I am so sorry to say this but tonight I had the worst Thai food of my life from Thai pot. I only went there because my fav Thai restaurant near donuts and water had phone problems so I couldn't call in my order. The shrimp tom yam had zero shrimp in it and though I ordered it spicy it was really bland. The pad Thai had so little chicken, no chunks of peanuts and again very bland. The green curry is my favorite Thai dish. It had nice fried tofu in it but hardly any vegetables and a different off flavor to any Thai green curry I have ever tasted in Thailand or the USA. I was sad to have spent so much money in this restaurant. Unless they get a new chef, I do not recommend it. read more

Have gone here several times for lunch. Good food, good price and quick service I can get in and out in my short 30 min lunch.

Overall a good experience and good food. My guests complimented on the ambiance and decor. I'm happy with the prices, but a $2.00 charge that I have no idea what it was for, and due to the confusion of how much soup to order, we got 2 very large bowls of the #16 Thom Kha Gai, and the cost was slightly more than listed on the menu, a bargain. Server seemed neutral, neither friendly or not. But did have trouble understanding the orders, with three of us ordering, not all in order. It looked like the broccoli was cooked to perfection on the #38 or #48 entrees for my guests, not sure which, but the broccoli was overcooked and fewer on my entree. The Thom Kha Gai was good but did seem to be light on a bit of spices, lemongrass? perhaps. I do much prefer the food at another Thai place, Lynns, 10 miles away, although even there the servers are not rude, but not friendly either. read more

Had a great lunch at Thai Pot. They had Pot Stickers on their specials menu and they were garlicky, fresh and delicious. The food looks and tastes like someone in the kitchen is actually cutting up fresh veg, not just dumping in frozen crap. Staff is friendly and quick. Prices are fair, of course I wish they were lower, but food is just expensive. Also ate chicken yellow curry, asked for spicy, I would say it was more in the medium range but spice is a scale and everyone is different. Thai sticky rice is great and is the only time I ever eat rice. There are at least four parking lots within two blocks so it's pretty easy to get to. read more

Good tasty food. Will cook for you with healthier coconut oil. Has organic tofu to save you from GMO soy. Very good vegetarian/vegan options. Only negative is that the patio dining is right next to a busy and noisy street. read more

Was not my first choice and almost did not go in tonight but boy am I glad we did. Ive only had Thai Food a few times but after tonight I am a life long fan. We had/split: The Hot and Sour Chicken Soup was a 10/10 Cucumber Salad 8/10 (best Ive had other than at the local sushi place) Egg Roll 7/10 - wouldnt get again but did not really want these anyways Yellow Chicken Curry - 10/10 Tofu and rice noodles (forgot the name) 10/10 The service was incredible. My water glass was empty for about 10 seconds. That is a huge plus for me! Food was hot, and served quickly. Service was great. Atmosphere was ok nothing fancy but who cares. Our waitor brought us out two tiny peices of the best moist chocolate cake ever. Just really really impressed overall. Best meal Ive had out in a long time. Our bill was $35 dollars and I left a 15 dollar tip. Go here. I was so impressed that I signed up for a Yelp account to write a review. This has been one of our favorite restaurants in Sebastopol for many years & we've always had a good experience whenever we've come here. Most recently, I ordered the curried seafood soup & my wife ordered the Tom Yum Gai [chicken soup], both equally excellent. There's peaceful music on in the background & no tv, thankfully. There's no need for a happy hour here, since the wine prices are so affordable. $4 for house wine, plum wine & sake. My Seafood Curry Soup had plenty of mussels, clams, scallops, shrimp & calamari in it. Thai Pot also has daily lunch & dinner specials. There are even 6 soups that aren't on the main menu under glass on the table. With or without a coupon, the prices are very reasonable here. read more

My husband picked up take out from Thai Pot in Sebastopol last night. It was delicious. We are trying to stick to a plant-based diet and Thai Pot has a lot of options. For instance, the Tom Yum soup can be either with a chicken or a vegetarian broth. My husband said he hesitated to choose vegetarian broth because sometimes that means bland. That was not the case here. It was rich and flavorful. That was the case with everything we had, from the brown rice, to spicy eggplant, and a vegetable red curry dish. My husband said the owner was very thoughtful and brought him a glass of water while he waited for the food (he did not call ahead), and then brought him a whole pitcher of water when he saw he'd run dry! It's nice to have this take out option of healthy well prepared food near our home. We'll be going back to Thai Pot sometime soon and try eating in the restaurant. read more

