We have been to Thai Spice many times. Tonight was a little different. 5 tornadoes tore through our area and Thai Spice happened to be open with power. It appeared many people like us did were looking for a place to eat. The staff handled the influx of people and the food was tasty. I always enjoy a large pot of tea and tofu and vegetables were a great light meal. What the restaurant lacks in ambiance they make up for in the quality of the food.

The best Thai food ever I drive over an hour just to come here. Try the bacon fried rice!!! It's to die for and the customer service from everyone here is always so welcoming I truly can't say enough good things. Food and service A++++++

This restaurant is a favorite of mine. All the curries are delicious. Fast friendly service in a clean environment.

Thai Spice Westlake Ohio It's conveniently located in the strip mall with plenty of parking. This restaurant still has that old time mom and pop Asian family feel it's a definite classic type vibe with Auntie up front taking orders and the rest of the family in the back cooking and putting to go orders together. I always like to support a locally owned business. It's also about expectations, everyone is under staffed, so I always appreciate the service staff who are working. Having said that the service was fast and efficient . It's also about being realistic about the food. This is not a mall based chain restaurant or a high end bistro somewhere. The food was well prepared hot and delicious. This is not only a Thai restaurant but have Vietnamese restaurant. So there's lots of variety in the menu. My friend had the Pho and he enjoyed it. We went during lunch and they had lunch specials for 10 bucks they also have dinner specials. I had the Thai style medallions of pork served with Jasmine rice it was delicious. Remember It's about expectations. I think it's good tie in Vietnamese food and it's well worth a visit.

Was pleasantly surprised by how good Thai Spice in Westlake, Ohio was. I had only ever gotten take out before. Their #tomkha Soup was amazing. I asked for very spicy. Check out the peppers. We had Vegetable Curry which my wife felt was on par with Siam Cafe. That's a tall order. We also had the chicken satay with peanut sauce and cucumber salad. On point. And their bbq ribs were a little spicy and a little sweet but seriously tender. Fell off the bone. A bite bite for sure. And finally a honeydew slush( bubble tea ) we will definitely return. Try it.

Decent food, but bad service! Extremely long waits for food, checks, water, etc. Would strongly recommend ordering take out vs. dining in!

Nice sit down Thai restaurant. Pretty large dining room but…read morethere were always some seats available, even though it was fairly busy on a Tuesday night. Two page menu gave plenty of options, but it wasn't overkill like many Chinese food menus. Red curry w/ jasmine rice I ordered the Pineapple fried rice, which was delicious, w/ chicken veggies & curry & a zero spice level. Others tried: Vegetable stir fry w/ white Jasmine rice on side (spice level 1) & Yellow curry veggie (delish) with rice on side (spice level 2), & Red Curry veggie w/ rice (level 3/5). It was nice you can pick level of spice on any dish. The level 2&3 was too much for me, 1 woulda been perfect. Servers were very polite & very much on it. We sat over 2 hrs & they refilled drinks the whole time. The prices were probably in range w/ other Thai places but a tad high ($16 for ours) if I compare to a fast casual Mexican or Chinese which give just as much portion.

I cannot say enough about this place. I've been driving by…read morethis location for years and telling myself that I would stop in today I finally did. I took the recommendation of our server on dish and chose a nice spicy curry and was not disappointed. While it was not as spicy as I would have hoped, he told me how to order it hotter the next time. The flavor combinations and the depth of flavor was so amazing. Are crab Rangoon has outdone every other crab Rangoon I've ever had. At this point, I could name other places where I thought their crab Rangoon was amazing... And at this point they no longer even hold a candle. A nice hearty crab chunks mixed in with the cream cheese sauce and filling, and it's just to die for. The dessert of the sticky rice with mango was sweet and thick and filling and just rich beyond description. The lighting is soft and easy in the eyes, the colors on the walls are pleasant and pink and oranges and brown purples, sounds a pleasant to listen to everybody cooking in the music, while faster and hip-hop was not distracting. I quite enjoyed listening to it, listening to Thailand versions of American hits. It was quite an enjoyable experience all around. We look forward to coming back.

East side and west side - which don't talk to each other (1 of 2)…read more In this metro area, there is a sharp divide in that what is west of downtown and what is east of downtown don't tend to mix. It could be the distance but that's no excuse since the freeways don't see traffic like the heavily trafficked cities in America. It's also that it's provincial! I was visiting a friend who lives in this very community on the west side and, since we sometimes visit the same restaurants, I dug up Arashi, located on the other side of the street from manicured Stepford-centric Crocker Park. Crocker Park is not a park, but a somewhat upscale mixed-use retail-office-residential development. Arashi is a long-standing Japanese restaurant. I suggested it in part because I don't often eat Japanese food. Also, my friend has a few dietary restrictions and I am not a nutritionist. Eating Japanese food for lunch met with approval. As for me, I just avoid the few things I've known to have a negative effect on my digestive system as well as spicy food, the latter of which I flat out despise. They feature sensible lunch combinations. One can pick from the hibachi section of the menu or the regular section. We chose the exact same thing - hibachi chicken lunch - except that my friend had the mushrooms omitted. The chicken platter comes with rice and vegetables. as well as soup. I also ordered the tea service. The latter is not free of charge like it might be in some Chinese restaurants. All of the food was very tasty. As for the soup, we ordered the miso soup and the onion soup. My onion soup was delicious. The problem, with which my friend concurred, is that the soup bowls were small. I could have had three times that amount of soup. I could have eaten more of everything! There is portion control at work. The interior of the restaurant is simple and tasteful, with only small hints of ethnic flavor. The regular restaurant is outboard by the windows, the room with the hibachi grill is inboard, and there is a bar between them. They have sushi and there are people who will order that, but I'm not one of them. The service was polite and got the job done. The pricing for the lunch specials seemed about right. My friend, who has lived in Europe for years as well as Asia for a few months, said arashi meant something but forgot to follow through. I looked it up and arashi means a storm or a tempest. From my L.A. days, I only know about 20 or 30 Japanese words, two of which have to do with climatic or geological matters - yuki and jishin. Yuki means snow and some Japanese women have this name. Jishin packs a meaner punch - it's an earthquake. So, rather than experiencing a jishin, I'd rather weather a fictitious storm (arashi) here and have a reliable low-key Japanese lunch.
