Good food. Very good service. I missed lunch special hour. Everything is good, however, I still think the price is a little high for Pad Thai. Anyway, I'm only visit Denver, not sure about the price of other Thai restaurants. IMO, pad Thai is similar to pho in terms of ingredients, except the way of cooking. Pad Thai is stir fried rice noodles while pho is rice noodles in broth. The pho restaurant I went to the night before offers great food and the price is really reasonable. It is on the same street but a couple of blocks away. I will not come back to this restaurant unless I can make it to lunch specials. read more

Overall great experience. Easy off street parking in a newer shopping center. Service was great. Our server was patient while we looked through the menu; I was unnecessarily indecisive and they have a lot of great options. He told us not to worry, "they are called Thai Pot Cafe not Thai Pot Express." The restaurant has a nice mix of tables and booths, as well as bar seating with a few nice sized tvs that can be seen throughout the restaurant. They would be able to accommodate large parties easily. The menu clearly notes what is dairy free, gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian, AND notes what items can be made to these preferences upon request. We ordered (all vegan) a tofu spring roll, tofu pineapple curry (6), and Tom ka with tofu (5). Enjoyed all of it and would order again! The 5&6 spice levels were not too spicy, but they bring out spices for you to add, so we were able to get the right heat. I would suggest you start with at least a 7, if you like your food spicy. Portion sizes were nice, not huge, but still enough to take a little home with you. We didn't get dessert, but they had more options than you normally see on an Asian menu and 2 which were vegan. My only complaint is that they use polystyrene to go containers :/ and they use paper napkins opposed to cloth. The napkins were cheap feeling and kind of changed the experience and the to-go containers left the meal on a less than positive note (there are so many other great options, why use those!!!). read more

Thai food is one of my favorites and very few places outside of Thailand have real Thai food. Most serve an Americanized version of traditional dishes. This is not to say they are bad, but they are quite different. Thai Pot Cafe is one of these places. It will do well, as the atmosphere is nice, decor contemporary, good location and they have Happy Hour 1/2 price specials. The food is about average for American Thai cuisine, spices are tamed down, even when spicy is requested. I continue to try many Thai food places they are all good with some being better (I do have my GO TO favorite). So, give this one a try, you may find it likable for a pleasant meal. Pad Thai is some of the blandest I've had and when you ask for spicy ---Im not sure they add anything. I had to dowse mine with red pepper flakes. This is my favorite Thai place in the area. I really love Thai food and spend a lot of time in Thailand and this place really nails a lot of their dishes. If you like spicy, try the mango tini-perfect amount of spice and subtle sweetness from the mango purée. More pricier than other Thai restaurants in the Denver vicinities. Sometimes impossibly crowded... But there's a reason! Good service and good food. You do have to learn your "spice level" as many dishes can be ordered with the heat anywhere from 1-35! This is especially a great place for me because I often pick up and take home, living close by. It's sometimes a little easier to get in at lunch if you're looking to try the food. I am extremely picky about my Thai food and I wish I could move around here just to eat here! I hope this store stays around until the next time I visit Colorado. I am giving this place two stars for now because they have really been hit or miss for me. The first couple of times I came here the food has been really good and the portions were adequate. The latest couple of times I have been here the food still tasted good but the portions were completely underwhelming. This last time I ordered drunken noodles which tasted good but looked more like a side dish than a meal, and at $12.50 it was a real disappointment. I left still hungry and a bit ripped off. The server was nice, maybe a bit overly so but that's fine by me. He was really busy though too so we waited a bit for things. But the guy who dropped our food off (and I mean dropped) was a different story. He just showed up out and clanked our plates down and ran off. I wanted to say something about the size of my meal right then but he was gone. By the time I saw our server again I had eaten the majority of my meal and didn't feel I could say anything. The curries are really delicious though and are served with a nice side of rice. And they have a nice selection of them to choose from. They scale their spice from 1-10 with the idea that a 7 is similar to jalapeno. This is more or less accurate in my experience. Like I said, I have been here numerous times and have mixed reviews. I will be back to give them another try though and see if I can give them a better review. read more

