Unfortunately, I have to give the lowest rating for Thai Peru. I hope we just caught them on a bad night and our experience was not representative of their typical offering or I fear they won't survive much longer. It was bad from beginning to end. We started with a very poor greeting and after waiting at the reception for too long we were finally ushered to a booth where we again waited for way too long before being helped. After ordering soft drinks to start they tasted like really bad tap water and we had to return them. We instead ordered cocktails which never arrived even after reminding the staff twice. Our waitress never checked on us after taking our order. The food took about 30 mins to be served and we were not served at the same time. The food tasted average at best but certainly not worth the wait and poor service we suffered. The prices also were higher than other Thai food restaurants we have tried. Another really bad thing was the front door would slam every time someone came in and make the most disturbing sound. Also, some guests would stand with the door open because no one was greeting them and the cold air was blowing in from outside making it miserably chilly. The decor was shabby and there were not enough staff on the job to service both the takeout orders and the dine in orders. I felt really bad for the staff because I could tell they were sorry for the service but unable to do anything about it. I can't in good conscience tell anyone to come here. read more

Second time here...recently discovered, despite being at this location for some time. Love their curries! All of the things we tried were delicious & service very good. Numerous vegetarian options. Wait staff attentive & servers helpful with menu selections--all were gracious. Comfortable seating, pleasant decor, nice ambiance. We'll be going back. read more

Interesting concept, although its not Thai Peruvian fusion. Its more like a menu that is half Thai and half Peruvian. The have pretty reasonable lunch combos, but nothing out of the ordinary. read more

This place was awesome! Very comprehensive menu for both Thai and Peruvian cuisine. I don't have Peruvian food often, but when I have the chance, I get the Saltado. I've gotta say that this place knocked it out of the park; I got it with seafood, and the French fries were hot and crispy. Our waiter (named Dominick) was incredibly polite and attentive. So I just had a great dining experience at this restaurant. The server was polite, and knowledgeable of the menu offerings, and since I'm transition vegan she let me know about their vegetarian options to help me decided what to order. I had the spring rolls which was served warm and with a delicious sweet & sour dipping sauce, followed by Pad Kee Mao (a noodle over salad with mushrooms & tofu) it was spicy and delicious & they offer a spice tray with four different spicy mixes to increase the spice level as desired, which I thought was convenient, finally with my check in I got a free macaroon and all I can say is WOW so delicious the baker himself offered it to me and explained how he makes it, I am excited to come back and try more desserts when I'm not so full! Great experience, great food, great service! Don't know why it was so empty maybe the time I went was a little late for lunch but too early for dinner. read more

The best pho place in town!! I LIKE their food so much, we order to go and they bring it fresh and hot without a delivery fee. I don't even have to used the lame overpriced food delivery apps which by the way adds at least $2 extra to every dish you order. They don't tell you that because that's where they make their money. Had the thai bbq chicken lunch special. The salad was certainly prepackaged and served with a lumpy peanut sauce. The soup was bland and filled with mushy vegetables. The chicken itself was dry and flavorless. To top it all off, all the food was visually unappealing. I wouldn't recommend eating here. read more

The food here is really good! We had the broccoli fried rice with tofu, pad Thai with tofu and sweet and sour tofu. So. Good. Our only complaint is that they kind of stuck us in a corner and forgot about us. It was probably 10ish minutes before they took our order and then they forgot to give us our drinks and never came to check on us. So my husband had to get up and find someone half way through our meal. But they did give us a complimentary dessert to apologize which was nice. read more

We are from LA and just stopped by from our Norcal trip desperately seeking asian cuisine late night before closing. The ambiance is a lil old school but the food definitely good. This our first time trying out Thai Peru. We came before the dinner rush. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was not bad, although we expecting slightly more spice. We ordered yellow curry, pad Thai, and cashew chicken. The food was brought promptly. The meat was a little chewy; it seemed precooked and then added to the dish to be heated. The one reason I will probably not come back was the dirty windows throughout the restaurant, which spoiled my appetite. Otherwise, the dining area was very nice. read more

The food here is fantastic!! For all those people that comment as to why this and other ethnic restaurants are empty, let me tell you. Camarillo demographics is predominantly 70% white. Not to sound rude or stereotypical or even racist, but, a lot of white Americans don't know how or are afaid to try ethnic foods. White Americans stick to meat, potatoes and salads. You'll notice that Wood Ranch is always busy, odd, considering Camarillo is surrounded by authentic Mexican, Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Indian and Thai food. read more

We stayed in Oxnard for the weekend. My husband and I went to kayak in Anacapa. Decided to use my Living Social voucher at Thai Peru. They could have improve their business by having more waiter/waitress, great location. I have been to many Thai restaurant in Orange County. Thai Peru is not as authentic. Their main customer base is American. They have great location! Funny, they brought their kid to work. The little toddler was running after mom. The one that enticed to biggest reaction was Thai Peruvian. We ordered a nice sampling of their eclectic offerings to take back to the room. Across the board, the food was solid and super satisfying. Food is OK but not the best Thai I've had. Service in the restaurant is good. My negative review comes from my latest experience with them. I've used several Groupons while dining in the restaurant with them. This last time I purchased a Groupon, I went straight to ordering from them online, which is through Eat 24. I asked for the food to be delivered at a certain time and I placed my order, saying I would use CASH (after my Groupon is applied of course). I double checked all sites to read the fine print to make sure that it does not say "Not valid on delivery orders" or "Dine in only"......nothing found so I placed the order. So the delivery man shows up at my house and has Thai Peru or Thai something on the side of his car, like he's from the restaurant. He gives me the total and I tell him I have a Groupon. He says he cannot accept that and that I must pay the whole amount. I'm completely taken aback and I tell him that no where does it say they cannot take my Groupon for delivery. He tells me he works for another company and is just delivering the food. Well, how was I supposed to know that? I've had food delivered from another restaurant in town after ordering on Eat 24 and it was the OWNER who delivered me the food! So anyway, he tells me he cannot accept the Groupon and that he'll have to take the food back to the restaurant. I asked him for what, just to throw it away?? He said he'll have to pay for it himself and that he just wasted $10 in gas trying to find my house - uh, not my problem, DUDE! I tell him to hold on while I call Thai Peru. She tells me how they are a separate company who delivers and I tell her straight up several times that they need to put on their groupon NOT VALID FOR DELIVERY! Cause now you just wasted food, this dude's time (and gas), my time, etc. Anyway, he ended up leaving and taking my food back. BIG WASTE OF TIME. A group of us had dinner here after seeing a movie. Prices are not too expensive but definitely worth the portion of food. I like the food here. The service ca be improved on though. It sometimes makes you feel like your a burden. The business manager will just make excuses and not take advise ti heart I find this to be a bit troublesome as she will give you money off you going there again. The fact she offered movie tickets to a person on here as a compensation??? Terrible!!! Take th ed criticism Nicollete as there are other better thai places to eat at. Like I said the food is good but be prepared to make sure the waitress doesnt misunderstand exactly what tu ou want otherwise deal with excuses from the manager and waitress. 2.5 stars. I got my food to-go. I ordered the Thai chicken satay. It was really good. Larger than usual portion, the peanut sauce was good and seemed fresh. I also ordered the Pad Thai. I've had better. Honestly, it was very bland and over-cooked. All the noodles were stuck together. I ordered it spicy and there wasn't really a hint of spice. I'd probably give it another shot and order something other than the Pad Thai. read more
