This was the first time we dined here since Lemongrass left the location. It was disappointing on many levels. The booths are comfortable, unless you want to sit close to the table to eat. We both had to sit on the edge of the seat to reach the table & we're average size. The food is served in pretty gold bowls & plates that were very cold to the touch. This resulted in my soup & curry being warm, not hot. The red curry was lukewarm & spicy for mild curry. The brown rice was very hard & dry. The peppers & veggies in my curry appeared to have been chopped crudely & there were no uniform pepper strips, as it should be. Seemed sloppily thrown together instead of a welcoming presentation. As I ate, the cashier came by & leaned over one booth to get to us & asked if we were through eating. I said no. She then brought the check to the table & a to-go box, which I didn't request. We are thankful to have Lemongrass in our neighborhood. We get takeout from here at least once a week! They have a variety of excellent options ranging from classic Thai dishes such as pad Thai and panang curry to sushi. It's by far our favorite sushi in Bellevue. On our most recent order we had the sushi regular, crunchy shrimp roll, and crunchy crab roll. We also ordered fried veggie spring rolls and salads with ginger dressing. They have great miso soup to go as well. Ordering on their website is super easy and there is tons of parking for easy pick up. Definitely add this to your list when you are craving sushi! read more

I wanted to take a picture of this beautiful food, but I ate it too quick because it was SO GOOD. People people... go to Lemongrass! I live right up the road so it's super convenient and never thought twice if it when I pass it. Well last night a friend came over and we wanted Thai takeout so I suggested it knowing it was close. I am ashamed this was my first time trying it having lived so close for 2 years. I got the Panang curry with chicken and my friend ordered the Pad See Ew. They have 5 spice levels you can order, which is fantastic, so it's catered to what you want. The level 5 Thai hot comes with a disclaimer which really makes me want to attempt that one day... but this time I ordered the level 3 (hot). Perfect! Had spice but not overly hot by any means (note: I love spicy!). Chicken cooked perfect, loved the crunch of carrots and peppers, and that curry sauce over the rice is what dreams are made of. We also shared the spring rolls as an app, which had great crunch and balance of fresh veggies to counter the fact it's deep fried. You have a customer for life. The reviews honestly don't justify this place enough. I had nothing but an exceptional experience and felt from beginning to finish that the sushi and service were wonderful. This is the perfect date spot to come when you want to make a good impression. I visited with my friend. I can't speak on the Thai food, but I can vouch that the sushi was wonderful. I think the creative rolls that they had are really what carried this experience. There is literally every type of roll you can think of that could fit any pallette. There is definitely not a limit in their options for you to choose from. Call me pertentious, but !personally, I feel this is the type of place where you wear a dress or a nice button-down for a date night. I think it's kind of sucky that anybody can just walk in here wearing anything without much regard. But, you have to keep in mind that they are in a stripmall in Bellevue. Pricing wise I think they are relatively on point for the area. I feel if you were to put this place in West End, they could charge several dollars more than what they do. I think their alcoholic beverages might be priced on city pricing versus suburbs pricing if that makes sense. Covid-19 wise, they are diligent to have a clean and healthy space. I came here on a Monday so I can't very much vouch for what it might be if it would be a weekend evening. What I can tell you from what I noticed is that everyone were wearing masks and acting within the appropriate guidelines that made me feel comfortable enough to dine in this restaurant. Had an awesome dinner this evening at Lemongrass. The service was so fast and incredible. They all work as a team which is awesome to see. The music was modern songs with smooth jazz covers, and the restaurant was super clean. We ordered all the Thai simple classics! Spring rolls, the pineapple fried rice with chicken, the Tsunami roll, and a California with masago, Thai Tea and a Jasmine Green Tea Pot. Everything was super fresh and delicious. This has been our go to place for sushi in the Bellevue area... January 25th my daughter and I stopped in to place a to-go order. The manager, Tom (or so he said he was the manager) was so rude and disrespectful. He stated that the order will take 20 minutes well 40 minutes later he stated that our food will be ready when it is ready. He then proceeded to ask me if I wanted to cancel my order. I stated He did not want to go and check on the food. The restaurant was not crowded at the time and I was the only one at counter. After asking several times for the managers name he finally just gave me a name. I am not sure if that is the manager or not. After this encounter we will find another sushi joint. read more

