Drunken noodles with chicken - the bomb!
    Julie M.

There is a lot to love about Thai Samurai in Bellevue which took over the former Lemongrass space. The moment you walk in, the bright open room feels familiar with plenty of booths so you can be seated quickly. The service is fast and extremely attentive, but the food is what really makes this place shine. Everything comes out fresh with a focus on presentation. Our curry arrived in a metal serving dish set over a small gas flame to keep it warm which was such a thoughtful touch. The drunken noodles were spicy, rich and deeply satisfying with those wide flat noodles cooked exactly the way you want them. They also offer brown rice in generous portions which I appreciated. Every dish was full of bold seasoning with just the right amount of red chili heat. They are open late for Bellevue, closing at 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays which makes it a perfect spot to unwind with friends after a long work week. I am so glad Thai Samurai is in the neighborhood. A wonderful addition to the area.

My favorite Thai in Nashville! I've tried several others and all were bland and disappointing. Disclaimer: I like my Thai food hot. Sweating and nose runningly hot. You have to order it hot to get this result (it's Tennessee .. they don't really do spicy or exotic here) but this is the best I've found by far. I love the Panag curry, dumplings, and all the noodle dishes. I've only had takeout or delivery, both are fast!

The place is nice and clean. Weird blue seating but that's no big deal. The waiter was awesome and sweet. The meal came with soup and salad. It was great ! Then I got the green curry chicken and it was excellent! One of the better ones in town! Happily surprised and it came out very quick. I had a water. The total with too was 21 dollars. Not bad really. I'll go back for sure. The decor is the only reason I can't give it a 5. It felt kind of like a diner. But that don't change the way it tastes in your mouth.

Thai Samurai is fairly basic. I'd never usually choose a place that didn't focus on just one cuisine, though this was fine for lunch. I wanted the pad see ew, but though the menu states Chinese broccoli, pictures show otherwise, along with carrots. That's not pad see ew, so I passed. I went with a bento box, with a tofu vegetable stir fry, tempura, and gyoza. It hit the spot for lunch. Salad was unimpressive, but I liked the miso soup. Service was good. This place isn't fancy but it's not a bad choice when in the area.

The food was delicious. To the reviews commenting on price--it's on par, if not slightly under, the expected cost for basic Thai food. And this place does have fantastic service as well as ambiance. While they have a large menu, it doesn't feel overwhelming. It was my first time here and the food came out fast. Next time I go, I'm getting hot tea afterwards!

Still a good spot for Thai food. As inflation has taken its toll, this place has definitely outpaced the rest of the economy. They recently changed their name and have raised their lunch prices by 50+% in the last few years. Not nearly the good deal it used to be, but still good food.

The food was INCREDIBLE. We got Pad kee Mao level 3 spice, fried rice for the kids and mango sticky rice for dessert. Portions were larger than expected, the food was full of flavor, perfect balance of spice and flavor (the only thing i would add to the pad kee mao are cherry tomatoes to give another texture and burst of flavor). The service was average, the people were kind but nothing really noteworthy. The inside is very clean and organized, comfortable and pleasant.

After trying lemongrass again, I have completely changed my opinion. I am positive I had just experienced an off day. Now, I can say this is one of my favorite Thai spots. I have tried other Tom Khas and Chicken Larb in and around Nashville and none really compare to this place. They have perfected the flavors and there is a reason this place got a face lift. People love this spot. They serve their food with love and care. The servers here are all very sweet. I personally love and can recommend any of their noodle dishes along with the starters mentioned above. Anytime my friends order sushi they are also happy with their food.

Delicious sushi roll! I can't remember the name, however it was great!

Loved this place! My 1 year old was a bit fussy and the staff was so kind and offered her orange slices right away! The service was quick and food was good. My daughter got California rolls and potstickers- pretty straight forward and good. My husband got Drunken Noodles with Beef and loved it! The portion could feed 2 people easily. I forgot which sushi roll I got, however wanted ti say they are a good portion size for the price. Overall, the Japanese/Thai options are nice to have. I'd come here again to try more dishes.

The service was outstanding! They were attentive and kind. I got the chicken teriyaki and my husband got the dumplings and tuna sushi. The teriyaki was ok. A little bland for my liking but good nonetheless. I have a very festive glass of Ameretto and sprite that was perfect. My husband loved the dumplings and sushi.

Best Thai food in Nashville!!…read more I love Degthai and have eaten here numerous times, both in person and for takeout. The portions are gigantic and the food is delicious. Service is always friendly and quick. I used to think the mild Pad Kra Pao was pretty spicy, but I think they have decreased the spice levels because now it is extremely manageable. They have chili oil and other spices at the table in case you need to add more spice. Recently, I've been loving the red curry. It is packed full of meat, vegetables, and flavor. For the service itself, it's the kind of place where you simply order at the cashier and take a number to your table. They've always been quick to drop off our food. I ordered the Street Dumplings during my last visit and they were fantastic. It's hard to find good soup dumplings in these parts so I'll probably be ordering these as an appetizer every time now. The Chicken Red Curry was also delicious, if a little mild. I just wish I lived closer so I could eat here more often!

The…read morebase of vegetable broth mixed with coconut milk was creamy yet not heavy (with a blend of yellow and red curry spices, according to the menu -- sadly I am not that well versed in curries!). The noodles were cooked perfectly, and the tofu was browned to perfection. The grilled broccoli and cauliflower were snappy and contrasted well with the rest of the ingredients. The dish had a spicy yet tolerable kick to it, but I have a very high threshold for spice and heat (I added chili oil to take it up a notch!). Also, the portion size is BIG. I was very hungry so I had no issues finishing most of it, but it could easily be shared between two adults, especially if you order an appetizer or side. I loved the interior decor, which was simple yet eye catching. The mural encompassing the entire space in particular looked really cool. The place was packed, but the friendly staff were hustling to keep the line moving.

The hardest part about eating at Degthai is beelining to the Tiew Gang Vegan. (BTW, I am not Vegan, yet I LOVE the Tiew Gang Vegan.) They do everything well - the other curries, the standard noodle dishes, the dumplings - and it can be tempting to just go with your regular go-to dish like Pad Thai w/Chicken (BORRRINGG, but they do it well nonetheless.) You've gotta try the Tiew Gang Vegan. It's truly a once-in-a-year of eating out experience finding a dish this incredible. It competes pound-for-pound in the same heavy hitter weight class as the best Pho, Ramen, Jjamppong, or Beef Noodle Soup you've ever had. I've now been to Degthai 10 times, and have gotten the Tiew Gang Vegan the last 5 times in a row.

The Thai Ice Tea was on the sweeter side, but still held the "thai ice tea flavoring" we were hoping for. (I'd say if it was a little less sweet, the flavor would stand out more.) We had no reservations but note that the seating is very limited. Additionally, you'd have to validate your parking by scanning a QR code they have (first 3 hours free). The benefit of being in a market is you can grab Asian items for home, including some fruits and vegetables you won't find at your local Kroger. As for the market, there is a nice selection of items from Asia or used in Asian dishes. I also found some interesting snack items, including versions of lays potato chips I have never seen in a US based grocery.
