This is a fantastic restaurant that has pretty good Thai food, is authentic, and very clean. Every dish we ordered, we enjoyed. Consider that the prices on the menu they seem pricey, but each dish is likely a serving for two people. The cat robot was awesome and delivers food to your table, and the server will place the items on your table. This really alleviates the workload on the servers, and I wish more restaurants had access to this technology. We enjoyed the pad Thai and shrimp fried rice. I thought it was a joke because how much food I got. I tried the orange chicken and it filled the entire plate. They serve it to you on this A.I. cat. I felt like the employees were treating the android cat bad. I have had pad thai from many many places, great and not so great, and this is honestly the worst food i have ever had. I am completely disgusted and so disappointed. Got a to go order on a Sunday afternoon that consisted of veggie spring rolls, tofu red curry, and tofu drunken noodles. Overall I wasn't too impressed with my experience. The red curry felt heavier and thicker than what I'm used to. The noodles were on the blander side. Portion sizes were incredible and lasted me more than 2/3 meals which was nice. Had a great meal here! I went with the curry duck, edamame, and spring rolls. Everything was delicious especially the curry sauce. I went with spice level 2, but wish I'd done at least a 3. For the first time at a new place you never know so I sided on the low end. Everything was cooked to order (except the duck) and piping hot. Got take out from here and was definitely satisfied! I got the pad see ew with tofu and let me tell you....this place does not skimp out on quantity. My noodles weighed as much as a small baby! I was also happy with the flavor and spice level. I ordered a medium-hot and added more chili sauce so if you're really looking for spicy I would go up a level. I am happy to find this restaurant in Phoenix during our stay. Came here for lunch and seated right away. Services were attentive. We ordered their duck curry, green beans with fried tofu, pineapple fried rice, Tom kha soup, and salt and pepper wings. Love everything I ate here with good taste and quality. Omg their portion is big! We definitely ordered too much food for three people and barely only ate one fourth of them. At the end of our meal, we felt like we just had another full order togo. Service was nice, no issues being seated immediately or receiving order quickly. It was the quality of the food that was disappointing. The white rice was a little dry and the noodles just didn't have a nice consistency. The chicken was a little tough (possibly over cooked). The wontons were stale as well. The Tom Yum soup was tasteless. Really odd experience considering all the high marks. Perhaps caught them on a bad day. Over all underwhelming. Two bright spots were the Thai Veggie rolls, very light and extremely tasty and the BBQ Pork was flavorful. Not sure if we'll give it one more shot, we shall see. read more

Haven't been here since prior to the pandemic but we were in the area and remembered we liked it before. I had the dynamite noodle (Hot) and it had yummy flavor. Went out to lunch with some friends. We wanted to try another Thai place but they don't open until 4pm. Then we decided on another Thai place and they were closed. So we ended up at Thai Recipe Bistro. Look, I'm Thai so I am a harsh critic when it comes to Thai food but if I think it's good I will bring my mom and aunt when they visit. I grew up eating homemade Thai food and I make Thai food so I'm picky and I don't go to a lot of Thai restaurants because of this but sometimes I will try Thai restaurants. This place is clean, the staff is friendly, service is fast and the serving sizes are HUGE. A cute robot delivers your food. You definitely get your money's worth and some. I think the 3 of us could've shared one plate. We all brought food home. We ordered Thai drunken noodles with chicken. It was good but it needed more Thai basil because you could barely taste it and I could've gotten it spicier. I got medium spicy and it wasn't spicy at all. But I keep Thai chili powder in my car and we brought it in. Lol! So that helped kick up the spice level. We had chicken pad Thai which was ok. For me something was off about the sauce and it was too sweet. We had orange chicken which I did like. The breading was light and not too heavy and the orange sauce was good and not super sweet. We also had tom kha beef which I thought was bland and had too much coconut milk and we had crab puffs which were good and the dipping sauce for it was delicious. Thai Recipe Bistro is good but unfortunately it is not mom and aunt worthy and I wouldn't go out of my way to go again. As everyone mentions, the portions are huge. I managed to eat my drunken noodles, but they really should have been two portions so sharing here would be a great idea. I've been here twice. The first time I ordered the crying tiger (not to my preference) it did not look like how I'm used to.
