I usually love this place and still do. Tonight I came to order Wor WonTon Soup and Mu Shu Pork. I gotta say it seemed less as delicious as usual. But perhaps it's my state of mind. Our family has been coming here since long before it switched hands. Tonight my food tasted more Japanese than Chinese. Which was a lil disappointing. They have an amazing Japanese Restaurant next door which I absolutely love. But I wanted Chinese food. I like my Mu Shu traditional style. Dry fried not served cooked in a teriyaki style sauce. Typically has scrambled eggs and bamboo shoots but this one doesn't. Usually the food here is quite delicious. It was pretty good but not what I expected. Or more accurately not what my taste buds were set for. I'm sure I'll return and order something else and be much happier. I went ahead and packed it to go. I'll try it tomorrow after I change my thinking about what to eat. lol Ohhh. The manager and chef came over and wanted to know what I was thinking about his food. He is a lovely person. I shared and he insisted there was no charge for my meal. He even offered complimentary dessert. Very kind of him. The servers were also very kind and very helpful. I left the leftovers and a tip. Hopefully they'll understand that I still love this place. I mean come on. It's beautiful.

I thought this was a pretty solid Chinese restaurant. The food here is good, the prices are reasonable and the service was fine. I ordered the Cashew Beef, which I thought was tasty and a reasonably sized portion. This dish goes for $17 and they charged me an additional $3.50 for a small side of order of white rice. There were numerous vegetables inside this dish, and they were served only mildly sauteed so they were still a little crunchy. I would have preferred them cooked a little longer, but I realize that this is a matter of taste. If you happen to order this dish and feel the same way as me about how you like your vegetables cooked, you might try making a request to have them cooked longer when you place your order.

Quiet, but dined off hours on a Wednesday. Love to have a stir fry option that has al dente veggies and not smothered in some sauce. I had the chicken with snow peas, carrots and shitake mushrooms. Plenty of leftover for lunch tomorrow. The service was attentive and friendly. Nice ambiance for a night out or dining with a group. They have a large variety of wines and sake to choose from. They also have plenty of desserts to choose, which isn't typical of most Asian cuisine restaurants. I had the thousand layer cake. These are crepes layered on top of eachother with cream in between. The menu looks brand new and as lots of helpful photos of the dishes for those who don't read, don't know English or have problems reading menus. Nice touch. Conveniently located off Highway 116 with parking behind the restaurant. I'll return definitely!

Food was very inconsistent. Orange chicken was incredibly rubbery. Pretty much inedible. But the basil eggplant was very yummy.

It bothers me that I like this place so much…read more Mainly because the cost of dim sum at some restaurants is ridiculous. The fact that Hang Ah charges $8.45 for an order of har gaw or shu mai today when just a few years ago this dish was half the price at most dim sum spots puts a money chill in my very bones. But the fact is that their flavors are on point brings me back in the future. I had one of the best turnip cake dim sum I have ever tasted. Crispy fried with some great flavor through and through. I would order this dish every time I visit in the future. But I would also request that they sear it on both sides for optimum tastiness. The har gaw and fried squid were also full of flavor. I do think that in the future I would request the squid extra crispy as it was a bit undercooked and limp when it should be crispy af. :-) The spot is typical of Chinese restaurants in terms of ambiance and service. All in line with my expectation. My only complaint is paying near $50 for 2 orders of dim sum and one entree. I hate 2026 prices.

The outside looks unassuming, but the inside is very clean and neat. Not too packed at noon on a Monday. Pros: - Favorite items: Chicken Claws, Lotus Leaf Sticky Rice, and baked bbq buns - The meat on the Chicken Claws was tender and easy to get off the bones. The claws were soaked in a sauce that was a perfect mix of sweet and savory. - Though the baked bbq buns could've used more filling, the bun itself was soft, fluffy, and warm, covered in a thin layer of sticky-sweet glaze that paired well with the sweetness of the chashu pork filling. Cons: - Shanghai Soup Dumplings are a skip. They seemed over-steamed, as the skin was sticking to the bottom of the dish and to other dumplings, causing them to rip easily and lose all their broth when you tried to pick them up. - Items like the sesame balls, the steamed egg custard buns, and the baked bbq buns could definitely use a lot more filling.

I love all of the ingredients that they add, including the bamboo shoots, and woodear mushrooms. The pork belly was incredibly delicious this time around. It wasn't too fatty, which is why I typically avoid pork belly, and it paired well with the chili oil. There was more seaweed than I've had in previous visits, which made the broth overly salty. Adding the chili oil helped round out the saltiness. If you like bouncier chew to your noodle I recommend the sapporo noodle. There is a $2 up charge to change the noodles, so keep that in mind, but I think it's worth it if that's your preference. For a drink I ordered the sidewinder. I enjoyed how cucumber forward it was, and the spice from the togarashi salt rim made me want to keep sipping. 10/10 great drink.

Service? 5/5. We spent the entire time talking to the owner Sean as he cooked for us. Sean is truly made for hospitality... he's extremely warm/friendly and made us feel right at home. He even gave us two complimentary dishes -- the zhong dumplings & chicken congee set! SO generous. If we lived in the neighborhood, this would certainly be a regular spot for us. Food? 4/5. Love the menu, which is essentially a collection of some of my childhood favorites. The dishes are also all very homey, albeit a bit more fusion/creative than traditional. We had the below items: Hong Kong Claypot Rice du Jour (with chicken & lapcheong) - they nailed the crispy rice at the bottom!! While it wasn't the most fragrant claypot rice I've had (the lapcheong is store bought vs. home-cured, which makes a big difference), the savory/sweet sauce and the rice texture certainly hit the spot. Taiwanese Braised Pork Rice - I loved the ridiculously tender braised pork! The sauce was also very flavorful, although it was a bit sweeter than the typical lu rou fan in Taiwan. However, my husband absolutely loved this dish. Smashed Cucumbers - So refreshing and addicting. We couldn't stop eating one bite after another. It was a great appetizer and opened up our appetites. Zhong Dumplings - The sauce on these dumplings are indescribably delicious. Spicy, sweet, and oh-so-fragrant... we crushed every drop of it. Chicken Congee Set - This reminded me of my mom's congee! Loved that it's served with a side of rou sung (pork floss), zha cai (picked veggies), and fu ru (fermented bean curd)... just the way I like it! All in all, we loved our meal & will certainly be back the next time we're in wine country!

They also have private dining areas for groups. The waiter let me know lunch service was over, but he would include soup in my meal. I looked over the large menu, and decided to get something simple. I ordered: - Wor Won Ton Soup, Small $13.65 - Potstickers, House Made, (6), $11.95 - Ice water w/ Lemon, free Okay, I thought the Wor Won Ton Soup was a little skimpy for $13.65. It only had 6 dumplings, some chicken, and lots of veggies. It's clearly a dinner soup, but it's not priced that way. The house made potstickers were very good. They were plump and juicy. They were perfect with the soy vinegar sauce provided. Service was very attentive. I was seated near the wait station, and the waiter seemed to be expecting me to ask for something. We typically stick to the pork fried rice, vegetable chow mein, princess chicken or orange chicken, spicy green beans, and spring rolls.
