Unfortunately we were quite disappointed by our order from Thai Plate. They we're friendly and I appreciated the vegetarian/vegan options on the menu (pretty usual for thai), but we found our pad Thai (both tofu and beef) to be very bland and lacking authentic flavors. Jackson is notoriously expensive, but at $19 per dish for sub-par noodles, I think you can find better options. Perhaps their other dishes are more flavorful. read more

One of the worst Thai places I've been to, the dumplings were hard, the curry had no taste and the fried rice was just hot. Looks like they cater to a lot of tourists who come in buses and the food is made in bulk. Skip it if you can. read more

Thai Plate is a family-owned, WONDERFUL small restaurant trying to survive in a town overrun with impatient hungry vacationers this summer. Tourism is up 50% and wealthy COVID refugees have purchased all available properties, driven up the rental market and pushed out Jackson's working class. Consequently restaurants, hotels, coffee shops and retail stores are ALL short-staffed and curtailing their services. So please... BE PATIENT. Don't give a place like Thai Plate a poor review just because they were closed or crowded. I'm sorry if you chose to vacation here this summer and are disappointed at how crowded and understaffed everyplace is. A nice surprise when I called around the local restaurant and only this one has openings at 6:30pm on a weekday. They are located inside a small plaza with patio seats and live music. We, however, were seated inside. Their food was delicious but a bit too sweet! We got lemongrass soup, pineapple fried rice with Tofu, Pad Thai and green curry beef. On a girls' trip with three friends, we spent our final night in Jackson. We have varying tastes and dietary restrictions among us, but we all like Thai food. So I used Yelp to find a highly rated one. Honestly, this was okay and not as amazing as I expected from reading the reviews. I got chicken satay and red curry. The satay was pretty good; my curry was huge and had a good amount of heat but was lacking flavor. The dish had a lot of protein (I got chicken), but I'm not accustomed to seeing whole baby carrots (like they opened a bag and dumped it in) and zucchini in red curry. The ambiance is minimal, white walls and not much decor. Tables are somewhat packed in, and there is a bar area with one TV. It was very loud once the restaurant filled up. It looked like you could bring in your own alcohol; the table next to us did. The service was okay. Our server was nice, but we asked to sit at a table by the window instead of being stuffed in a corner, and another worker made it known she wasn't pleased with our request. I left full, and the prices were okay, so I wasn't dissatisfied, but it definitely wasn't amazing Thai food like other reviewers suggest. read more

If you do, you're crazy and/or are some kind of rough guy who probably wears gym shorts when it's below zero outside. (It was 5 degrees out when I visited on this night). 4. If you did order a spicy level over 4, leave and go get some wet wipes. You will thank me later! 5. Ignore the decor. Order anything. My suggestion would be chicken fried rice (spicy level 2-3). 6. Ignore the decor throughout your meal. Pay your bill and come back here and review this place. It was so good, I had to share. Sidenote: I paid the penalty for spicy level 4. I ate the green curry and it was quite delicious. I was not expecting to have great Thai Food in Jackson but this was actually surprisingly good! My friends had some other dishes that were not quite as good, but also not so traditionally thai. I would suggest sticking to classic Thai dishes and you can't go wrong. Green Curry for the win! Oh also the portions are quite large, which is whole heartedly welcome! The quality and portions are definitely worth the modest price. This is a gem amongst all the Jackson Hole western-themed restaurants and bars. The Tom Kaha Ghai soup is a perfect blend of coconut sweet and spicy, with a ton of yummy veggies in it, which I've never seen before. The Pad Thai is also divine, with a nice side of cabbage and carrots. Service was great too; prompt, even though they were busy on a Saturday night. It's a small, stylish place tucked in among over-the-top touristy cowboy hats-and-boots restaurants. If I lived here, I'd eat at this place at least once a week! read more

Passed by here on our way to Grand Teton, they were busy and seemed understaff as it took a while to get our table and orders. Their dishes are very generous on the size (and for the price) so make sure you order accordingly otherwise you are going to have some leftover. We ordered the egg rolls, very tasty and I loved it. We ordered pineapple fried rice, pad thai, and pad see eww. They put in a lot of meat in all the dishes which is awesome. Amazing friendly and quick service. Large portions for their price! MUST GO. Found a Thai place on the map, took a minute to find it, as it's a little in from the main road. But signage makes it easy to find. Outdoor seating is a must- we waited a minute as a other table was leaving, but took the waiter two minutes to get it disinfected. Waiter wore a mask and gloves the whole time, and was super friendly! I asked for a recommendation and got the drunken noodles (forgot which Thai word it was on the menu) good meal prices- $10 for a serving that some people had leftovers from)! Others got orange chicken, and others- never a complaint on the food. I got a Thai tea (it's iced and sweet FYI), which was a great refresher. Waiter was close and continued to be friendly. Got to go boxes, and we're offered a bag to go with. Go here if you want a relaxing lunch from walking around. My expectations were set pretty low for Thai in Jackson. The beef salad was decent. The beef stir fry dish, didn't look like the picture which was a bit sad, but the tom yum shrimp in the hotpot serving size was pretty good. It really hit the spot due to the cold temperature outside. read more

I consider this one of Jackson Wyoming's hidden gems. The food is fantastic! The pad Thai and Tom Kha Kai were well worth with the price and totally exceeded my expectations for quality Thai food in Jackson. The kitchen speaks in Thai, not English, which is always a good sign. I would consider the food more authentic than most Thai restaurants. No complaint for the food, but they were so rude and disrespectful when they charged 15% tip and EVEN WROTE on my credit card receipt on my behalf, which was utterly unacceptable. After they swiped my Chase credit card, I saw they wrote tip amount and total amount on the receipt that I needed to sign (see photo). So angry. I asked the table next to us who also paid with card if they got charged 15% -- No they did not. The waitress's argument was because I came out of a foreign tour bus, they needed to charge 15% tip. I understand certain foreign countries do not have a tipping culture and may not tip. But I paid with an American credit card and speak fluent American English, they should total realize I am more than familiar with the right way to tip. I love Pad Thai. I'll just put that up front. I almost told the host that I'd come all the way from Baltimore for their Pad Thai. Which wasn't entirely untrue, but that wasn't all that brought me to Jackson. So, they do apparently close between lunch and dinner, which I hadn't seen in their posted hours. I got to town late for lunch and got quite a scare when I was told they had taken their last table. But takeout was available! As it was a beautiful day, that worked well. Authentic Thai food hands down. The spice level is tamed down for the normal white American person. Normally 5 Thai hot is unbearable for the normal American. Solid Thai food - we ordered the pad kee mao and the cashew chicken. Both were tasty and came in big portions. We also got the fresh rolls, which came with a nice peanut sauce, we only wish it came with a few more rolls (the appetizer comes with 3 small rolls). We enjoyed our dinner! read more
