We visit Rapid City fairly often to visit my son at school so we have eaten at quite a few places in the area. Thai Thai has been the best by far!! I ordered the Basil Fried Rice with chicken and it was excellent, including the crispy bits of rice. The vegetables were fresh and not your typical over cooked or canned veggies. The chicken was tender and thinly sliced. My husband ordered the Yellow Curry with chicken and it was delicious! I ended up spooning his sauce on my rice as it was amazing. My son ordered the Thai Thai fried rice with beef. I did not taste it but he said it was really good too. The service was good and our food came out fairly quick. read more

I was doubtful to eat an authentic Thai food but what do I know about authentic Thai anyways . Never been to Thailand lol. But I always always order curry and it's my most favorite and I must say this place had one of the best red curries ever . I am from California and I have travelled to over 30 states . Quick visit passing through from Los Angeles. This place was stellar!! Vegetarian and pescatarian friendly. Food tasted so excellent. We had garden spring rolls with shrimp (not fried-they do have a fried spring roll for the indulgent eaters), green curry, and pad see ew-- with tofu. It was better than any Thai we ever ate in LA or in Washington DC. It was just great and really hit the spot. I had the Thai Thai noodle soup. It was the best I've ever had, had a really nice flavor and it was huge! My wife ordered spring rolls. When we picked up the order the spring rolls weren't quite ready. The chef waited until we arrived to finish the spring rolls because she wanted them to be "completely fresh." So nice you say it twice, ;) This Thai food is absolutely incredible. Flavorful, perfect heat depending on your order based on your palette. If you like some heat, I suggest the Panang (3 chili pepper heat rating). It brings a perfect heat, and robust taste, loaded with flavor and vegetables. I went with the fried rice since I was solo and could, and this rice, let's just say, you could make a meal out of this. Best fried rice I have had. Our server was so friendly, helpful and wore a mask and the food came super quick and piping hot. Food was great but service was slow. Mostly to blame on a table of 8 that got done-in and take-out order each. That's not the fault of the staff as food is made to order. Cheesy crab was a food twist on crab Rangoon with the addition of coconut for the sweetness. Would definitely go again but stopped only stayed in Rapid City for the night. read more

I won't be more critical than that, as they were pretty swamped but still got everything out in a reasonable time (no time for chit-chat). The appetizers were disappointing. We had spring rolls, fresh and fried. The spice/flavor just wasn't there. We'll stick to entrees next time. The Thai basil stir fry with chicken was really good, but the pad Thai was not our thing.
