought I had already made this post.

Unfortunately, the quality has steadily declined over the years. I've never wanted to leave a negative review, but this place really needs help. After eating here, I experienced severe food poisoning symptoms, including diarrhea and extreme fatigue, and I lost an entire day being sick. The restaurant has become noticeably dirty, from the overall environment to the food itself. I even found a hair in my meal. This place needs a thorough renovation and better management. Sadly, I won't be coming back.

Went there for lunch, friend recommended…read more I went there once before, it said open at 11am, and...is not So this is the second time, giving them a second chance. First of all, if you never been here before, you just going to keep on driving, even tho is located in a plaza , big parking lot, but if you look at all businesses in the plaza, all are signs "open", welcoming, here? Is all super dark, windows are all cover, more like a sign saying "go away" we closed When I walked in, I just stood there, no one greeted me, no host by the front. One of the server saw me and told me to take a seat anywhere. I'm only there for lunch, so I look at the lunch menu. Now here is the thing. I believe every restaurant should only serve one type of food, meaning if you want to serve Chinese food, Chinese food only, if you want to serve Steak, Steak and Lobster only, don't do Thai and so Italian or Vietnamese and Gyro, this place is Chinese and...Thai, and they got a Mexican serving me, okay, is like so what are you? Friend of mine told me they also serve Vietnamese coffee, I asked, he said only Thai coffee, okay, no big deal. Ordered a drink, asked for a a straw, nope, don't have it, asked me if I want a to go cup, a restaurant don't have straw? Thats your only one job, order everything you need for the "restaurant". To me, that's a very poor management, because when you owing a business, you do not and never wait until everything is out to reorder, when ever your products are running low, not out, you reorder Poor experience

Quick facts: Solo visit Beef Drunken Noodle Combo: $13.95 Easy parking Conversation-friendly Service: A+ I told my server, Rasamy, it was my first visit and welcomed suggestions. She immediately pointed out that some appetizer prices had recently increased and weren't yet reflected on the menu. Nobody likes surprise math at the end of a meal, and I appreciated the heads-up. What stood out most was how she separated customer favorites from what she personally enjoys and explained why. Nothing felt rehearsed. She steered me toward the Beef Drunken Noodles, and I'm glad she did. The noodles had a great texture, the vegetables weren't overcooked, and the spice level kept things interesting without taking over. I didn't order the Garlic Pepper Calamari this time, but after hearing how it's prepared, it's firmly on my list for next time. I'm glad I almost didn't go.
