I'd like to start by saying that I typical receive excellent service and great quality food. My experience today started very much the same. I ended up ordering a good number of items and having a great chat with the person working the register where we chatted about me traveling from two counties over because I had a craving for this spot. The problem came in when pretty quickly into the meal I noticed a bug of some kind in my Thai Tea. I returned to the restaurant about 10 minutes after leaving just to ask for a refund because there was literal bug in my food and response from the same person taking my order was that the best they could do is remake my drink for me because they don't offer refunds. I thought Baltimore just had mediocre ethnic food due to its lack of immigrants in the city save for afghani refugees in comparison to other metropolitan areas like nyc, dc, and even Philly. Asians make up only 3% of the city and were forced to go out to Catonsville to get our groceries. I was chalking up Baltimore asian food to be a loss especially given fusion baos and pan Asian restaurants are usually given the top pick in this city. That's the equivalent of the "American food" section at a Chinese buffet with pizza, burgers, fries, chicken wings, and jello. it's like awww, that's cute - an immigrant's interpretation of "American food." Fusion Asian is the naive western interpretation of a whole continents cuisine. However with America being a heterogenous melting pot they have less excuses than the Chinese buffet to have a piss poor understanding of Asian food. Also ... i hate to say it but Baltimore's food scene is at least a decade behind (people still do truffle parm out here, the 2000s is calling.) Now that you get a feel for my general disappointment (distain?) for "Asian" food in Baltimore (and arguably the dmv in general), let me say this is my new Thai place that I think will stand up to perhaps any Thai restaurant in the dmv. just because of one dish- that braised pork dish. No I don't remember what it's called but you didn't have to tell me it's authentic for me to know that. It just jumped right out of the menu and I had to try it and thank chthulhu I did. Thai food is not Chinese food but they share much in common due to their proximity and the prolific immigration / colonization of the Chinese across Asia. When Thai food can make me feel nostalgic despite not ever having been to Thailand and only a single digit genetic link to SEA (thanks 23andme) it resonates strongly with me. Specific cuisines has a backbone of key flavors, techniques, ingredients, etc. that is intertwined in nearly every dish that even if I'm eating a dish for the first time I have a sense of it's heritage and how one culture influenced another. That umami, slightly sweet; aromatic braised pork flavor and pickled mustard greens is so familiar. And the fact that it's slopped over rice? Give it to me all day. I had every last kernel. This is why I have a second job to support my dining habits. Keep doing your thing, Thai street. read more

Located inside Broadway Market at Fell's, Thai Street is a little stand with some pretty flavorful food. I've had the drunken noodles here as well as the Thai iced tea. I would pass on the Thai iced tea (unfortunately not worth the price and nothing special), but the drunken noodles were sweet, flavorful and tasty. Portions were pretty small but quality was high. Ordered spring rolls, Thai tea and chicken pad Thai. Fair price, nice sized portion- you get 3 spring rolls. Everything was wrapped well- I took it to go. It traveled well and stayed hot. Food only took about 7 minutes to cook after I ordered. Staff is very courteous and helpful/patient. Each item was delicious. The tea was sweet but it was perfect for me. It's true they offer many levels of spicy- I got zero spice. Clean and presentable space in the market area. Ordered in toast app and food was ready early and hot. I got pad thai level 4 and curry puffs. Curry puffs were only ok, I don't think I'd get again. Pad thai was some of the better I've had in Baltimore, but I think next time I'll need to get death spicy and some extra. That being said, I eat far more spicy food then most so my fault for being too timid! Overall I'd try again and perhaps something different with more spice. read more

