My wife and I dined at this place about a year ago and had a great experience. The food was very authentic and reminded us some of the meals we had on our trip to Thailand just a few month prior. Unfortunately, since then we have had a number of takeouts from the restaurant and the quality of the food has consistently been declining. I get it with another 'pepper' their signature level of spice .. some outfits use stars, these guys use the pepper. this dish is phenomenal Because i always order and pick up there i don't have any experience with their service.. but my orders are always ready, when i get there and seldom take longer than 10 minutes to prepare.. I was disappointed that they did not have vegtable tempura on the menu. I also asked for extra, extra peanut sauce and only got one very small amount on the side (about 4 oz.) Overall the food was good and the price was very reasonable. I thought the portions were just right for two people sharing. Took our family of four tonight out here for first time and it was great. The people here are awesome. Sticky rice was so good. My wife said the vegetable pad Thai was best she's had. I tried it and would agree. The kids ate all their food and my scallop green curry was super flavorful and nicely spicy. Thai is always an easy choice for us as we have dietary restrictions so we look for usually rice based, vegetarian etc like Asian or Mexican. Definitely will be back. The girl at the front desk was a biatch. I placed a to go order over the phone and (obviously) went to pick it up. She looked at me like I had three heads when I asked her if there was silverware in my bag. Hello....how would you like me to eat my soup? And then I asked her for an itemized receipt and it completely blew her mind. Wow. I got the coconut, mushroom, scallion, nasty chicken soup and it was The Nectar Of The Gods. It was really, really good. I also had Basil Salmon. They cooked the absolute BEJESUS out of the salmon, but that is the way I like it. Really. It was salmon jerky which probably doesn't appeal to 99% of the population. I wish they had taken the skin off. I think the skin helped retain any trace of moisture that may have been left in the salmon, but I really, really like it that way. They get a 2 for the soup and the fact that my food was ready and hot when I came to pick it up. read more

This review is for the carry out/pick up. We ordered the peanut curry chicken, drunken noodles, chicken pad Thai, and the sticky rice. The drunken noodles were really good, but it was our first time trying ham so didn't have anything to compare them against. The chicken pad Thai was well seasoned and I liked the consistency of the noodles. I wanted the curry to have more flavor and spice to it, and the potatoes in the curry seemed to be overcooked. Our favorite Thai food in the area, though there are more to try... We very much enjoy the curry, if you're into spicy, make sure you ask for extra heat. Red curry and masaman curry are my favorite, the lady likes the yellow, but less spicy than usual. Be careful if you order hot tea, you get a huge mug. Not the tiny cup with a pot that you might expect. The tea is only average and there is too much of it to compliment a dinner. Atmosphere is good, service is good, prices are competitive. read more

I was very excited by the entry and the place.. the best Thai restaurants and the one with basic interiors that are family run.. I ordered the Drunken noodles as they where listed as spicy .. I finally convinced my wife to give up on the Thai place "down the street", as other reviewers have referred to it. I feared for my health at that place. Happily Thai Pepper is a big step up. We've gotten take-out twice in the past month, and it's all been very tasty. Drunken Noodles, Fiery Pad Thai, Crispy Thai Rolls, Masaman Curry, sticky rice. Well cooked, good seasoning, plenty of heat; not soupy, noodles not mushy. The location (confluence of 109 and 16, heading into Milford) is a challenge if you are trying to get there at weekday rush hour. Add ten extra minutes to get through that intersection and into the parking lot. read more

Thai Pepper is some of the best Thai food I've found outside of the city limits. I've eaten there a couple times but its really tiny and best for take-out. I loooove their curries! Spiced perfectly to my taste. Also wonderfully cheap. The primary reason it has to lose stars is due to occassional slower service during real busy times (great for lunch and take-out dinners in this area...but defeats the purpose if not "fast"). And also for being incredibly difficult to find at all. The first time I was picking up food for co-workers here I seriously drove by the parking lot three times and everyone was wondering what was taking me so long... No worse way to piss off your co-workers than taking long with their food! But now that I have found this little gem in the sticks of Milford, I'll be first in line to offer to pick up food from here as long as I get some too! read more

