The Pad Thai is phenomenal! Thai food is my favorite, every time I go to a Thai restaurant I order Pad Thai, this was one of my favorite dishes. It just depends on the place but some of the restaurants don't offer tea. I ordered the Chrysthathmum tea that has all kinds of health benefits, this is a must if you visit. The tea has vitamin c, caffeine free, natural coolant, detoxifies the liver, rejuvenates the brain and helps ease digestion. I liked it so much that I buy it when I go to the grocery store. Great ambiance, huge wine selection, and friendly helpful staff! I had the green curry and it had a nice sweet heat. Finely sliced veggies and tender chicken. The rice was sticky and delicious. There are 5 levels of spicy and next time I'm going to try hot. Curry starts at medium, and I could have used a bit more spice, but the flavor was complex and satisfying. We also ordered spring rolls which weren't too greasy, served with a dipping sauce that was tangy with a kick. Loved it! For dessert we had the mango sticky rice- warm gooey and bright. Had a side of jasmine tea and it was soothing and warm, the perfect ending to a great meal. I think that Thai Select was delicious. Reading other reviews, I see that Thai Select has been "dinged" for poor service. Please keep in mind that as of today, this restaurant has been open less than 2 weeks, anyone that has ever worked in the restaurant industry knows that there will always be issues in the first month or so. You cannot put a group of new employees together in a new place and expect everything to run seamlessly from day one, give them a break! The Red Curry was delicious. Please note that my husband and I like spicy food so he ordered a 3 (hot) out of 5 spice level and it was too spicy (for us) combined with the other spices found in Red Curry. I would recommend ordering a 2 spice level if you like spicy and add more spices if that is not enough for you. As for me, I ordered the Tom-Kah soup (coconut soup) and it was delicious as well. I also ordered a 3 spice level and it was fine considering the amount of Coconut Milk used to produce this dish. The Thai Sweet Tea was different and delicious. The table next to us ordered the Hawaiian Rice and as you can see by the picture, the presentation was incredible. I would definitely recommend Thai Select. My dad, who's a traveling doctor, eats here often when he's in Indy. So, he suggested I eat here. I walked in at around 2:30pm. Maybe I was dressed wrong (shorts and a polo shirt) that forced the male server to greet me with absolutely no smile and not even a greeting. I honestly felt like walking out. But, I was meeting my kids there. The female server was also the same at first. Then pre-ordered about 4 apps and was soon treated a little better. The food was ok (I'm half Thai by the way). Some friends invited us here, and I can see why they love it. For starters, there is plenty of parking, and, when you walk inside, this is a beautifully decorated space. We tried a variety of dishes, and they were all well-made and flavorful. We were disappointed in the spice level - not quite spicy enough for our tastes given what we ordered (medium and hot spice level with barely detectable heat), though we could try ordering differently on a return visit. Our server was friendly and helpful with making choices, and the timing for appetizers, soups, and entrees was great. Oh man, I think I found my new favorite Thai place! We went to Thai Select for lunch and it was fantastic. The $8.99 lunch special comes with soup, egg roll, and salad plus the main course portion is quite large. I had the Thai Spicy Basil- it came with a hefty portion of rice, which was nice. It was not too heavy and tasted very fresh. It had green beans in it which was a really tasty addition. My friend had the red curry, which I had a bite of and it was amazing. I definitely will be ordering it next time. I also got the sticky rice with mango. The coconut sauce was delicious and the Thai mango was not only fresh but they gave me about 10 slices- most Thai restaurants give you less. Their Thai iced tea was also very good- but be warned it was much sweeter than most other Thai iced teas. As for the ambience of the restaurant is very nice and clean. Additionally, their service was impeccable. Mind you, since it was for lunch on a Monday there wasn't anyone else in the restaurant. So I can't speak for the service of the restaurant when it's busy. We love getting Thai food! We always get take out and we haven't dined in yet. The food has always been super hot and the time frame we get to go and pick up is always right! When picking up the food, they have a sign stating that you need to leave some sort of tip because some sort of personnel made your food. I get that restaurants need to be tipped but I think the sign was a little unnecessary. read more

I will admit that I was a little hesitant to visit a strip center restaurant; however, I was pleasantly surprised as soon as I walked in the door by the decor as the owners certainly paid close attention to the details. I was seated timely and the server greeted me within moments. Shortly after ordering my food was delivered warm and flavorful.