Came to check out this new place with a couple of friends! I ordered Pad See Ew, my go-to for every Thai restaurant that I go too. The service was pretty fast and it was nice that they text you when your food is ready! The outdoor seating was arranged well and great for relaxing in the nice weather. The noodles themselves were very tasty and savory, though a little on the oilier side. I wish they hadn't served it on a paper plate since the oil started seeping through. The tofu was fried and a really good texture. The portion size was a little small, and it was a little overpriced, but other than that everything was great and I had an enjoyable experience. I have had both the Pad Thai with chicken, another time with shrimp and chicken I believe and the last time (last week) the Drunken noodles with pork belly. THE PORK BELLY IS A-MAZING - the next time I will try another dish with the pork belly as well! The Thai Ice Tea is dee-lish. Located in the Broadway Market, Thai Street has a great walk-up window set up where you can pick up delightful Thai dishes to-go. We placed our order online, but you can also order in-person (we prefer online bc we can pay prior to minimize contact). My fiancé got chicken pad Thai, I got drunken noodles with tofu, and we split some spring rolls (3 to an order). We both got spice level 2 (always conservative when trying something new) and it was a great heat level; not painful, but encouraged plentiful sips of water every few bites. The food was absolutely delicious, a great portion size (a bit pricey, but at least the portion wasn't small), and was ready quickly and was still hot by the time we got it home (about 1 mi away). Bring a pick-up-pal, as parking in this area is next to impossible, at least on weekends. I can't wait to try more of their menu! read more

Thai Street is my favorite. I don't just love them, I love love them, and have been known to order dinner three or four nights in a row. The drunken noodles with tofu and chive dumplings are among the best things I've ever put in my mouth. I love how you can customize your level of spiciness. And hey, my kid loves them too, which is always a bonus! I ordered for a group and was vastly disappointed in the quality. the delivery time was accurate, actually about 10 minutes early. I ordered spring rolls and Chinese broccoli. Both of these apps were vastly overvalued and poorly packaged. The broccoli was swimming in a pool of sauce, delivered in a cardboard box. My other 5 companions had either drunken noodles or pad Thai. The pad Thai had a strange tomato base and no identifiable peanut flavor. The drunken noodles taste primarily of Thai basil. You can identify the spice level, but it is a topical spice. Seems to be added after the fact. I will not be ordering from here again. read more

COVID or no COVID, Thai street is one of my Baltimore favorites. I've eaten there so many times that I almost forgot that it was part of the (relatively) recent Broadway Market opening last summer. I always go for their pad thai (can be made completely vegan / vegetarian) and will sometimes spring for a curry puff or thai iced tea depending on my hunger level. Their portions are HUGE (enough for me and my partner to share) and their Pad Thai is the perfect combination of sweet / tangy / chewy. They always take extra care to make sure they get your order correct if you have dietary restrictions (they will clarify when you order in person and they also called me to to confirm when I ordered online). My one nit is that takes a bit of time for them to craft your delicious food, so there is always a wait to pick up my food when I order. I'm excited to come back to Thai Street in person, but will certainly be ordering takeout any time I need my pad thai fix. read more

My husband and I have been on a true voyage of takeout options these days, and one day we were craving Thai. We have been getting our Thai from Mayuree for a few years, but after a glowing review by a friend, we decided to try Thai Street. Color me freakin impressed, because we just found our new go-to for Thai! We ordered chicken drunken noodles and chicken pad Thai (along with a Thai iced coffee) and asked for our entrees at level 3 spiciness, sort of in the middle (I learned my lesson asking for very spicy once at another place ). The Thai iced coffee was absolutely delicious, and both the drunken noodles and pad Thai were the perfect level of spice for this capsaicin queen (the pad Thai was maybe a TINY bit too spicy but it was still just so dang good). For a Friday evening, our food was done quite quickly, which was an added plus. Gotta love speed. The entrees are generously sized and everything tasted so fresh. This place is located in broadway market, so it's not a sit-in restaurant, but there is seating around it. The place is really cute and the staff is nice. I got the drunken noodles and was a little disappointed. The noodles were a lot sweeter than I expected them to be. Usually drunken noodles are spicy and have a garlic savory taste to them, but these seemed like they were made in a sweet sauce. My favorite Thai place, perhaps favorite eatery of any kind in Baltimore. This was one of the first places I went when I moved here in August and since then I don't think I've gone more than 1.5 weeks without going back. I almost always get the Basil Fried Rice with Vegetables, spiciness level 3, and I never get tired of it. I've tried the Veggie Pad Thai and Drunken Noodles as well, and both were great but I always go back to my Basil Fried Rice. The food is so well prepared and fresh, and it's made to order so astonishingly fast for how busy this place usually is. The staff there are incredibly friendly and passionate about the food, and I think I see some of them more than I see my own family (I have a problem). read more
