I can't believe this happened to me... I've been in this restaurant for takeout about five times in the last year. On a particular weekday (about two weeks ago) I had taken a brand new medication that required to eat it with food. I took it not knowing that and made a pit stop here before work so I didn't get sick to my stomach. I ordered takeout because I didn't want to waste the staff's time and dishes knowing that I HAD to eat something immediately but would also would need to leave promptly to get to work on time. So I was about to finish my half-eaten food and the worker comes up to me... she put her hand on my back and said "honey, if you order takeout you need to leave the restaurant." I was confused. Then she said "because our dining room is too small and I need tables open in case of any dine in customers". On a busy day, I get that! But it was 2:30pm on a weekday. They literally had one family at one table and a couple that had left the tiny tables right after I had placed my order... they had TEN tables available with no customers coming in... She said (and never stopped touching me the whole time which I wasn't comfortable with) and said "no, no! you can finish your meal, but next time you have to go if you order takeout". I immediately closed up my food containers and politely told her "naw, I'm done here". and she looked more upset saying that her manager had told her to say this to me. I was so embarrassed. The family that was seated (as previously mentioned) looked at me with surprise and mouthed "wtf dude?" and I said sarcastically, "I'm so sorry for taking up this full dining room, my apologies!" because I had to laugh it off at that point. I feel like the manager themselves should've said that to me face to face instead of standing in the background and forcing her employee to do this. I manage in restaurants so most people would just take this experience as an L. But in my experience there's two differences here. There's managing a situation and there's enforcing a policy. The "manager" clearly doesn't know the difference. I've steered ALL of my friends away from this place because of that. The food is "mid" but the service is crap. Never going here again based on the principle of my experience. They clearly need a new manager as they have no idea how to keep customers even during the SLOWEST PART OF ANY RESTAURANT'S DAY. read more

Just had dinner with my Sister, Bro-in-law and nephew. Their first time ever trying Thai cuisine. The service was excellent. No complaint. The ambiance is typical strip mall fast food style with small tables and uncomfortable small bistro chairs. The "Larb" appetizer was good but overpriced for the small portion. Cabbage leaves were soggy. Better with crisp lettuce leaves. Spring rolls were bland but peanut sauce was good and helped make it edible. Pineapple fried rice was good and best thing we had, but was soggy - should be more fluffy. Yellow curry pork was okay but a bit bland. We ordered everything "mild" but the bill showed "no spice". I assumed mild meant it would have some spice and flavor. I recommend having everything at regular spice level since otherwise it has only light flavor. Unfortunately, I had been telling my group that pad Thai was great, but the pad Thai we got was awful. I complained about it being soaked with a bad tasting red sauce, which the waitress said was a tamarind sauce. I have had pad Thai probably 100+ times and never had it like this. Mango sticky rice for dessert was very sweet and the rice was in hard clumps like it had dried out. Plenty of food for the four of us, but I felt it was a bit expensive for what we got. My wife and I have been coming here ever since we moved to the area back in Spring of 2021 and it is really delicious with lots of flavor, only leaving 3/5 stars because an order of curry does not come with very much rice, protein or curry sauce compared to a lot of other Thai restaurants we've been to in the area. Flavor is amazing but portion size seemed small and left me wanting much more, also noticed a price increase on their standard curry orders by several dollars which we weren't too happy about. 3 1/2 years later, I returned. Moved away so I wanted to give Thai Patio another try. I arrived at noon on a Tuesday and there were four other tables full. I was greeted warmly right away and offered drink. I chose iced tea and then ordered Chicken Pad Thai on the lunch special menu. It came with soup or salad. My soup came out lunch in 6 mins. It was chicken and rice with ginger and miso undertones. Very good flavors. My lunch followed 3 minutes later. Huge improvement in that part of their service. I'm not confident that the patio guests got such quick service tho. The meal included a tiny vegetable egg roll. The portions were right for lunch as were the spice levels. The whole dish was saucy, which is a must for Pad Thai. There was also plenty of protein. All in all, a solid dish of yum. read more

The food is very good, always fresh with plenty of veggi options. My only disappointment- I would visit more often if the wait time would not take so long... We/I usually order take-out for the office and when we put in our orders we give them about a 30 minute heads up for 4-5 orders. The last visit was the worst, they did not start making the food till I arrived to pick them up. I had to wait about 35-45 minutes past the due time for them to all be complete. Thai Patio does not stand out, but blends into the blandness of this hot summer day, where the fried rice could easily be prepared on a hood of someone's car if a daring chef decided to attempt it. The unassuming exterior continues with a simple, unremarkable design inside that provides little to distract from the meal. The menu offers all the American favorites of Thai food, from the pad Thai, to dumplings, to fried rice. Having tried all three of those, not sure there is a favorite. The fried rice tasted about as one would expect, the chicken of low quality was tough and tasteless unless supplemented by spice. It wasn't terrible, nor particularly rememberable. The pad Thai was not bad either and dumplings were not bad. There is little emotion to express about the establishment. For a Thai meal in the middle of the desert, perhaps worth giving it a shot. This Thai Eatery is one of the most fantastic Thai places we've encountered in the Valley in the past five years. And I have to say, there are some really good Thai places in the Valley! It apparently opened around the time my wife and I moved to the Valley, and while temporarily living in Mesa about 5 years ago discovered it, and today it's still going strong. The eatery is not large, but quaint and comfortable, the décor is modern functional and colorful in their art and lights. In the visits we've had at this Fab Thai eatery, our entrée's have included a delectable Yellow Curry with coconut milk with potato, onion, carrots with choice of meats; one of the best Pad Dek Pha Duk (Chili Catfish) ever tried - a deep fried catfish fillet, stir fried in chili, basil, onion and red curry sauce. One of the most incredible Pad Thai ever, with Rice Noodles in stir-fried eggs, bean sprouts, green onions in a slightly sweetened and spicy sauce with peanuts on the side with Red Curry Squid; a fantastic Crab Fried Rice. I highly recommend this Thai restaurant, and not just for the food (which is fantabulous) but an incredible crew from the cooks, servers and owners who take pride in what they do bringing authentic Thai to the Valley. read more

They did not give us the extra chicken on our entrees that we paid for. One entree was didn't even come close to filling the dish. Most Asian places stuff their take out dishes. When I called to ask for some adjustment, they told me we had to take all the food back to the restaurant so we could prove that we were shorted. We could not have done that on the night ordered because of an appointment. They refused, both first person I talked to and the manager, to make any adjustment or even admit that they could have made a mistake. The manager would not let me talk and hung up on me. read more

This is my hubby's and my favorite local food pickup spot. We always get the same thing because how much we love our dishes. He gets the Yellow Curry level 5 in spice and I get the Heavenly Ginger dish level 1, both with chicken. They always take 20-25 mins to prepare our order and we pick it up and is nice and warm and tastes so fresh. I like the little black containers they give with my dish and have many times reused it for storing food and have one for my child's crayons. The staff there are very polite. Absolutely the best most authentic Thai food I have ever had. The rice cooked throughly and carefully to make sure each grain has just the right amount of flavor not to mention the chicken not too spicy not too bland just right for the average joe.the cashews must've been hand picked you can truly taste the love they put into their work. The coke was ice cold with just the right amount of carbonation. The service was phenomenal the servers made sure my drink never reached halfway before asking me if I wanted a refill. If you love food or want to love food this is the restaurant for you there isn't enough words to describe my satisfaction with Thai patio it is truly going down in my exquisite dining hall of fame if you will. read more
