    Tom yum salmon

I have never had worse Thai food than this. We were tired and cold from the hike and we wanted some hot soup, and so we ordered this large tom yum hotpot and the most boring-looking pot of soup came out, could barely feed 6, mostly just broth, and it tasted so bland. Everything else is equally as bad, especially the dumpling, which idek if it is actually dumpling or not. Never ever come here.

We eat a lot of Thai food and genuinely this Thai food was so bad, disappointing, and the most bland we have had yet. We ordered Pad Thai & Pad see eew which was over 50 DOLLARS. We will pay for good food but this was just no good. Especially for being in Jackson Hole.

    Check, please.

Very good, filling lunch today. I would usually prefer nearby Annie's but they are closed Wednesdays. Most dishes are available as a lunch portion, adding a small egg roll which serves as a fine appetizer. I went for Masssaman curry with chicken, as mild as naturally made. It was lacking a little depth, but the flavors were fine. The chicken was basically white breast meat thrown in at the end. The menu mentions a leg, so that may be how it is served at dinner. I bet that would be superior! Nice to see duck on the menu, though the red duck curry with pineapple and grapes disappeared when they moved out of their original underground location. The lunch costs $14, before tax/tip. Good deal in such a pricey town!

The food is decent. But not that great. There are Thai restaurants in Idaho Falls for half the price with more discriminating taste. $25 a plate is insane for a plate. Not a fan.

Outstanding food. I had the fried duck breast with basil onion and bell peppers and it was delicious.

When will Thai Plate be reopened again? When I called to check/googled it, they said it would be back late November or early December. Does anyone know?

My pad see ew was yummy and a good portion size. My son enjoyed the tom yum. Our group also had other noodles and a curry and everyone enjoyed the meal. My daughter had really missed white rice. It's always nice to have a break from the burgers and salads when traveling. Sorry our kids ate so many of the hi chews... they haven't had any in a few weeks!

Had to wait at least 5 minutes for my food to be dropped. I'm not sure who our server was. On the receipt it said Cashier so I don't even know if we had one. Nonetheless we were only checked on once. They did a poor job at refilling waters as well. I was eating spicy food and my mouth was on fire and had no way to suppress that heat for a while as I ate. Lastly the music they played in the background was the weirdest, the worst part, and to be honest why I'm even writing this review in the first place. Not only was the volume too loud for background music, but from what it seemed it was a playlist of 10 or so pop songs from two different singers. A guy and a girl that I never heard of. The music was pretty generic and Shazam didn't recognize it which makes it seem like they were AI generated. They were very annoying and honestly the worst part of my dining experience especially because I heard every song at least twice. I don't want to support a restaurant that will play AI music and not check in on me here and there. Food was good tho.

The service was great and pir waitress was kind. Although the noodles looked good, I wasn't sure I had a big enough appetite so I thought I would start with the Papaya Salad, amd if still hungry get noodles after. The Papaya Salad was huge! The spice was good, but the papaya was definitely not fresh. Everything in the salad was hard & raw amd slightly pickled. I ended up ordering a side of chicken to get some protein, which was a decent portion, but definitely boiled chicken. The BKK Noodles my husband ordered was a good portion but there were so few pieces of chicken they were gone in the first few bites. In addition the flavor was bland. It had the start of good flavor, but fell flat. In addition to the "fine" food, $30 for the noodles was insane! We have amazing thai at home all the time and it's nowhere near $30 for authentic & delicious noodles. We didn't try the other thai place in town, but if you're looking for good thai I think I would try someplace else.

The bar seating was available and allowed us to watch the kitchen staff hustling. Once seated, we waited for Beste to take our order, about 10 minutes. She was MIA most of the evening. Our evening started with the braised beef bao bun with carrot, kimchi, sesame seeds, kimchi aioli, and pickled onions. The flavor was good but it was grossly over-sauced and extremely messy. The bao bun was delivered broken in half. The lemongrass flavored pork dumplings were accompanied with onions, radishes and fermented black bean chili crisp. The dumplings were boiled and had no crispness from being pan seared which left a doughy taste. Our favorite was the Caeser salad with gem lettuce, tahini Caesar, aged parm and nori dusted rice crisp. A truly crisp bite with little taste crunches from the nori and tasty tahini Caesar. Homerun! Our final dish was the shrimp toast with kimchi aioli, pickled jalapeno, toasted sesame seeds on a milk bread slice. There was no shrimp taste and was told it was a "thin" shrimp mousse spread covered by other ingredients. I would bet there is less than a teaspoon of mousse on 4 pieces of toast. I have several issues with tonight's dining experience. A waitress, Beste was MIA, left empty plates piled up with limited room at the bar, did not change out plates coated with kimchi sauce between services, and a short attitude when we asked about "where is the shrimp". I hope the restaurant can correct these issues or find help that truly cares. Hospitality means pay attention and "Anticipate" the patrons need prior to them realizing it. This also falls on management who needs to guide and set a culture that employees can emulate. SHOW THEM THE LIGHT!
