I was in the mood for pho and ordered takeout beef pho and a bubble tea for delivery to my house. It took about an hour for the meal to get to my front porch as expressed throughout my order. I have never ordered pho in takeout form, so I was skeptical how it would turn out. The broth was not as hot as typical but that should be expected as I didn't order it in the restaurant. Once I mixed the broth and the rest of the ingredients I was able to enjoy every bite. The bubble tea was also as expected. Overall I had a good experience with my meal, but I will have to dine in to get the full experienced. I look forward to coming back. read more

Excellent thai and vietnamese dishes. Their crispy duck is on point. Pad thai is best i found around cle area thus far. Vermicelli salad bowls are excellent (chicken has that vietnamese charcoal grill taste). Pho is authentic and delish. Prices are reasonable too. Def a place to check out! read more

Really, really delicious food. Came here for a takeout order at lunch and had to wait about 10 minutes to be acknowledged and get my food. I am trying to be sensitive to the fact that they seemed very short staffed and overwhelmed. The food was really, really good. The water smelled and tasted terrible. Had to ask for bottled water. The food is not what it used to be. The pad Thai tasted like a ton of tomato paste on it. Wow -- I did not expect this place to be packed on a Friday night in the middle of winter. We arrived to at least 12 people waiting around. It seemed a little chaotic but we figured out that most were waiting for pick up food. So, in about 10 minutes we were fortunately seated. My mom and I went a bit crazy because I had just gotten off a delayed cross country flight and not eaten for 12 hours. We got soup (Tom kha), the ribs appetizer to start. It probably took 15 minutes to arrive. I devoured it. The ribs were larger than we expected- great deal for $7. The soup was a single serving and satisfying. Not a huge fan of having shrimp in it but overall very good. Thank goodness I was smart enough to get the appetizers. It took probably 40 minutes for the food to come which isn't really acceptable in my book. Therefore - I'm subtracting a star. But the food was fanastic! We got panang curry and the pork medallions dish. Nom nom!! We almost ate everything, which shocked me. It was all very flavorful and portion sizes were good. I loved that rice was included. I visited Thai Spice for dinner one evening. I always want to like a new place I am visiting - and hope I have a great experience. Thai Spice is not going to be in the category of "great experience"... When I arrived - there was a very large party on one side of the dining room - 22 people I counted. I stood and waited for about 10 minutes before anyone approached me and acknowledged me. It took them another 10 minutes to get me seated. Every single available table had yet to be serviced and cleaned since the previous parties had left. Finally I got my table. It then took them about 15 minutes to come by and take my order. I decided to try a spicy beef Pho they had on the menu - normally I am a "Pho Ga" person, but I was intrigued by the prospect of a hot and spicy Pho. I also ordered an order of the Summer Rolls. The Summer rolls were your typical Summer Rolls, nothing overly good or bad about them. The spicy Pho was rather disappointing. I added a lot of Sriracha sauce to get it to where the heat was where I wanted it to be. Finally, when I went to pay my bill, I waited for over 10 minutes to pay. A couple in front of me was paying for a "to-go" order - and they were friends with the server who was ringing them up - which also happened to be my server. She spent a long time "chit-chatting" with them as I am standing there waiting to pay. When they finally left, she says something like: "They're friends of mine" as if somehow this is a valid reason for making me wait. I commented that the restaurant is severely under-staffed. She responded with a comment that often times it's really slow business-wise. Makes me wonder if the service is causing people to stay away - hence the slowness at times. The restaurant's 8/29/23 Facebook post says they are under new management. Sadly, it looks like the new boss has decided to cheapen things up. We got carryout for lunch: Thai Jade Noodles, Pad Kee Mao and 2 orders of Pork Crispy Spring Rolls. Probably the best thing we can say is that the food was ready on time. To start, the 2 entrees were WAY too small, even for a lunch portion. So zero points in the "value for the money" category. The Pad Kee Mao was good, but not the best we've ever had by far. 3/5 stars. The Thai Jade Noodles, which are noted as a "house specialty" were bland with no sauce or seasoning of any kind. There were exactly 4 steamed shrimp (again unseasoned) and a smattering of bean sprouts and a few pieces of white onion and red pepper. Absolutely the most boring Asian dish I've ever had. 0/5 stars. The Pork Crispy Spring Rolls tasted fine, but we were hard-pressed to identify any actual pork pieces. These came with a "sweet lime sauce" for dipping that was more sweet than lime. But due to the small size of the entrees, we were glad we ordered these to supplement the meal. 3/5 stars. This used to be the place for Thai in this area, but a new competitor, Raan Thai in Fairview Park, is giving Thai Spice some serious competition. The new management needs to take note that they are not the only players in town, or this place won't last much longer. I know we won't be back. read more