Small Thai restaurant. Nothing spectacular. Sampler consists of an array of chicken skewers, spring rolls, wontons, and crab rangoon. Greasy, unappetizing. Pad Thai is way too sweet. Seafood ginger dish too much liquid in the sauce. Had to pull out mussels that were still frozen. Service just OK. It' really difficult to review a restaurant that has good food but lack any sense of execution with their delivery. To start with the good, their food is nothing short of great if you eat on site. I've eaten there for both lunch and dinner, both when it's busy and quiet. Good stuff! They fall INCREDIBLY short if you ask for take out or delivery. I once ordered take out and the appetizer sampler was stale. My son has a iron palette and has had their sampler fresh at the table when dining in house. He said, "This is great when you eat it at the restaurant, but when we order take out, it's worse than school cafeteria!". We've ordered delivery twice. The first time, their packing was sloppy and the salad dressing (which is yummy!) was all over the delivery bag soiling everything else which made it a complete mess. The second time, we got the "45 minute" only to have the food over 90 minutes later. When I called them to find out where the delivery was 75 minutes into the order, "on the way!" was what I got. TOTAL LIE! I spoke to the delivery person and he said "Oh I heard you on the phone asking about the order when they handed it to me for delivery." Thai Pepper Management - I like your food. I have no problem waiting for quality food. DO NOT LIE about the delivery times and DO NOT LIE flat out about "He's on the way". That's a cheap Chinese delivery trick. I'm SO disappointed. 1.5 hours for 2 dishes is not acceptable. You have lost my business. read more

This place puts all other restaurants in Milford to shame. Their food is excellent, even in comparison to some of the Boston/Providence Thai restaurants. Cheap too! In my opinion, it doesnt get any better than this. I stumbled on this restaurant by accident while shopping in a nearby plaza. I had traveled to Thailand a few years back doing some missionary work and this is the closest I have found to truly authentic Thai food. The food is delicious and every bite brings me back to Thailand! The first time I came here the owner talked to me about Thailand for quite a while. It was nice to see how passionate he was for his home country. The food is always fresh and delicious. I cant get enough of the pad thai! For a while we were getting take out from here every Sunday, but we've cut back. It's small inside but very nicely decorated, and the staff are friendly. We're boring, usually order the same thing: Thai crispy rolls - so delicious, especially to dip in the sauce that comes with them (but I don't know the name of) Pork dumplings - always order them steamed, small but come as an order of 8. The sauce for these is delicious as well. Pad Thai with chicken - love their pad thai. I like to order extra sauce for the crispy rolls and drizzle it on the noodles Fried rice with chicken - not much to say here, but comes with a generous helping of vegetables like chopped onion, snow peas, sprouts. Delicious. Very good value; usually comes to under $30 depending on how many order of crispy rolls and dumplings we order. Haven't tried other local Thai restaurants, but with Thai Pepper I'm not really inclined to. read more

Used to be our favorite Thai place for more than a decade now but was there on Mother's day and the meal was as usual , tasty and good . Had to bring home the left overs and found a small sharp broken piece of plastic in it when I had it the next day for lunch. Called them and discussed about it with not even a tone of complaint but out of concern . The guy who is usually in the front answered the fone and just said, " oh ok , oh ok " and hung up saying thank you.I wasn't even sure he understood how scary it is to have a sharp plastic in d food . It could do some serious damage if swallowed . But nope , he didn't even sound like he even cared a wee bit about it . What kind of footle attitude is that. Anyways I only wish , they would be more careful to not have any life threatening particles in their food.Not sure, if we would go back there again as I might get paranoid . Let me set the stage. It's tonight, a busy Friday night at the restaurant, and we walk in at 6:45 PM to order some takeout. I order, pay, and THEN am told it'll be 35 minutes! OK, I guess, I'll just sit and play some games on my phone and pass the time. While I wait, others come in, place their takeout orders, they wait, they get their food and leave. A young man comes in, tells the owner that he's there to pick up the order he called in 40 minutes ago (he was also told it'd be 35 minutes... you see where I'm going with this...?) And then he waits, and waits and waits. He is still waiting when we leave. At 45 minutes I ask the owner to check on my order. Still not ready. Then, even though it's a takeout order, he starts bringing the dishes out one at a time. At the 55 minute mark, the food is packed into a bag and we head out. When we get home 7 minutes later and unpack the food, some is cold, some is warm, and one dish is hot. Oh, and we're missing two dishes we ordered. Oh, and we have a dish we didn't even order (a shrimp dish that we can't eat since we have allergies.) Portions small, flavor mediocre, service pathetic. So we've devoured the little food we got and are now heading off to McDonald's for dinner. Don't waste your time or your money at this place. read more