Very bad food. I make a pretty decent Larb and this dish here was tasteless and quite sad looking. I took one bite and ate no more. The fried wonton were full of this weird beef paste and two of them were fully burned- not merely around the edges but fully burned. Pineapple fried rice was clearly leftover, cashews soggy mush, no pineapple and not one free rice grain in the entire dish, just a disappointing plate full of gross lumpy stuck together clumps of yukky rice. Calamari salad had dressing on the side and was overpowering with far too much fish sauce. Good thing we had dressing on the side because you can't really screw up a plain salad. Tom Ka soup was eh-ok, basil eggplant and tofu was add some sriracha sauce-ok and the Ferrar Roche had with the bill was the best part. Ugh...this place has got to be a front for something much more profitable cuz if this is what's served all the time I cannot figure how any money would be made from this terrible food. Maybe it's just the Sunday risk alas I do not recommend this establishment nor will I ever be back. read more

Good, basic dishes. I ordered the #7 lunch special, garlic with beef, and the amount of meat was very good and broccoli was cooked just right, not overdone. Egg roll was fresh and delicious. Side of chicken soup was tasty but lukewarm. Friendly, speedy service. Asked for a take out order of sticky rice and peanut sauce even though these are not specifically on the menu and they were kind to oblige me. Went at two in the afternoon on a Monday and I was the only customer, except two other patrons who left soon after my arrival. Nice ful music in background. These folks are so sweet. We were the only customers in the joint and we were doted on by three loving and attentive staff. But the food was not good. It was bland and boring. The curry we ordered was soupy and the beef was tough and overcooked. The decor was awful. Every time I tried to look around, I had to avert my eyes. I would not return as is. If this place got a makeover and added some color and flavor to the food, I would be happy to have another go. read more

Thai Pot in Sebastopol gets four stars from me and my family because the food here is soooooo much better than any other Asian restaurant in Sebastopol. We got take out last night after walking in, and took our meal (plenty hot) home a mere 20 minutes later. Fresh, flavorful and delicious. Lots of choices, something for everyone including kids.Service is very friendly and prompt. I was struck with the level of happy professionalism of the brother-sister team that helped us last night. Great service and good food. Only 4 stars because the wine list needed help. Thai food is great for wine wines but you want something other than what you cab find at Safeway. We ordered 2 thai ice teas, pad see eu, and the pumpkin curry. The curry was wonderful and good on brown rice. read more

How do you burn rice? Come on you would think that this is simple enough to not mess up. We have ordered twice now from them and both times we have been so disappointed. The first time we ordered everything medium spice. We love spicy food and thought medium was good place to start. But everything was so spicy that we literally took all the food and dumped it right in the trash. We figured we would give them another shot. This time we ordered the deep fried tofu whuch wasn't even cooked through. Still exteremely mushy and spongy. We also ordered everything mild which i guess means absolutely no flavor. I asked for the pad thai to have no meat or eggs, it came with both. There are so many excellent Thai resturants in our area, there is no use trying these guys out. read more

The worst Thai food I have had in years !!! YUK. The Thai BBQ chicken was terrible -- it was a pumped up chicken breast with the worst BBQ sauce -- it was not Thai BBQ sauce but a watered down Katchupy sludge -- they use the same "watered down" sauce version on their Pad Thai. The Basil chicken had a somewhat more Thai-like sauce, but was loaded with cut up lettuce pieces!?!?!? :-0.....YUK YUK YUK!!!! Prices are way too high for this slop. After an unsavory Thai experience for lunch at another restaurant I was left feeling hungry. Thai pot was absolutely wonderful. The staff was friendly and upbeat. The restaurant served deliciously flavorful food. I am vegetarian and they were able to give me more options than any other Thai place I've been to since I've moved to Santa Rosa from SF.