Before the pandemic, we went and really enjoyed everything. Authentic Vietnamese food and pretty good Thai. When the pandemic hit, we continued to get carry out. It seemed like the quality dropped off. Flavors seemed blander and portion sizes smaller. After three tries at carryout, we gave up. We will go back after the pandemic. Best Thai food in Cleveland! I've been trying to find good Thai cuisine since I moved here three years ago and finally found the spot! The food is reasonably priced and is great portion size wise. I had the green curry with chicken which was packed with flavor and well spiced. I am not a fan of sweet/sugary Asian dishes so when I asked for a 3 out of 5 for heat, it was spot on. I also had the Thai basil fried rice with tofu which was excellent- full of veggies and not leaking with grease like many fried rice dishes out there. Service wise they are great- we got take out but I will say they are extremely busy and were quoting over an hour for food pickup so make sure you call well in advance. We ordered some red curry to go with beef, very tasty. Medium heat could have been a bit spicier but quite flavorful. The eggplant and other vegetables were generous, of course more eggplant is always better. Its hard to find a good thai restaurant when you've been spoiled by amazing thai food in the bay area. Thai Spice was actually much better than we thought. It took a while to get seated but we did get our food in a timely manner. The tables were very spaced out. Probably even more than 6 feet. Staff were all wearing their mask. We were required to wear masks while waiting to be seated but not required after getting seated. Restaurant does serve wine but no cocktails. I thought that was still nice. read more

What a great local restaurant for Thai and Vietnamese food. All of my dining experiences here have been great. The inside of the restaurant is clean and nicely decorated with comfortable booths for seating. The employees always greet you as soon as you arrive and are very attentive. The menu offers a nice variety of options. They offer a large variety of appetizers, soups, traditional Thai dishes, curry entrees, salads, Vietnamese dishes, and even pho. I love the variety because that makes it easier to bring a group since everyone will find something they enjoy. The menu also has a section of entrees that are vegetarian. On my most recent visit we started with Spring Rolls and Summer Rolls. Both were very good and the ingredients tasted very fresh. For the three of us we shared Pad Thai and House Fried Rice. Both were generous portions with plenty of fresh vegetables, chicken, and shrimp in the dishes. The flavors of both dishes were excellent. This would be my go to spot for Thai and Vietnamese if I still lived in this area. For now I'll just have to keep it on my list of must eat at restaurants for visits home. read more

Only slight complaint is the wait time for food. Feels like it takes a little longer than needed but if you're with good company it's not terrible. Ordered delivery from here recently and was pleased by how they separated the noodles and vegetables from the broths. Everything traveled very well. The beef Hue's hot and spicy Pho was great! I hate to leave a bad review but it was the WORST and I mean the worst Pad Thai I have ever had. I would leave zero stars if that was an option. I couldn't figure out if the shrimp was going bad or what be it had the weirdest taste. I had one bite and threw it away. The fresh cold rolls with chicken tasted like nothing except the peanut sauce to dip it in. The vegetable spring rolls were pretty good and my dinner for that night. I'm sold. Ever since the Cuisine de Cambodian in Cleveland on Lorain closed.....I have been searching for the really hot spicy pho. I found it. $13 bowl of heat w fresh cilantro, bean sprouts, cabbage and lime. Beef Hues spicy Pho. Amazing. I need to try it at the restaurant instead of getting it to go because when you get it to go.....you kinda need to assemble this thing at home. Lots of moving parts including a large portion of rice noodles. The shrimp summer (2) rolls are also fantastic. Fresh. Clean tasting (I know that's a weird description). And I had the house fried rice which might be one of the best fried rices I've had in years. I was blown away by the portion sizes and overall taste and freshness of my meal. Ordered our dinner via Uber eats at 4:55pm. Waited over two hours for our food and eventually our order was cancelled by Uber because Thai Spice did not have our order ready after TWO HOURS. Our order was simple and for only two plates. Called Thai Spice to inquire about our order and received terrible customer service and little to no remorse for our troubles. My husband and I love Thai food. Today we got Pad Thai and Yellow Curry. Our food was fantastic. The highlight, my husband's Yellow Curry, had colorful flavor and the scallops he ordered with it were HUGE! Definitely worth the price to get scallops over our usual go to (chicken).