My Daughter and I eat here all the time! It's always our favorite place until our last visit. We went for lunch and ordered chicken noodle soup and crab rangoons... we were craving the yummy broth and melt in your mouth chicken pieces! My daughter started eating her soup and found hair it! I had her put it to the side of her bowl and motioned for our waitress. She was unapologetic and kinda rude! Shocking! Our bowls were on the table less than 5 min when my Daughter found the hair...not like she ate 1/2 the bowl and all of a sudden "found" it. When she found the hair in her soup, I mentally could not eat my soup but I knew I would pay for mine... no problem. The attitude of the waitress was shocking and we decided we need to take a break from here for a bit. I don't know if it was an "off" day or what.. service was terrible, the broth was not delicious, as usual. and the chicken wasn't tender. Very sad... read more

This local Thai spot just gets better all the time! They will serve wimps like me any dish on the menu with zero heat. You can add your own heat at the table, which the hubs does, or just enjoy the fine curry, fried rice, and other great Thai dishes in a state fit for a mild palate. I have enjoyed their food before but their customer service is lacking. They will not allow any customer to sit in a larger booth if there are not 3 or more people in your party. Even though those larger booths would be snug for 3 or more people. Not everyone is a small size. First off, the vegetable egg rolls are awesome, particularly when paired w/ the cashew duck sauce they serve it with. I got the Pad Khing, a ginger dish with perfectly cooked vegetables, crunchy, not mushy. You select your spice level so this being my 1st time, I selected level 4 which turned out to be just right although I'll probably try a level 5 next time. The Thai Iced Tea was also good but if you like your Thai Tea sweet, you'll be slightly disappointed. Finally, the service is good provided you're not expecting sit-down fast-food quickness. Crowded parking lot and the place fills up quickly during lunch hours. Highly recommended to call ahead if you have a lunch to go order. Staff is friendly but seems chaotic or overworked. Food has always come out delicious, fresh, and hot and spiced appropriately. They have a few tables inside for large groups and a bar with seating for solo customers. Not sure I would recommend for large groups unless you call ahead first. I usually get chicken fried rice here and it is decent. Spiced appropriately, a few large chunks of chicken, plenty of onion and tomato, and decent rice. The price, even for a lunch special, seems high. Almost $12. But they do give a choice of a crab rangoon, egg roll, or soup as a side. The $12 does not include a beverage. Yes, the portion is huge but still... $12 with no option to downsize. I really wonder what these places will do once the AAA office and CDOT move to their new headquarters in 2018. I hope they can survive. Overall it's a nice change from the usual burger and mexican restaurants that inhabit this part of Colorado Boulevard. read more

There's no area to sit while you wait so there was literally a line out the door while we waited to be sat on a Saturday night and it continued once we sat. Personally, I don't want to wait but will for good food but appreciate when the restaurant has the system down pat and can manage the wait. Once we sat, the service was sloooooooow. Like I ordered a Thai Iced Tea and it never came out slow, so I ended up canceling the order. The drunken noodles and Pad Thai were spot on in regards to taste and portion size so as always, I had some leftover Pad Thai the next day. Brought an elderly woman as part of a three-some and they refused to seat us at an open table during the lunch rush (it was apparently reserved for parties of 5 or more but no one used it the entire time we were there). Then, when I brought up the length of the wait (20 minutes), I was told, "No, it's only been 15 minutes." What a crock! I drove over there there to see if I could get a small chicken noodle soup to take home and they said it would 25 minutes because they were very busy. There couldn't have been more than 10 people in the restaurant. It would have taken 5 minutes to make it. I will not go back if they treat their customers that way and will tell all my friends as well. This place was so good! They have various spicy levels. We went for the Thai hot spicy level (the spiciest) and it was just right! Tom yum - the flavor was great! Sour and spicy the right amount. Thai basil - this stir fry dish comes with a side of white rice. Comes with plenty of vegetables. It was delicious. Pad see ew - this dish was on the sweeter side. We opted for pork as the protein. The pork was tender and not dried out. Very friendly staff. I was sad that I was too full to order dessert. The mango sticky rice that another table got looked quite good. read more

But golly I think their food is so good that it makes up for all of it. I like to go with a friend, order the pad see yew, pad thai, AND another order of pineapple/curry fried rice, and share. This has been my go-to Thai place for years now, and continues to be through the COVID pandemic. It has the best Drunken Noodles in Denver, and the Ladna is excellent as well. They have all the staples you'd want out of a Thai place. Service is always friendly - curbside is very efficient. Prices are fair - the portions aren't the largest but I've never left hungry.
