Went here for lunch one day and it was packed! That must say something right? The place is a little small but that's okay since the food makes up for it. I ordered the Pad Thai with both chicken and shrimp and it was really good. One of the better pad thai I've had. I usually add lime and chili paste but it was still very delish without. Service is passable but I will have to assess again when I stop by another time and I will definitely be back for more. Holy moly! What a concept?! Noodle dishes such as the Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles = superb. Pineapple Fried Rice = YUM. Panang Curry = made my husband say he wanted to go to Thailand. I ordered Thai iced tea a few times before but it had no flavor and you could tell was watered down, so the next time I ordered it, I asked for no ice and it SOMEHOW tasted even more watered down! We tried this place last weekend because I was dying for Thai food, and we were in the area. It was pretty busy for a Saturday night around 7. We were seated promptly by a nice window, in a booth surrounded by lovely decor and lush plants. Our server immediately brought us waters and took our drink orders. He got a beer, while I opted for hot tea. The tea was amazing! It didn't need any sugar at all, and it was refilled throughout my meal. After looking over the menu, just about any item was said to accommodate vegetarians. He got the vegetable pad Thai, and I the green basil curry, extra spicy, with tofu and sticky rice. He loved the pad Thai, and it was a huge portion for a big guy. Me? Hands down, one of the best meals I've ever had. The spice was perfect. They definitely didn't get shy with that! And the vegetables were fresh as can be. I kept eating, even though I was beyond full. The bill didn't reflect the huge portions, and amazing quality. A 30% tip was the least we could do. This was the third and last try at this thai restaurant. Every dish whatever you order as been served with pre cooked meats that seems to have been cooked days in advance, whether it chicken, pork, beef or shrimp in curry of a stir fry dish its like chewing on a very dry piece of jerky. Fantastic experience here. The man at the front counter and our waitress (owners?) were incredibly nice and made us feel very welcome. The ambiance is also great. We got bottomless Thai iced tea which was delicious. Had a great tea taste when most Thai iced teas I've had were mostly milk and too sweet. And for $2 it was even better. I had heard about the coconut rice and it did not disappoint. Wasn't overly sweet or clumpy, it was perfect! I also ordered the drunken noodles which had just the right amount of heat, lots of fresh herbs and veggies that still had a good crunch. This is a small but Amazing restaurant! Great decor, feels warm when you sit down. We were greeted by 2 or 3 people immediately and seated as soon as we walked in on a Friday night. Only one other table was taken which ordinarily might not be a good sign. Drinks were taken and served quickly and we ordered a sampler appetizer which came out in a reasonable time and was delicious. The small crab Rangoon seemed homemade and the spring rolls were great. Pad Thai was excellent. The curry dish we had with pork and was delicious and went well with the coconut rice. This is definitely a hidden gem. The take out business looks huge here as it was non-stop while we ate. The only thing I might do if I was the owner would be to shade the dining room from the headlights of the cars pulling in front of the restaurant. Definitely a distraction during dinner. read more

The famous "everyone" says that this place is better than the larger Thai place just down the street, so my wife and I tried it New Year's eve. I was always told it was tiny and had only a few tables, and was therefore mostly a takeout place, but it appears the expanded into the unit next door, so there's plenty of tables if you like this place. After a few bites of my choices, vegetable fried rice (no egg!) and a tofu dish, I told my wife it just wasn't that good. She said she felt the same about her food. A few moments later I found a hair in my tofu dish, so I threw it out. The rice wasn't that good, so I made myself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Maybe I caught them on a bad night, but I won't be going back. Maybe I should have taken the hint when I saw that the staff were having a pizza delivered. :-) I'm torn between one and two stars, and wishes I could give it one and a half. Everything was great (Pad Thai and Cashew Chicken) but the Spring rolls and Peking dumplings were some of the best we have had. I generally go to Chim Thai when I want Thai for lunch in Milford, but this time we decided to change it up and went to Thai Pepper. 4 Stars for the food. I got the drunken noodles and they were really really good! Probably one of the best I've had. My coworkers also enjoyed their dishes: pad Thai and the seafood Thai noodle soup. Both looked great! The portions and the lunch prices are also very good! The service gets 2 stars. Our waitress kind of had an attitude and didn't come across as even remotely friendly. However, she did keep topping off our Thai iced teas, which isn't very typical when you order Thai iced tea. I'll definitely return for the food, but they should really work on being a little more friendly! read more
