The sushi is average at best, inedible at worst. I've had better sushi from the grocery store. With that said, the Thai offerings are really well done. Pad Thai, Thai fried rice, and satay were all delicious. The service was not great, but not bad enough where it detracted from the experience. Really low booths made sitting for awhile a bit uncomfortable. Don't order the sushi, and I think you'll be happy. read more

I came in and the manager (a girl) was the rudest. Today I went in to have dinner at 9:08pm they closed a t 10pm on Saturdays. It me of the servers was going to sit me down and she comes out and told us want did we want, and I said a table for 2 than she was like no you can order to go or we have the last called right now, or you can order and eat fast. We had been here several times, with varying degrees of quality. We had always been treated with respect, however. When Liz returned with her son, however, it was a different situation. Aris, Liz's son from her first marriage, is a young, eager budding chef. He had always been drawn to the culinary arts, and was at the time attending the prestigious Culinary Arts Institute in Hyde Park, NY. Most of his close friends there are international students, who have helped him hone his skills with one of his chief culinary loves--Asian cuisine. Aris is also biracial. To see anyone in 2020 respond negatively to a person for no other reason than their partially black background is ridiculous enough. To see this done in a restaurant we have patronized is intolerable. The staff were both rude and inattentive to Liz and Aris, and it was clear from the way they looked at Aris that the chief reason was his biracial background. Let me quickly add that this is not an imaginary thing. Any black American will be able to attest to "the Look" they encounter when dealing with prejudice. This was absolutely the Look. Needless to say we have not returned to this place (and in any event, the food and presentation are uneven, especially with respect to prices). Went here with some friends after they had raved about the food. I will say, I may have been spoiled with good Thai food throughout my life, but Lemongrass was just fine. I did like their food, but it wasn't remarkable. We might have been there on a bad night, but it took very long to get our food. Well over an hour at least. And it seemed a lot of other people were waiting for a significant amount of time as well. The restaurant wasn't packed, so I don't think it was that. My friends claim that their take out is pretty quick and delicious, so I'll probably order food from them again, but I don't know if I'd go back and sit down to eat considering the wait time. This is my favorite restaurant in Bellevue. The food is always delicious and the service is always friendly and decent even though they are usually extremely busy especially at peak hours. Suana is the best Server. Always friendly and smiling and gets everything there on time and is very professional. The pad Thai is out of this world. I should branch out and eat other things but I just love it so much I can't stop. I get it with tofu and ask for a little peanut sauce on the side to dip my tofu in . I also ask for some of the spices and add a little spice to it. I also love the chicken satay appetizer as well as their spring rolls. I'm not a sushi person, but everyone I know that loves sushi really enjoys their sushi And I have seen the chefs making their work, and it is always beautiful. I love the cold sake. I have tried the green curry and it was also delicious. I have been coming for years and I will continue to come probably almost once every week. The atmosphere is also unpretentious, but romantic. Everything I've tried so far at Lemograss has been great! My favorite is the pineapple fried rice and the spring rolls. and their hot sauce is one of the best I've had.. The portions are always large for the price I'm paying, I appreciate that a lot. The service *could* be a little faster, but really, the friendliness and the quality of food outweigh it. read more

Just returned from northern Thailand and was craving some good Thai food. First time here and picked up lunch to go. Huge variety on the menu. I decided on the basil drunken noodles and shrimp fried rice. I like that they have different heat levels and I ordered "hot" for the noodles and non spicy for the rice. The hot was perfect but they used dry chili flakes rather than the fresh Thai peppers. The fried rice was very good with large, perfectly cooked whole shrimp. The noodles had great flavor but the chicken was dry and overcooked. Portions are good, price is reasonable and service was friendly. I'll definitely be back. read more

Finally a waitress came from behind the bar and we were seated. Took another 10 minutes before same waitress took our drink order after I went to the bar to order. Finally took our food order. I order sashimi and rainbow roll. My wife had Thai curry. Sashimi was so so. Rainbow roll was crap. My wifes Thia curry was luke warm. Teriyaki Salmon. THIS. WAS. AMAZING. This was my first experience going here, and I was blown away!! The atmosphere, service, attention to detail, everything, was spot on. Yes, it took a little while for it to be prepared, but my was it worth it!! The service here is incredibly slow and the food came out cold. The one good thing I will say about this place is ultimately the sushi I had was very good and prepared nicely. New(ish) to the area and wanted to order in tonight. I called to order Togo at 6:30 on a Saturday night (expected a long wait). She said it'll be ready in 15 minutes. Got there at like 6:48 and my order was ready! She was super quick and friendly at the counter as well. I did not expect such a quick wait and friendly service on a Saturday night rush. I got crab Rangoon and pad Thai. Both really good! The crab Rangoon has real (I think) chunks of crab and the pad Thai is a huge serving. I wish I could give 3.5 stars for this one because it's better than 3 but doesn't deserve a 4. I'm rounding up because I know a lot of restaurants are having trouble finding staff right now. The food was about average for a Thai restaurant...nothing outstanding, but nothing bad either. First of all it's 1 mile from my house so that in and of itself starts this place off at 5 stars, and my view of the food and atmosphere can only bring it down from there. Second of all, I moved to Nashville from Birmingham a little over a year ago, and Surin was the best Thai food I have ever had in the South, so I am pretty biased, and I am constantly comparing new Thai places I try to this restaurant. I got the Tom Kha Gai (Chicken coconut soup) and Chicken Satay. The soup was good. The broth was the best part. The chicken was weird. I don't know how to describe it really. It was translucent and just tasted weird... The chicken satay was so-so. The chicken was much better quality than the chicken that was used in the coconut soup, but it wasn't incredibly impressive and the peanut sauce was so-so too. My husband got the Tiger Tear salad and Chicken Sanibel. As soon as the Tiger Tear salad hit the table, the scent almost made me throw up. I can't think of a polite way to put this, but it literally smelled like poop. It was disgusting. My husband took a few bites but couldn't stomach it. The smell was unbearable, and the beef was almost raw. I had to ask the server to take it off the table before I could begin to eat my food. The Chicken Sanibel made up for it though. Oh, it was sooooo good. I ate a bunch of it off my husband's plate. The chicken was cooked perfectly and so tender. The sauce was the perfect sweet spicy blended goodness, and I found myself trying to eat every single grain of rice that was left on the plate. I would definitely come back here again. It's incredibly convenient and the Chicken Sanibel is reason enough to come back, but I would like to try some new dishes, and I highly suggest that you DO NOT get the Tiger Tear salad in order to not turn yourself off to food for the next 6 hours. read more

As soon as you walk into Lemongrass Sushi & Thai, it feels like you're walking into a super fancy and expensive restaurant. I love all the windows that give the whole place great natural lighting. Another plus is the location. This is one of the few restaurants in this part of town (Bellevue) that is NOT fast food. But let's get to the food... it's decent and satisfying but not necessarily memorable. I've tried both the sushi and the thai here. The sushi was pretty good. I felt like the rolls were a decent size and they don't skimp on the raw fish. As for the thai food, I wasn't as impressed. Don't get me wrong, the pad thai and pad see-ew dishes were good but didn't necessarily taste authentic. However, I guess I should appreciate their twist on things. While i haven't necessarily had a bad experience here, for some reason it hasn't quite become one of those places I crave or seek out despite its convenient location. Something is still left to be desired, which is why I can only give it three stars for now. read more