This was one of our favorite places for sushi and Thai food in Bellevue, TN. We went for dinner 12/5 with 7 people and our bill is attached. Since when is alcohol, liquor and wine taxed at 24.25%? I feel like this place is gouging it's customers for excessive tax. For comparison look at this bill on 4 beers at a restaurant nearby. 9.25% on the entire bill. I won't be going back and you should be on guard for a dishonest business owner. Let your customers decide if this is legit. I eat out all the time and have never seen this. I won't be coming back. Giving it a two but only purchased a gift card for someone that loves this place. All the teas I ordered they were out of stock. Didn't order food because I was by myself and it was a weird sitting arrangement inside. Very very slow service. Someone walked in that the all the workers seemed to know and all of the attention went to that one person. Four ladies walked in and had to seat themselves. Tried Lemongrass for the 1st time and wouldn't suggest it to anyone nor will I ever come back. The floors are sticky and you could hear it every time the staff was walking around. The table cloth was dirty before I even sat down. As for the food was decent at best, if that. How do you ruin Chicken Pad Thai? I'm not sure but they managed to do it. A simple dish and it was flavorless and just not good. Service was just decent. We tried to order an appetizer and soup and they forgot to bring out the soup. So they brought it with the entree. Only one entree came out and then the second one came out like 5 minutes later. When the waitress asked us if we wanted boxes we told her no and explained that the food wasn't good. My first thought when I saw Lemongrass Sushi & Thai is "it's impossible to be good at both". I don't think I was wrong on this point. Allow me to stand on my soapbox for a minute as this is a topic I am passionate about. To me, housing sushi and Thai under the same roof is a mistake as these are two completely different foods from different countries. I can get on board with Asian fusion places where each dish may be a mix of two cultures. However, to me I have yet to see a restaurant be experts of two very different and cuisines excellent in their own way. Having said that--Lemongrass is a fine place to go. Do I eat here out of convenience sometimes? Sure, nothing wrong with that. I've tried both their sushi and their Thai food and neither is top notch but also neither is offensive. I do feel like if they just tried to stick to one type of food they would be more successful though. I've never actually dined in as the atmosphere is kind of stiff and reminds me of a place where old people (no offense) would dine. As a takeout option in Bellevue, they have the food order ready to go in about 15 minutes. I would say that my favorite sushi item I've gotten was just a yellowtail handroll. My favorite Thai item I've ordered was the pad si-ew (thick flat noodles with broccoli, carrots and choice of meat). If you are looking for authenticity in either cuisine you will not find it here. I would order on the safe side (can't really mess up pad Thai!) but otherwise you will find it to be an acceptable experience. If you don't live in Bellevue though, don't bother coming out of your way to come here! read more

A friend and I had dinner last night (5:00 PM, 8/26/23) at the Bellevue location. It had been nearly a year since my last visit and I was pleasantly surprised to see that the interior had been completely decorated. My guess is that the restaurant is under new ownership/management. After being seated, our waiter followed soon after to take our drink order. I got water and my friend a daiquiri which he seemed to enjoy. The menu is extensive and covers a broad range of Asian cuisine. I didn't read the entire menu so I would guess there are other foods available besides Asian. When trying out a new Thai restaurant, I always stick with my old standby, chicken pad Thai. My friend ordered a curry dish. Our food was served sooner than I expected and was attractively presented. The portions were generous, but not overly so. My chicken pad Thai was excellent! The requisite lime wedges and chopped peanuts were provided as well as bean sprouts and an attractive orange/parsley garnish. The chicken was tender and the sauce was right on target. The noodles were cooked perfectly and were not stuck together. All in all, I enjoyed my meal and will definitely be back for another visit. My friend commented that his curry dish was very good (he ate everything.) All in all, I think this restaurant deserves five stars! read more

I don't think this is a genuine 4 star restaurant, but it is certainly better than a 3 star. It's neat, clean, nicely turned out in a slightly tired sort of way, and the seating is comfortable. The service is quite good, but the lady who served us, from Chiang Mai, seemed as though she had things otherwise to do than serve customers. Nevertheless, as I am well familiar with her hometown, we had a chat about Pai, Maehongson and Chiang Mai, and the service got decidedly better. We stopped in for lunch because my wife wanted a curry...and I am glad we made the stop. We both ordered green curry and white rice at a spice setting of 4. The heat was genuine, and perfect for me, though a little hot for my wife, but she enjoyed it anyway. The meal arrived with a small salad which was nice and a deep fried spring roll which was nice but just a little oily. Fridays visit was quite strange, we ordered edamame as an appetizer, and two other dishes for our meal, of course this was after entering our drink order, the first item that came to the table was my wife's entree, the second item was our drinks, the third was my entree, the last was the edamame. Went to Lemongrass last night hoping for some Thai food to fill my stomach and help with my allergies. Immediately sat by a window with plenty of distance from other diners. Ordered a Sapporo, miso soup, and red curry with chicken - hot. The beer and miso soup came out together. Cold beer. Warm and soothing miso soup. Delicious. Water was continuously filled. The curry and brown rice came out and was warm, spicy, and filled with good stuff. The only exception was the canned peas and carrots. Kind of hokey. The rest was delicious.
